The TV Shows

The summer shows are always light and fun, some actions, some sci fi, a little thriller, a great combination of shows for the summer. The only one I’m watching that isn’t part of the summer line up is Spartacus which is drawing me but not as a good as I expected, enjoying the action the graphics are a little over the top and not enough story to bite into. But the rest are the usual great shows, I just can’t get enough of Eureka, Royal Pains, and Lie to Me.

The Shows

  • Lie to Me
  • White Collar
  • Eureka
  • Spartacus
  • Royal Pains
  • Warehouse 13

A car accident leads U.S. Marshal Jack Carter into the top-secret Pacific Northwest town of Eureka. For decades, the United States government has relocated the world’s geniuses to Eureka, a town where innovation and chaos have lived hand in hand.

This turned out to be one of my favorite shows from the summer, it combined a really great story with comedy, action, science fiction and some very real interesting characters. It would be great to think that there really is a town in the middle of the US that creates all these amazing products and developments for human kind. Jack Carter seems to be the only normal person in all of Eureka, and Henry is the town mechanic/genius/top scientist who helps him unravel half these insane and catastrophic problems, the best part is that Jack always throws in a simple piece of common sense to save the day and the story line just keeps getting better. There is the day to day story, and then there is that underlying story which leaves you wanting more, and amazing character development, a show which anyone can enjoy.

Shows Of The Summer

Since our summer is somewhat at end the upcoming shows will be starting up over the next couple of weeks I thought I would just post up the shows which I enjoyed over the summer.

One of the funny shows I have seen in a very long time, it revolves around the life of Ted and how he got where he is with his friends and met his wife but you get to see everything else in between. The best part of the show is Neil Patrick Harris or who is really know as Barney Stinson. They life revolves around their friendship and mostly life in their local bar or the apartment, and you can’t stop laughing at what happens with them. Watching four seasons of it in the summer one go just wasn’t enough, now I can’t wait for season 5.

Hank of Hank Med lost his job in New York only to become a concierge Doctor in The Hamptons thanks to his brother. This show has developed into a very fun and interesting show, with lots of times dealing with strange and interesting medical situations with some very colorful and eccentric people, and then there are the locals. The best part is how Hank, his brother, and Devia is Physician’s Assistant handles the whole situation with all these different characters. At the same time the relationship with the main characters is developing and lets see what Hank is going to do next, staying in the Hamptons or back to New York. A great show for the summer and really worth watching.

Jack Carter is a US Marshall who stumbles upon Eureka and helps them solve a problem only to become the towns Sherrif, and that sounds simple enough. Only if Eureka wasn’t the town the US Government gathers all the geniuses of every field for them to test and develop their theories to make amazing products and items. The storyline is fantastic and the bunch of main characters are great, always working to solve one strange problem after another, and you get to see how some of these experiments work. Great show.

Royal Pains & Eureka

This was an unexpected show for this year, an interesting hit for the summer TV season. Royal Pains is about an upcoming doctor, Hank, and he chose to save a dying man instead of a pompous bureaucrat who has power in the hospital and that cost him his job, and he has been black balled by the hospital so he is unable to get a job in any major hospital. Went to the Hamptons with his brother for a big party and ended up becoming an on call Doctor for the inhabitants of the Hamptons, be it rich or poor, but the rich ones are a lot funnier or more interesting characters. The story just keeps getting better and better since its pretty different then your usual shows and so many possibilities of how this show could go. It has the medical part which is interesting, and then there are the funny moments. Really a show worth watching.

The United States government gathered all the great minds in one location to give them the freedom to create and test their theories and creations, and under the government’s protection. This is the town of Eureka, and Jack Carter who is a US Marshall transferring his daughter after she trys to run away stumbles into this town and its a lot weirder then he even knows. Some very interesting and funny characters, there are some serious developments but usually its on a lighter note and the cast is great another show to the add to the watch list.
