After 8 long excruciating and stressful days for Jack Bauer this may be the last for him. Hearing this news shocked me because this is one of the best seasons of 24 yet. Studio executives at Fox are in discussions and some decision will be out in the next few days. It will end on top with this season as being a great season. Fox might shop it around to other networks if it is stopped. The main part for them is that ratings have dropped and the cost to make the show has gone up.
I honestly don’t know if 24 would have done as well as it as if it came out Pre-9/11. It touched on a lot of sensitive subjects, vulnerabilities, paranoia, and things such torture, espionage, terrorism, and beauruacracy. It has had high and a few iffy seasons but still a fantastic show and I’m still crossing my fingers for another season.
They are still moving forward with with the movie, the script being written up by Billy Ray (State of Play, Flightplan) and Jack is taken to Europe. Fox is excited about the movie and the possibility.
Now let us see the outcome

What he likes to have ready on the table is an assortment of candies, popcorns, and snacks to be eaten during the whole event. I got there around 3:30 pm and we started watching right away as another cousin joined as later. I had my spot on the couch which was very comfortable as we watch the cylons go to war and everything going wrong on Galactica, this is one crazy season. I’m happy I waited to watch it with the right people who would appreciate BSG and I’m enjoying every moment of it.

Neal Caffrey is a con-man who was captured after a three-year game of cat-and-mouse. With three months left while serving a four-year sentence, he escapes from a maximum security federal prison to find Kate, his ex-girlfriend. Peter Burke, the FBI agent who captured Caffrey, catches him again. This time, Caffrey gives Burke information about evidence in another case; however, this information comes with a price: Burke must have a meeting with Caffrey. At this meeting, Caffrey proposes a deal: he will help Burke catch other criminals as part of a work-release program. Burke agrees, after some hesitation. Within a day of being released from prison, Caffrey already lives in one of the most expensive houses in Manhattan, after persuading an elderly widow to rent him her guest room. After catching the elusive Dutchman, Caffrey has proven to Burke that he will help him, and that he will not try to escape again. However, at the same time, Caffrey is still looking for Kate, who he believes is in trouble.

A crime drama from USA Networks with nice combination of action, tension, and comedy that I wasn’t expecting. Caffery is the magical con artist who helps the FBI with their cases in odd ways, he sees what these law men can’t see and does want they can’t do. At the same time he has the straight cut Burke on his case all the time but the combination of the two characters is good. At first I wasn’t sure about the show, it had a bit of an odd but entertaining start but the story just kept getting better and better, with a larger picture inside each episode being pieced together while they handle their current case which usually ends at the end of an episode. The show really gets going after a few episodes and should be added to your watch list, I hope they continue at this pace.

It seems that 24 is hitting the big screen, from all the high tv ratings it seems that it might do well as a movie. They hired Billy Ray as the screenwriter of this movie, he usually does those very complex stories not the gritty Jack Buaer rips someone’s head off type of story. I’m hoping that the movie comes together as good as the tv shows does, I’m assuming it will be a long movie to get the story across. I’m still not sure how 24 hours will be equated in the movie and it will have high expectations from the fans.

I’m a fan of Jenna Elfman from a while back, I watched Dharma and Greg for over four years and watched the seasons that passed me. So when I first start this show I was really hoping for it to be funny, turned out to be funnier then I expected. The show is hilarious and I think its at the top of the list of comedies currently on the TV. She is just as quirky on this show as she was on Dharma and Greg, but this time around its even funnier and looking forward to more of this show.

There are quite a few players out there and the best being VLC, but sometimes you want a the right set of codecs to play the audio and video perfectly with your computer or home theater system. The problem being faced with some machines is that the hardware can’t playback 720p or 1080p, but that also has to do with the codecs and how they process the high definition video.
Usually the best for any PC is usually VLC since its free and works perfectly, and if I have any issues I then download the K-Lite Codec Pack which covers it perfectly. Then there is the introduction of the netbooks, they work perfectly except for video playback of high definition video being 720p or 1080p. Some mentioned they playback 720p but were still choppy, after going through so many forums and testing out all the different kinds of players and the best two are VLC & Media Player Classic (K-Lite Codec Pack), best the codec for any of these two players is Core AVC even with their own Codecs. After installing it on my HP 5101 it started to play 720p video perfectly, but you can’t really multitask with the netbook with 720p playback taking on. Even after trying it on different machines Core AVC seemed to be the only recurring solution across all forums and different machines, it works even better with Nvidia powered notebooks.

One of the main guys on the show, David Goyer, is leaving Flash Forward now which has resulted in a hault in production. Most TV shows are now back on, but now we are on hold until March when the shows are supposed to air again. It seems the ABC had a creative difference basically meaning they didn’t like where the TV show was going so the show is on short vacation. I know people are loving the show but the press keeps reporting about all the bad things happening with Flash Forward, doesn’t look like it’s future is safe at this point, too bad I really liked the show.

They have taken Smallville up another notch, I like how they made Superman a dark superhero and now they are going into the Justice League or should I say the Justice Society. I’m not sure what they may have in mind but I’m just crossing my fingers so that they it doesn’t look tacky, a lot of people hold some of these heroes to a high standard we just hope they manage to carry this characters over well on a network tv show. The trailer looks interesting and Hawkman looks like a mean mofo.

Chuck is no longer the blundering nerd that works at a Buy More with a huge amount of secret intelligence stored in his head. One those very good rare comedies that can carry a story and keep it going with some very interesting characters, Morgan is hilarious and this time around the show has taken it up a notch. Chuck 2.0 is something from the Matrix with a more entertaining twist and a touch of comedy, I like how they are taking the story and there seems to be another story developing in the background, I’m enjoying this show.
