Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens

I tend to use my camera a lot, I have gotten used to using my DSLR even if it isn’t the most compact. I have had my eye on the 100mm Macro Lens since last year and after find the price dropped I decided to purchase it. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for, very crisp clear pictures, brings out the details of the object, I just have to find the right situation to use this lens. The build is what you can expect from a Canon Lens and focuses relatively quickly, and I have included some shots using this camera for a large or small object. I’m still far from the full potential of this lens, but I am enjoying the beautiful pictures that you can get from using it. I would recommend this as a fourth of fifth lens if you like taking Macro pictures.

The Canon 40D

Now this was something I was not expecting, I have had my Canon Rebel XT for about four+ years now and it has been fantastic. I still think that I haven’t even gotten 50% of the capabilities of this camera. One of my firends knows how much I love to take pictures, I tend to carry a camera with me anywhere I go and I always take pictures where I ago, snapping away like some paparazzi. So for my birthday he decided to get me a camera, and his brother knows camera pretty well and so he recommend this camera. I won’t say that I wasn’t excited when I saw it, and I wanted to try it out right away. It is huge in comparison to my Rebel XT, I’m happy that all my lenses fit perfectly, but I haven’t really used it at all yet since I want to take my time with it. It looks confusing as hell with all those buttons and dials, but I think I can figure it out in due time and like any man I will not be opening the manual but instead I will stubbornly wing it. Then after trying everything I will open the manual.

Gorillapod SLR

I have been looking for a suitable small and camera tripod that can be carried in  back pack without giving you too much pain after some time. After some search and recommendations I managed to find a Gorillapod on one of my quick trips. They had a normal one but after some searching we found the SLR version of the Gorillapod, which I think every photographer should have. It does look a bit strange but its extremely functional, can be used in different situations to get the perfect shot. It can be used both with an SLR and a normal camera because of the small adapter they have with it.

Camera Suction Mount

Who doesn’t like those car chases with the right angles, strange camera shots from vehicles, and moving vehicle shots. To get these types of shots you need a camera suction mount which I have been looking into every once in a while. It wasn’t a necessary item but I always wish I had it, and after a couple of weeks ago a friend called me up and told he got me a really good camera mount.

It looks like one hell of a heavy duty camera, but I have to make sure after some testing that it will hold on and do the job. I really like hot flexible it is, and I have had it mount onto the shelf for over 5 days now and it won’t budge which is a good sign. I will test it with a non-essential camera on a moving vehicle before using my DSLR. The overall quality is apparent from the moment you use it, and I can’t wait to use it.
