Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

I have been a fan of the new Camaro for sometime, I think Chevy built a quality car and its probably fun to drive. Now they just went overboard and created the ZL1, 580 horsepower slapped into the hood of a Camaro. The thing that Chevrolet learned is that isn’t just how big the engine is but how well it handles and they really tweaked it to handle on the track and this was there goal. A race ready vehicle which is somewhat affordable right off the bat but its numbers a bit on the ridiculous side. With the 6.2-liter, supercharged and intercooled LSA V8 that’s good for 556 lb-ft of torque and 580 horsepower, which rockets the car to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds as well as getting 1 g on the skid plate.

All of this for $54’500 with just a few options such as lightweight wheels, carbon fiber hood, and a few interior suede pieces, everything else is the same. Now that they created this, Ford came out with their beast but with only 40 bhp difference the real test will be on the track, and my money is on the Camaro. I would love to drive a manual version of this car, I would probably burn through the tires within a day.

Chevrolet Camaro in Dubai

There has been a lot of PR going around about the Chevrolet Camaro and now they have taken it a notch up by launching it in Dubai as if its a big thing. I think Dubai has done a great job of presenting it’s self as a desirable location and a good press launch location for the car.

Now what I find interesting in the location are those open roads, where are they and how can I get there. I always like an open stretch of road. I wouldn’t mind trying the V8 SS manual for some fun but I wouldn’t really own the car. My hat goes off to them for some very nice shots of the Camaro.

Artisan Camaro SS SA-600

Aritsan worked with Turbochargers.com to come wih the solution for the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Using tow turbos, cat-back exhaust, intercooler, modified ECU, 14 inch SSBC Big Brake Kit, 1.5 inch body flars, 21 inch in the front and 22 inch in the rear. All these modifications make this one very mean looking car and the whole thing costs $69,000 for the SA-600 available from Atrisan.

Lingenfelter 2010 Camaro

It seems that the Camaro isn’t what we expected it to be, there have been odd reviews about its performance but GM can’t really make a machine that competes with the Corvette. So Lingenfelter have taken up that challenge, this is just a rendering of what its going to look like. The power packages start at 550 bhp all the way up to 800 bhp, now that would be a monster of a machine.

Chevy Camaro SS Daytona 500 Pace Car

I’m not a person that fellows the Daytona race but I do respect the capabilities of these  drivers and these extreme machines. Those who think its a simple race have no idea how hard it is to drive these cars at the speeds they do, so much raw power. Every major race in the world has some sort of pace car, and this is a first one for the new Camaro. This one has the 6.2L engine pumping out 426 bhp, with a orange and grey paint job. I honestly think the new Camaro looks pretty good, but it is going to be abused to hell in Kuwait and turned into a car people will hate in Kuwait. For now I do think its a cool looking car.

2008 Chevrolet Camaro LS7 Concept

Since Transformers I have always had a liking for this machine, it has this retro look to it. I just hope that it handles just as good as the Corvette which Chevrolet did an excellent job with it.

But this concept is an amazing machine which I would want to get my hands on. Built with an LS7 Engine with 550bhp and 500lbs of torque. It probably sounds like a monster, and I really like the color scheme.
