Its official, it has been over two weeks now and KEMS has been blocking torrents. The Data Caps were somewhat removed quietly and nobody made a fuss about it but it really does seem that Kems doesn’t care about its customers. Just a few weeks back they just went and turned on their traffic throttling and blocking torrents. Its very sad that they can change the terms of our agreements without any notification. Usually in normal situations we would be able to sue because what they are doing is illegal, when you pay for your service they are bound by that contract but in our case they are changing it whenever they want.
Kems was doing so well over the past 3 years and they keep getting better and better, they were really one of the best ISPS, consistent speed, quality connections, almost never down. But then the last 6 months they took a turn for the worst and attacked their own customers with their actions, even bad mouthing their own customers. I don’t know what they had in mind for their PR campaign but it wasn’t a good one.
The last thing I would think is anyone using a Vespa for stunting in a skate park, but Boulon from Marseille does just that with a delicate skill. The legendary bowl of Marseille with his Vespa he rides arounds corners and through the basin smoothly and getting it over just right, I would probably crash it trying to go to fast, the taping of the video is fantastic.

The Movies:
As expected Avatar topped the list but there are a few odd ones I wasn’t expecting on the list. Most of these are crazy blockbuster movies so Kick-Ass is odd man out, also I wouldn’t think that The Incredible Hulk would be there when it was the second movie and they forgot about the original. I expected The Dark Knight and Transformers, but surprised that Iron Man isn’t on the list. I remember The Departed to be a fantastic movie can’t blame it for being up there. G.I. Joe: Tales from the Cobra Wars is an action-packed collection of all-original prose stories. Flint, Scarlett, Destro, the Baroness; they’re all here as the ongoing war between G.I. JOE and Cobra is depicted from every angel. This trade paperback presents eight novella-length tales, penned by today’s leading crime and thriller writers, such as Jonathan Maberry, Duane Swierczynski , Chuck Dixon, and Dennis Tafoya. Cobra Wars is edited by Max Brooks, who also supplies a new story, and features new illustrations for each story.
This is one of the easier reads that I have laying around the office, I always wondered when I would read so I just picked it up a few weeks ago and started reading it. First off if you are a fan of G.I.Joe then you have to pick up this book, its written in short story form, like mission logs and you have to be familiar with the characters from G.I.Joe because they jump right into it. Each short story is written by a different writer who works with the G.I.Joe Comics and all of it is edited by Max Brooks (World War Z). There are some stories that gets your blood pumping and a few times I was slightly confused because I wasn’t totally familiar with all the characters, overall it was a fun read and I would have wanted the stories to be a little longer because you do get caught up in them and by the end of the book the good guys aren’t winning.

The Round Up:
There are a lot of great laptops that have come out over the last few months, some more interesting then the rest. If you are looking for a Windows laptop then this is a very good selection, there are other laptops to choose from but I went for more mobile and powerful. If you are looking for a good robust midrange workhorse then the Dell Latitude is the best option, if you are looking for the most powerful the Sony VAIO Z is top dog at the moment, and if you are looking for high specs but extremely mobile and light then the Asus Zenbook is the best option. From reading all the details regarding the laptops I would have definitely go with the Zenbook, the Sony VAIO is a great option if price is no issue.
Posted in Movies on 16 Oct 2011 at 1:17 pmMan I loved the Matrix and still do, it was a revolutionary movie when it came out and I still think so to this day. If you have any inclinations to martial arts then you will love this video, wouldn’t we all want the every type of martial arts downloaded to our cerebral cortex. This video of the Matrix fight scenes is compared with all the great Asian Martial Arts movies from Drunk Master all the way to Ghost In The Shell. What do you think about the Wachowski’s for using these techniques for their film? I think it doesn’t detract from the movie.

Riding season is upon us and so we must ride, honestly there is no better feeling of that rush when you first hit the road. I tried with all my will to remain calm and collected, to take it slowly when I get back on that bike, its been a few months since I was on, to get my bearings and the feeling right, but I was TOTALLY over the top and gunned it the moment I could, I didn’t even realize I only had a quarter of the tank left. This was right after work and Tristar just brought my bike back, I just updated my playlist and was ready to ride.
I love riding the Ducati Diavel is appeases my need for top-speed horsepower and throttle-cracking torque. This really feels like an Italian bread machine, everything about it screams Ducati attitude, I especially love the color scheme of carbon fiber and red. Heading down the road I was on a high, taking corner to corner as if my life depended it on it. I tried riding a bit more sensibly but I couldn’t get the excitement out of me. I could even see other riders and how happy they were riding, there were a few idiots on the road but they couldn’t ruin my mood. I was only out riding for two hours but it was a world of time and I made the best of it. Ducati has really come along over the years and the last thing anyone thought they would do a few years ago is make a cruiser, they thought they would stick to race bred machines, but instead they built the Diavel which is stylish, powerful, and an elite enthusiast machine.
Posted in TV on 15 Oct 2011 at 12:48 pmI always have the music of Voltron playing in my head after they win, never had I thought that they would meet their end, its just incomprehensible. What if Voltron meets a horrific fate? Director Alex Albrecht ponders this doomsday scenario in his new fan movie, Voltron: The End, which stars Timothy Omundson (Carlton Lassiter from Psych).

Now this is a very interersting list of politicians, a few numbers seem off because they don’t really make a lot of sense but they might only be off by a few billion. Some of them say they are verified by Forbes but I don’t have a clue how Forbes would even be able to verify some of them as they have assets unknown to people.
