What I’m Reading?

The books I’m reading these days have nothing to do with each other and sometimes I just really want to read a book so I do. A long time ago I thought that I couldn’t read multiple books at one time, thinking that I can’t keep up with the story but turns out I just pick up where I left off, its surprisingly easy so now I do it more often, and this I finish more books then I would have before. This is the list of books that are currently on my reading pile.

Inside Apple – Adam Lashinsky

  • Its not the Steve autobiography, and I thought it would take a more aggressive stand point, but honestly its an excellent look at Apple from a Forbes writer and very relevant. Books like these have to be read in the moment or a year later it would be dated, and its a pretty fun read since its like getting an inside view of Apple even though it is still so damn secretive.

The Jedi Path

  • This book is for any Star Wars nut, so much information packed into it, you feel like your training to be a Jedi.

Ninja – John Man

  • A Book about Ninjas, just couldn’t get any cooler, the original spies

007 Carte Blanche – Jeffery Deaver

  • I have had it for some time, but jumped right into it after watching 007 Skyfall, can’t get enough of Bond, and the books never disappoint.

Nerd Do Well – Simon Pegg

  • I’m taking this read at an easy pace, its a funny book about the life of Simon Pegg, he is a British Actor/Comedian, I do enjoy his movies.

Review: Skyfall

Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

This is probably one of the best movies I have seen in a while, there is a reason why I love Daniel Craigh as Bond, he is raw and rough. He says more with his facial expressions then he does speaks, he really knows how to throw a punch and those fights feel real. This story isn’t the typical world is in danger and Bond needs to save it, MI6 is hit and it is hit hard, Bond is presumed dead and M has to fight this out. This time around death doesn’t feel so light, its real and its a home. Bond comes back but he is human, he isn’t the perfect robot, he is human and there are some new characters that I enjoyed especially the ending of a certain change in government roles which I won’t mention. I’m liking the new Q he has the typical British Wit and they make fun of themselves with some of the ridiculous equipment they have had before. This movie takes a slightly different one but I like what they did with it, and I haven’t even gotten to the bad guy yet. The villain, a laughing lunatic called Silva (Javier Bardem), a suave Hannibal Lecter type whose motive is revenge against MI6 for not appreciating him. This movie has its slow parts but carries a more serious tone then its predecessors and for once we know for sure there is going to be a sequel and I hope its sooner rather then later. With this I feel that Daniel Craig is the only Bond actor who has stepped out from the shadow that was cast by Connery, he has proven himself a capable Bond.

SKYFALL – First Teaser Trailer

In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

After so many delays and the bankruptcy of MGM, Skyfall is here at last, the release date set for November 9th. I can’t wait for this Bond film, I can’t wait for any Bond movie, and the ones with Daniel Craig just keep surprising me. This the first trailer for the movie, I don’t even know whats the story going to be but it looks like its going to be good.

New Bond Girls

FreidaPinto

They always pick interesting women for the Bond movies, each one fits their role, previously they were leaning a little bit more to eye candy but since the 90s they played more pivotal roles. Now the new Bond Girls have been chosen for the new Daniel Craig movie and they look good, I’m not sure what the story is going to be this time but I do love those Bond Movies

Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto has apparently signed on to the the film to play Bond’s new love interest, and Tron Legacy’s Oliva Wilde has been approached to play a double-crossing UN worker in the film, which will be based in Afghanistan.
