After some time I just purchased this lens recently and used it on my recent trip. I have a huge appreciation for L Lens from Canon and I have always wanted an IS Lens but they have always been just outside of the price range. I was stuck between the 24 – 70mm and the 24-105mm Canon Lenses, and I knew that I needed something for the longer distance so I went with the 24 – 105mm lens. As with any Canon L series lens the high build quality can be felt right away, and focusing is extremely fast and taking in just the right amount of light, with fantastic AF performance and apreture control and constant F-stop of 4 the picture quality is amazing. From my first few snaps I knew that I made the right decision. Its had to choose a lens before trying it out but after reading so many reviews I took the jump and I am happy that I have. I get all the pictures that I wanted that I couldn’t get from my other lens, it just adds a whole other dimension to it at this point. It is the most versatile multipurpose lens yet, compact and very sharp images.

The lens is amazing, although when you take a photo of a face, it will show a pimple that hasn’t come out yet.

This lens is worth its weight in gold. I bought it more than a year ago and it almost never left my camera.
Simply amazing!
