Review: TMNT (X-Box 360)

TMNT.jpg

TMNT was released at the same time as the movie and has some relevance to it. This is one of those games that you get but you have to be into the whole thing to enjoy it in the first place. This game revolves around your skills in controlling each of the ninja turtles (Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello). It involves lots of acrobatics and fighting skills to get used to the game. It is a combination of a race and how fast can you beat the “foot” soldiers. The whole point is to follow the story line and enjoy the whole thing. There is a bit of repetitiveness in it but I still found it very enjoyable. What is different is your ability to switch characters in mid-missions, also the ability to use cooperative acrobatics and attacks, what is important throughout th game is timing your actions and that helps you to complete the game. If you aren’t into these types of Action games that avoid this game because once you complete it there isn’t much to it, but I found it really enjoyable while playing the whole game. It is relatively easy compared to other action games, and I finished in 4 hours and 10 minutes over a couple of days.

They need to make a remake of Streets of Rage!

  2. Basically I bought this game because I was looking for action game, and it was based on Prince of Persia engine. However many things were not up to expectations in my opinion.

    – Wall running should be by pressing button like PoP. Many times in TMNT I would fall down because I did not want him to wall run in the first place.
    – not many fighting moves. I am comparing it to Pop here again. The moves are so much limited fighting is not really fun
    – Story was not really fascinating. Maybe this is not the game fault, but it is a drawback of the game after all.

What was cool about the game was the wall jumping really. Made so flexible and easy, fun as well. I’d say the game could be worth $12 no more.

I got same frustration when I bought Legend of Jack Sparrow. It seems A-Team of Ubisoft creates the engine, and other teams utilize it for smaller projects. Wait for Assasin’s Creed I’d say for some real joy.

  3. Carlsb3rg: that would be interesting!

Bashar: yup I agree with all your points ! I expected more , but Assassin’s Creed will be much better!
