There will always be good times (depending on how one interprets them) but there are no golden ages....just how history is interpreted by others down the line. This is life. First of all we have suffered 4 recessions in the past 2 decades, in 1981, 1990 in 2002 and in 2008. All of which were either on the same scale as this one, others greater. As for the swine flu, there was an actual outbreak in 1979, where everyone freaked out about it, even more than now. Not to mention Mad cow and Bird flu, which had a far greater effect than swine flu (so far anyway). My point is these things happen, they always happen. It is only more dramatic now that we more 'plugged in' .. internet, tv..etc. That we are aware of them more than we were in the past. As for Kuwait and democracy, that hasn't really changed. Even the so called 'golden ages' they were pretty shitty :) .. they were governed by wild flan ow wild 3ilan .. no justice what so ever. Heck the first couple of majles's didnt even have a shee3i among them (just goes to show you the whole equality) I'd cross my fingers and hope for change, but yeah thats probably not going to happen any time soon. So yeah, its depressing. But all I have to ask is where have you been dude? things never change .. history always repeats it self. Shit always happens.
