The chaotic aftermath of an alien attack has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force.

I got excited that Steven Spielberg was an executive producer of TV alien show. This is a quality and from the get go you get so see a few of the Aliens and realize what the human race has been reduced to and fighting an uphill battle is understatement in this case. Only 10 episodes this show is a summer hit, each one was so damn good I wasn’t expecting it to be this good, and there is alway something new to discover each episode, and the twist at the end was fantastic. I can’t wait for the next season of this show to start next year, my expectations are pretty high.
We’re not just fighting for our lives. We’re fighting for our existence.

The summer season has come to end, and a lot of good shows have aired and some of them were great and I watched them as they aired, couldn’t get enough of the shows. These shows are the the ones that topped the list for this summer.

The Turtles are back and they do look mean, I posted the first set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in May, but back then there was every character but the Turtles. And in this one Raphael looks mean and a little scary, I wouldn’t want to piss him off, Michelangelo looks slightly crazy, Donatello seems like he is contemplating his next move, and Leonardo is just about to pull out his blade and rip you in half. This is seriously amazing work by the artist and they bring back the Turtles to their gritty origins, as a kid I thought they were cool and these drawings from David Rapoza only confirms it.

Neal Caffrey and Agent Burke are at it again, the show picks up from last season and does not disappoint at all. If you haven’t seen this show then you are missing one of the great ones. This time around Agent Burke suspects Neal of stealing the Nazi Art stash, he doesn’t believe it to be destroyed. Each episode is thrilling with bits of Neal and Burke dancing around each other, and Neal in personal dilema, he doesn’t know what he wants, his current life or the one last great steal. The last episode sums up with an epic ending leaving you wanting season 4 to start right away, what a great season.

In the vein of “Animal House,” “Blue Mountain State” follows three incoming freshman in a big-time, Midwestern college football program. Alex is a talented quarterback, content to ride the bench while partying with his best friend Sammy, who aspires to be the school’s mascot. Craig, on the other hand, is a number one recruit and future Pro whose life is already mapped out for him by his controlling girlfriend. Will they be able to juggle football, girls, class and nonstop hazing?

If you have any inclination to American Football then you should watch this show, it is hilarious, this isn’t your typical comedy. There is no bounds in this show this team goes overboard to make sure they are winning having fun, girls, and drinking. This show isn’t for the light of heart or to be watched around minors, from the beginning of the show you burst out laughing from their antics and it never stops, every episode something happens, and my favorite guy from the show is the team Captain, Thad, this guy is seriously over the top, he just doesn’t stop with his insanity. I think the target audience of this show are guys and I honestly love it, I watched the first season in two days and now season 3 starts in October, watch it if you haven’t.

This is the long list of shows that I am currently watching, from new shows to new seasons to some shows that I have been catching up on and some of them are pretty good. Suits, Franklin & Bash, Rookie Blue, and ThunderCats are at the top of the list.

A group of young, rookie police officers must learn to adapt to their jobs and meet the expectations of their friends, families and co-workers. To serve, Protect, and Not Screw Up!

This is an ABC show which turned out to be much better then I expected, a bunch of rookies joining the police force for the first time, fresh out of the academy. The combination of characters and the solid story makes this a very good show, you start liking the rookies right away, there are the comedic moments, and there is a good combination of action and drama to pull you in. The first season is only 13 episodes and you finish it quickly because its pretty damn good.

Kuwait used to be the center of the Middle East for Music and Television, but it seems we have fallen far from that pedestal. Kuwait used to be ahead of all the countries in the Middle East when it came to all forms of media but over the last decade in a half Saudi Arabia, Emirates, and Qatar have far surpassed us in media, production, and broadcasting. There is still some what of a TV industry in Kuwait and the talent is even being bought by other countries in the region. I for one don’t have much time to watch TV during Ramadan, working late until an hour before futoor so always cutting it close, and then going from dewaneya to dewaneya in Ramadan with the family at night leaves you very little time to watch all these shows. Previously I haven’t seen any Kuwaiti show because they are rather depressing, I recently just saw a few shows and I was very much disturbed, no wonder there is a lot of bad press about Kuwaiti TV shows.
The Simple Breakdowns:
This is the repeated theme that I have seen in quite a few shows, and I was going mad, these shows were so disturbing they were going to give me a seizure. In any country there is a variety of shows and themes, but in Kuwait this seems to be the recurring themes. We are not like this and this does not portray our society as whole and it isn’t the limitation of our creative talents in Kuwait. The moment I start seeing these shows it reminds of some one scratching their hands on a blackboard. We are not like this at all, and we have a lot to be proud of and a lot of different stories to tell on TV.

The new Thundercats that recently premiered on Cartoon Network got my blood pumping, I was so excited to watch the show and at the same time I was hoping that I wouldn’t be disappointed by it, thankfully the show has lived up to my initial expectations. It was a two episode premiere on Friday and will be airing every Friday. You get to see the original Thundera and a young Lion-O, how the lives of the Cats were originally and the story plays out very very well, you even get to see the original Jaga of the Thundercats. I don’t want to spoil the show for anyone but if your even a remote fan of this show you have to watch it, I felt like an excited kid watching it and when the show ended I wanted more, now I have to wait for it on Fridays.

The Bad Ass Bikers were back for a crazy season, an intense action packed show with the boys fighting on two fronts and heading to Ireland for a big showdown with the IRA. As usual the Sons of Anarchy were in some intense situations with the Mayans and had to find a way to get to Ireland to find Able. A great cast with a great story I have really gotten hooked on this show and watched all 13 episodes of this season one shot and loved every episode, and luckily it has been renewed for season 4 and I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes. If you haven’t watched the show then you should its a great show from FX and very original and intense.
