IRON MAN 2 Mark VI Statue – Kotobukiya

I have was gifted the original Kotobukiya Iron Man Statue last year, and its probably one of my favorite models that I currently own. I honestly look at that Iron Man consistently, wondering what it would take to make a machine such as this, and it looks so realistic and such a fantastic model.

Now they have come up with the new design of the new Iron Man, and it looks good, they look fantastic together. Now the movie comes out in May of 2010 and this model from Kotobukiya comes out in September of 2010. You can see the developments in the suit, now to see what this equates to as weaponery and suit strength in the movie. I hope that Kotobukiya comes out with a War Machine model that can go with these beautiful models as well.

Marvel Comics Bought out by Diseny for $4 Billion

The worldwide leader in family entertainment is about to get a great deal more entertaining, as the Walt Disney Company agrees to acquire iconic comic book company Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion.

Now this is an interesting development, after all these years of rebuidling the brand Marvel went ahead for a sale. Comics as many know were having a tough time over the last decade, it wasn’t like it used to be and then Comics were losing ground to a lot of different media and a lot to Manga but they made it big with Spiderman and X-Men, from there they expanded. The easy part for them is that they already had the storyline and depth to make this amazing movies and so many in the horizon, and I think they made a great business move to sell while they are on top. Disney does have a lot to offer and they do have some interesting ideas, I just hope they don’t change the direction that Marvel Universe is heading in or slow down any development of the upcoming movies.

Review: Wolverine – X-Men Origins

I have been waiting months for this movie, I didn’t want to see that version that was leaked or a censored version so I waited and it was worth the wait. Seeing the adamantium fused into the bones of Wolverine and taking the new life of an X-Men got me worked up. Overall this movie was worth the wait, and I think Gambit was depicted perfectly as the character in the comic books. The storyline develops perfectly and the battle between Wolverine and Striker unravels towards the end in a perfect way, I really liked how the story was developed and we got to see the other characters who will later turn into the X-Men.

Planet Hulk – Trailer 2009

Marvel and DC Movies have been great over the past couple of years, and I can’t wait for the next one to come out. This time around they have come with the Planet Hulk which revolves around the Hulk being talken off the earth because he is a danger to people, so he manages to get out of his restraints and crash land on a planet that turns him into a gladiator of sorts. With an incredible battle in front of him, the Hulk fights the meanest and toughest monsters, lets see what he does to get out of this. The other part of this comic story is the return of the Hulk to Earth but hopefully that will be released after the success of this animated movie.

Marvel And Madhouse Announce Anime Adaptations of Wolverine And Ironman

How cool is that, they are making Anime versions of Wolverine and Ironman. I honestly think that Anime is a lot more complex and artist then all kinds of western animation and now so does Marvel. And based on the previews in the youtube trailers I think they look pretty damn good. They have added a much needed darker appeal to these characters and it will be released in spring of 2010. Looks like Madhouse did an amazing job with these anime adaptations just based on the trailers of Ironman and Wolverine, I really can’t wait to see this.

Ironman. The dogfights look amazing and as expected from Madhouse the animation quality is top notch. Ironman himself though… I can see how they wanted him to look more like a shiny mecha but all I can think about is that someone took an Ironman sketch and applied the Plastic Wrap effect in Photoshop to it. The villian though, that’s a whole other story! He’s part Captain Harlock, part The Major from Hellsing and all kinds of awesome.

Wolverine really hit close to home. I’ve never been a Wolverine fan but this reimagining of the character as a Japanese badass is an instant hit. The mood is a lot grittier and thicker than the american version and will remind you a lot of classic samurai anime films, specially Ninja Scroll.

Spiderman 1978 Japan

Who said the Japanese didn’t like Spiderman, they turned him into a hybrid of Bruce Wayne with all the gadgets and a Japanese Mecha Robo with his own giant robot to be called upon when needed. The best part of the Japanese is that they integrate robots into anything, gotta love the theme song.

Marvel Universe MMO

This is probably rumors flying around regarding this MMO, I’m even confused as hell as to which studio is working on it. But wouldn’t it be cool to play your favorite Marvel character. I would probably be Colossus or Dead Pool or Forge, I know someone would usually go for the conventional characters but these guys are fantastic.

Review: The Incredible Hulk

The Incredible Hulk has always been an interesting comic from Marvel, a good guy with uncontrollable power who always causes collateral damage while trying to do the right thing. I enjoyed the first movie they made even though it was a bit slow, but it follow the comic book theme down to the letter. In this case it was a little different, you come into the movie from the get go, and the disaster has already occurred. Edward Norton plays the Bruce Banner, and plays him excellently, then there is Liv Tyler who plays Dr Elizabeth Ross, Bruces’ very good looking girlfriend, at least in this movie. The action is nonstop and you really enjoy the movie, the movie is in pretty good condition in Kuwait there were a few cut scenes but it was always intimate scenes so it didn’t take away from the movie too much.

Ironman Bust

I have always been a fan of Ironman, and other Marvel Comic characters, mostly all comic characters, especially the interesting superheros who have flaws. Right now Ironman the movie has got my blood going, and as I was browsing through the slideshow website, I stumbled upon this life size bust. Its is th realistic size of the top half of Ironman’s armor and I am really thinking about getting this and placing it on a mantel of some sort, I don’t care where I place it but I have to it, what do you guys think? Oh and the eyes glow.

Review: Ironman

This movie is everything it promised and more, I have been waiting over a year to see this movie and it was well worth it. I have been a fan of Ironman from the early 90s reading the Marvel comics, he was a superhero you feel you could reach since he was human and developed the technology to able to fight.

I was afraid when I heard Robert Downey Jr. was chosen as Tony Stark, in the comics Tony Stark was this genius who was also troubled, always trying to help and push himself to his limit, he is a solitary man with two lives. Robert Downey Jr. did an amazing job playing Tony Stark, he gave a certain flare to Tony’s darkness which I thought was excellent. The movie was executed perfectly, there was a perfect mix of special effects, it wasn’t overboard. The movie was perfect, you are satisfied with the movie and enjoyed it, but you are left wanting more. Stay after the credits there is a surprise which isn’t to be missed, can’t wait for the next Ironman.
