Review: Iron Man 2

The story has been told and everybody knows of Iron Man, and I was expecting to be amazing but it was even better, if I can find the word for that. You get to see all the aspects of Iron Man as the machine and Tony Stark as the genius who falls into darkness. The script was perfect the characters fit perfectly and the Audi R8 Convertible looked damn hot. A nonstop action packed movie from beginning to end with juicy story that keeps you guessing whats going to happen next. What I loved is that the trailers were all great but they didn’t give away the story. I think every person should watch this movie, there is no question that you will love it.

Now for the stars of the movie, as usual Roberty Downey Jr. knows how to perfect Tony Stark with his darkside and adding his usual wit and banter. Samuel L. Jakson played the perfect tough guy who will kick your ass role of Nick Fury of S.H.E.I.L.D, you can even see the small pieces of the Avenger stories here and there. For any fan you really take the whole thing in, trying to keep up with everything they are throwing at you. Did I love the movie, yes, do I want to see it again soon, DEFINITELY. The two who perfected the movie, a hero can only be made a hero with the perfect villain and in this case it was Sam Rockwell and Mickey Rourke. Sam Rockwell played Justin Hammer CEO of Hammer Industries, the competitor of Stark and he would do anything to beat Tony Stark. The perfect Corporate Villain, no law will stop him from beating the competition even if he is over his head. Now Mickey Rourke just set the standard for evil super villains, he became Ivan Vanko or Whiplash, truly being the evil villain that he is, pure Russian with his belief in destroying Tony Stark. The story is amazing but these characters took it to another level, I don’t know how they plan to top this off, and what to expect for the Avengers, or Thor, or Captain America but Marvel has set the standard high and they have a lot of fans to please, I just keep wanting more of these movies and Iron Man 2 has just set the standard higher then before.

Update:

The Tony and Rhodey roadshow blasted through multiplexes, scoring $133.6 million over Friday and Saturday. With another $194 million coming in from overseas, IM2’s worldwide gross stands at $327.6 million.

DJ Mike Relm – Iron Man 2 Remix

Mike Relm remixed the Iron Man 2 trailer into a funky beat, and Jon Favreau liked it so much he took it to Paramount Pictures marketing. He had him remix a version to a 45 second promo instead of the 1 minute 30 seconds which is the original. Both videos are very cool, the top one being the tv promo and the bottom one being the original.

Iron Man 2 – War Machine – Hot Toys

Since reading Iron Man back as a kid I always considered War Machine to be the bad-ass version of Iron Man, “Shoot First, Ask Questions Later” type of guy who would use that ridiculously powerful suit. Now Hot Toys has went ahead with a Iron Man 2 movie detailed model based on War Machine and Don Cheadle, it has all the weapons and arc reactor that lights up. I think this is an amazingly detailed model that shows all the features of War Machine, but I’m not a big fan of the moving types of toys, I prefer the stationary kind for display purposes, but nonetheless this is one cool model. It supposed to be released towards the of Q2 2010 or beginning of Q3 but no pricing announced yet.

Iron Man 2 – Hot Toys Bust

At 9 inches tall this is a very cool Iron Man 2 bust from Hot Toys. They have released other models such a full figure Iron Man 2 and War Machine but I prefer the ones from Kotobukiya Iron Man 2 but this bust is really cool. Especially since Hot Toys are known for their attention to detail, the Arc Reactor and eyes are light up. A perfect bust to sit on a desk looking as a good as this Iron Man model.

Upcoming Movies – Prince of Persia and Iron Man 2

PrinceOfPersia

Two movies that I am really looking forward to and have been waiting for them for a while now. Prince of Persia has been quite for some time now and its coming up at the end of May. Iron Man 2 just released the second trailer which was fantastic, leaves me wanting a hell of a lot more. When ever there are movies that I have high expectations for I try not to watch the trailer for them so I won’t know anything when I walk in, but I couldn’t help seeing the Iron Man 2 trailer. I know the basic story of Prince of Persia but I have managed to avoid seeing any trailer other then the first one and I don’t remember much. Iron Man 2 is coming on May 8 while Prince of Persia is coming out in May 28, just can’t wait.

Iron Man 2 Stand

Iron Man 2 – Trailer

IronMan2

The Iron Man 2 trailer 2 is out and it doesn’t disappoint, more bullets, more explosions, more Iron Man. You get a bit more of the story, you get to see Don Cheadle as War Machine. You get to see the cocky Tony Stark as he is pubicly Iron Man. I seriously can’t wait to see this movie only two months left and it just keeps getting better and better. I like that small clip with Samual L. Jackson, some how S.H.I.E.L.D is going to play a bigger role, which is going to lead to another movie, this just gets better and better.

Fantastic Fan Made War Machine Suit

I have been saying I want an Iron Man suit for the longest time, but looks like one fan went ahead and made his own War Machine suit from the initial spy releases of the images. At first I thought these were promo images from the movie, but turns out this is a real suit made by a fan, its fantastic and looks as good as the movie.

Even Jon Farveau the director of Iron Man and Iron Man 2 loved the suit so much he tweeted about it, the proportions of the suit is fantastic. Anthony Le did an amazing and realistic job of the War Machine suit.

Iron Man 2 – Trailer

ironman2-warmachine

And its out, the trailer is a total show of awesomeness, if ever I’m at a loss of words then this would be the time. When I saw this trailer all I could think was Holy @#$&@)#&$()!*&!

We see Robert Downey Jr. returning as Tony Stark, the now-outed billionaire who has built himself some sweet gear and a badass alter-persona in Iron Man. We also get an introduction to the man who will be after him, the vengeful Russian prisoner Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke), otherwise known as Whiplash. Scarlett Johansson shows up as Black Widow, if only briefly. Gwyneth Paltrow is back as the lovely and loyal Pepper Potts. And for the pièce de résistance for fans, we get a quick action shot of Iron Man fighting off what appears to be an army of robotic foes alongside his badass buddy War Machine (Don Cheadle).
