Review: John Carter

Transplanted to Mars, a Civil War vet discovers a lush planet inhabited by 12-foot tall barbarians. Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter a princess who is in desperate need of a savior.

I didn’t know what the total story of the movie was but I knew I wanted to watch it and Disney spent a lot of money making it. Science Fiction Fantasy with a few cowboys make for a very good movie, the action picks up from the start and everything keeps coming together. John Carter is an interesting character and finding himself in a very tough spot between warring nations, and also it helps that he seemed to have developed superpowers while he is on Mars. Its an entertaining movie and it seems that critics are a bit too harsh on it, if you are looking for a fun movie then this is it.

since martian gravity is less than earth’s gravity.the ordinary john carter’s muscle and bone density is much more stronger than his martian counterpart. hence the super human feats seen in the movie(zero superpowers)

movie was fun. makes me want to explore the entire book series which was written 100 years ago.

  2. @jes – Thanks for breaking it down! I just said superpowers! lol! And your exactly right, it was a fun movie, not as bad as the critics made it out to be!
