Phantom Flex

Never knew what this camera was but saw the vimeo video above and I was intrigued. Once he had the Phantom Flex in his hands and he spent the whole night messing around with it.

I was working a gig in Vegas with a brand new Phantom Flex high speed digital cinema camera. I had to try it out. In fact, I never did go to bed that night. I opened up a wormhole shooting at 2,564 frames per second.

After seeing this I was very intrigued, what a fantastic video, so clear and amazing. I wish I could make something like that, and I looked into the camera to find out it cost between $50’000 to $150’000 depending on the options. I think I will stick to my flips cameras for now, but that is one hell of a video and amazing camera.

Cool stuff, it is one beast of a camera. It costs between 50k$ to 150K…thats a little expensive innit? I am sure in a few years there will be better tech. out there soon. Always a gamble to invest on electronic equipment now a days.

Imagine Alghanim selling it with AAA extended Insurance. The insurance only would cost more than a D5000!

  2. Dave Chappelle said it best “everything looks good in sloooow motion” :)

  3. I LOVE the water droplets. Great camera. One day it will be in our phones!!!
