Compactly packing all your camera gear into neat package makes this bag series very appealing. I have one bag which I use for packing my camera gear but recently I have more gear then the bag can take and the Lowpro’s Messenger AW Series looks very appealing with different sizes for different uses. With the largest of the three, the 200, you’ll find the front flap pocket is large enough to accommodate two DSLR bodies while the main compartment features customizable padded sections to fit lenses, a flash and other accessories. Each successive model reduces capacity for different uses. For street and travel shooting the 160 looks to the perfect bag as it’s small enough to pack in the luggage but big enough to house a DSLR, one extra lens, a flash and other assorted items when you grab for a day of shooting.

There are probably 1001 phone mounts available from phone shops or online. This Kickstarter project called The Oona, seems more versatile than most. The designers set out to solve these use cases and more:

A GPS on the windshield of your car

A reference device on a white board or Refrigerator

The ability to mount your smart phone to a tripod to take photos or video

Hands free viewing of a movie, playing on your smart phone

A simple stand to keep your phone in view on your desk at work

It is a well designed and versatile mount which you can use in a lot of ways. I got two when I pledged for the Kickstarter project, and honestly it feels good to help projects that have potential and genuine ingenuity. I tried it out in different situations, the one drastic point is that the back of the phone or pda or e-reader needs to be smooth for the suction to hold the item.

Overall I was impressed and kept using it on my desk, tried it in my car, and even stuck it to the fridge and left it for a few hours. Its flexible and very useful, and one of the best parts is able to use it with my tripod, the guys who made it really wanted to use it every way.

At the end of a crazy year I think I have done some decent damage to my Amazon cart. Year on year the selection of electronics just keeps getting better and larger, with a few big ones that made a big scene like the iPad 2, Kindle Fire, iPhone 4S, and Google Galaxy Nexus. Below are just the list that popped into my head by the end of the year that left a mark for being interesting products and must be added to cart. Any other gadgets or items that pop into mind?

Amazon Kindle Fire – Small, relatively cheap, and relatively awesome, the Kindle Fire is a great econo-splurge if you have any interest in portable movies, books, and games.

Samsung Google Nexus – If you don’t want an iPhone this is the best option, and in my opinion a better option for sure!

Harry Potter Blu-Ray Box Set (All 8 of them) – How could you not want this?

Roku 2 XS – Simplest and best media player for your home

Mac Book Air – They revamped it and it packs a bunch and still very light

Go Pro HD 2 – The coolest and smallest video camera out there

Sonos Play 3 – I’m a huge Sonos fan and they have made the perfectly sized audio player/speaker for this size

Nike MAG – The Special Edition Back To The Future Nike Sneakers, I still want a pair to display on my shelf

Sharp 80″ LED AQOUS – 80 inches and only $5500 not bad at all, every man loves big screens

I saw this and thought it looked like a cute safe, I even thought it was a very cool piggy bank. I got up closer to it only to realize that this was a watch winder safer, a ridiculously cool one at that. It looked like a retro mini safe from the 1950’s only when I walked up to it did I know what it was. It even opened and closed like a real safe with all the locks getting into place.

After doing a little research I realized that this watch winder safe is made by Dottling, and you would only probably get it for a super expensive watch since it costs $30′000. And here I thought it was a cool looking small piggy bank, I was way off, I even looked for the slot above. People usually get watch winders for their automatic watches so they are always charged since they require movement and these winders move periodically to keep it charged, you can control that. Even though it turned out to be insanely expensive I still thought it was cool.

I have about four to five lenses in my current kit and I use about two to three most of the time, and I have been reading about Lensbaby lenses for some time now, they are not as expensive but come out with some very trippy photographs, sort of like an insant Instagram filt built into a real DSLR camera. There are several Lenses to choose from and they range from $150 up to $450 depending on the effect that you are looking for, and now they have put together a kit of everything they have which seems extremely tempting. Even though the is on the high side I have always been tempted to try out one of their lenses and after watching the youtube video I might pick up a lens, but if you are looking for the whole kit this is the perfect package.

The Lensbaby Movie Maker’s Kit is designed for Canon DSLRs (like the 5D MKII, 60D, T2i, etc…) and Arri PL movie cameras, with an array of optic adapters that can create trippy-looking fisheye, wide angle and soft-focus effects, among others. The whole thing will cost you $2900, but it might help you further your craft.

I am one of those people who loves Back to the Future, I would love to get my hands on the DeLorean and keep it as a show piece if I had the money and time to put one together. I previously talked about the shoes that they released last year with the Special Edition Blu Ray but these shoes are the ones Marty McFly wore and were self tying. only 1500 of these will be made with all of the proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. People are going insane for these shoes and if you thought women were too vain about their shoes, you need to meet British rap act Tinie Tempah. In a bid to get his hands on the first pair of Nike’s limited edition, McFly-inspired Air Mag sneakers on eBay, TMZ reports that he had to fork out a whopping $37,500! The cheapest shoes start at $2000 and go all the way up to $10000 depending on your size, I would love to have these shoes, I would honestly put them on display and NEVER wear them.

CineSkates work specifically with the GorillaPod Focus tripod. A ballhead is also required… most small, strong ballheads will work great. Fortunately, JOBY, the maker of GorillaPod Focus and Ballhead X has agreed to include their products in the CineSkates System at a generous price!

Since DSLRs have become amazing at taking videos I have been thinking about purchasing a dolly but they are expensive and bulky. But with this new Kickstarter project called Cineskates its a totally different dolly solution. This Kickstarter project is in such high demand its gone past $100,000 more than the original $20,000 goal. The Camera Sliders attach to the bottom of a Gorilla pod (included), changing it into an extremely versatile and flexible camera dolly. With such flexibility and the adjustable BallHead, the CineSkates make it easy to achieve low and creative camera angles. I didn’t even think about how you can be creative and angle the Gorilla Pod legs to make the camera move in interesting ways, you can see it by checking out the video below. I already backed the project and can’t wait to get my hands on the CineSkates and test it out as I already have the GorillaPod Focus and X-Ballhead.

Griffin make the most interesting and convenient accessories for Apple Products, I wasn’t expecting them to come with helicopter controlled by your IOs device. And for $50 its very cheap and fun, you get to control it with any of your devices, through touch or tilt, I would prefer tilt.

I think at this point we all have thousand and thousands of pictures stored on our hard drives between all the camera and phone pictures we take. I find it very hard to decide what pictures to put up on my wall, it really is a very difficult choice to choose 10 pictures from over 10 thousand to print and where to put them.

Now CollageWall is something I have been thinking about for sometime now and I have really come up with a very nice idea of putting pictures and patterns together in the perfect way. The prices are rather reasonable, ranging from $50 up to $600 depending on the number of pictures and the size of the pictures you have in mind. The best part of the whole thing is the fool proof installation of this photographs.
