Brick Mansions – Parkor Movie?

I love parkor and I enjoyed any movie Paul Walker was in, so I was really looking forward to this movie. Especially after passing away I wanted to watch every Paul Walker movie, and I need to watch Hours and I am looking forward to the next Fast & Furious movie, but this one was a disaster. Seriously who ever was writing the story was high as a kite, there was rarely a time that I wanted to walk out of a movie but this was one of them and most of Nicholas Cage’s movies. The story was stale and as the movie progressed it went from bad to worse, time I can not get back.

Robcop 2014

In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy – a loving husband, father and good cop – is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.

I have been waiting for a while for this movie, and it was worth the wait, it brought back good memories and they did Robocop justice. I wanted more robot action but I loved the plot of the movie and how it developed and bringing in Michael Keaton as the head of OCP was genius. I even loved the role played by Samuel L Jackson, it was like watching an angry News Commentator going at politicans in the middle of the movie. Joel Kinnaman was the perfect guy to play Alex Murphy, he had the same feel that the original guy did and he played it perfectly. I can’t wait to see the next Robocop after this one, it was just this good, and hoepfully next time around it’s against an army of robots. If you loved the old one then you will love this one.

RoboCop Bust 1/1-Scale

IT’s been a good year for RoboCop fans. First off, we’ve got that figma to look forward to, and now, theres this amazing 1/1-scale bust from Fred Barton Productions to enjoy. Standing 28″ tall and with only 200-250 of these being made, this hand-painted limited run bust really does look like the real deal, sculpted beautifully by member Anticlaus. By the way, Anticlaus is also sculpting that RoboCop statue in Detroit (the one I’m now forced to go take the RoboCop figma to because I promised I would), so if anything, my excitement level for seeing that in its finished form just went up another tenfold.

I’m a huge fan of RoboCop and I always keep hoping that they will make a new movie soon, I keep hearing about the script but new directors keep coming in. From the late 80s to the early 90s, the coolest thing in the world is a human turned into a Cyborg! And he had the coolest gun, I think I thought Detroit might have Robots in the near future. I even used to draw the OCP logo every where, I loved those 80s action movies, and I want that movie to come out soon but for now you can have that amazing RoboCop or Officer Murphy on your desk.
