Vehicle Manufacturers give you the option of installing their navigation system with your vehicle for around $2000. I have tried different Navigation systems, some are really good, some fantastic, and some just horrible. After thinking about it, I have come up with a list of vehicle manufacturers with the best Navigation system included in their vehicle.

Vehicle Manufacturer:

1. Acura/Honda
2. Lexus/Toyota
3. Cadillac/Chevrolet
4. BMW
5. Porsche/Audi/VW
6. Bentley
7. Mercedes Benz

This is from the type of vehicles I have tried, and I think the Mercedes Benz is the worst from any vehicle manufactures with the most un-intuitive nagivation system available. They would probably be better off outsourcing their Navigation Department to Garmin, Pioneer, Alpine, or Mio.

What the top 3 excell at is the simplicity of the interaction as well as the ease of finding a point of interest (POI). Which ever a software manufacturer makes the end user’s interaction with his software seamless then he has reached his goal and that is the case with the top 3.
