2013 Summer TV Shows

Graceland

This has been an interesting summer with a lot of different shows as well as the usual shows. Suits is just over the top good, Devious was an interesting introduction and so is Graceland. And I never get tired of Franklin & Bash, I just wish there were more episodes to enjoy.

DeviousMaids

  • Falling Skies – Haven’t finished it, but its getting intense
  • Franklin & Bash – Loving the show as usual, but not more Epic then the last season
  • Suits – This season is Epic, its ridiculous how good its gotten
  • Devious Maids – This turned out to be a surprise of a show, the maids know everything
  • Royal Pains – This show is just as good as usual, I do enjoy Dr Lawson
  • The Newsroom – Haven’t started it yet, but really looking forward to it.
  • Graceland – A pretty interesting Interagency Law Enforcement Team in Malibu, a complex action show
  • Under the Dome – Halfway through it, still confused as to the dome but very interesting to see whats happening with people
  • Rookie Blue – This season isn’t as good as the previous one
  • Ray Donovan – Crazy show, just the first two episodes and its over the top

Friends – After 9 Years

Friends101

It took me 9 years to watch the last season of Friends, I was avoiding it for a while, but then I just decided to watch Season 10 from the beginning. I didn’t see the last half of it. So it was fun watching the show again, feels like everything is fresh again, then I realized that they had a CRT TV in the living room and still used cordless phones in the apartment. The old gang doesn’t really change, with Joey, Chandler, Phoebe, Ross, Rachel, and Monica. Back then I only knew them as that, didn’t even want to know their real names. I remember when people used to buy the video tapes in christmas and summer to watch show in Kuwait, nothing was online then as much as now, we would wait months to see the show and I remember I was addicted thanks to my cousin. And then I got to watch it every Thursday on NBC at home in my apartment in the states, it felt like they were a part of our lives, I don’t think I got as attached to a show or familiar with a show as much as this. My apartment furniture was from Pottery Barn because of them, it has a somewhat same feel as to the friends apartment since I wanted to be comfortable. There is a lot I had tied to this show, and it was one of the reasons that I was looking forward moving to the states, that you would have a life like that, going out on the town, finding that crazy Chinese place you love, and these guys make you love it. So the ending was tough to watch so I didn’t want it, for 9 years, and I finally did and I have to say I’m happy I did. I do wish the show never ended thats for sure, I loved it and everyone on it. I pretty much look for any show with Joey or Chandler on it, because to me these guys will always be great.

Shows That Ended – 2013

TheOfficeSeasonFinale1

There are a lot of shows that have ended that have been around for a long time. Some of them came on the first few years I started working so it has been a constant for me to watch them, and now they have come to an end and this is what I have done the last two weeks is catch up on tv shows when I could and in this case finish the ones I knew have ended, and sometimes there are shows I just don’t finish for some reason.

30 Rocks – 7 Seasons

Liz lived happily and neurotically ever after. Jack got to sail off into the sunset and come right back. Kenneth’s immortal vessel got to run NBC well into the flying-car future. And Lutz — 51-year-old, bisexual, part-Inuit Lutz — got to pick the lunch place. One hell of a season finale.

Rules of Engagement – 7 Seasons

This is one of the few shows that I enjoyed David Spade in, and they wrapped it up a bit on the last episode because they knew the end was coming. And I love Patrick Warburton the guy is seriously a guy’s guy and every man thinks like he does but they don’t state, he just comes right out and says it. Too bad this show ended, was hoping for more.

The Office – 9 Seasons

A show that thrived on heartache, awkwardness, and cheekiness, things wrapped up very cheerily for the characters — and for the fans, who got one last Michael Scott “that’s what she said.” The Office came to an end with a hell of last episode and I loved it.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars – 5 Seasons

Lucas Ranch was sold Star Wars to Disney and a few shows got chopped off and this is one of them. Anakin and Ashoka were developed well into the series, the ending wasn’t what I was hoping for since there is always more you can get from the Star Wars Universe.

2013 TV Shows That Got Axed

1600 Penn

So many good shows went out the window, I’m seriously surprised that they cancelled so many when they were so entertaining, but a lot of good shows got renewed which I’m happy they made it. This doesn’t even include the new shows like JJ Abram’s “Believe” and the rest of the new line up.

Shows Cancelled:

  • Touch – Jack Bauer Can Go to 24
  • Whitney – 2nd Season and Done, I thought it was funny
  • 1600 Penn – This Show Was Funny, I Don’t Know Why It Was Canceled After The First Season
  • Guys With Kids – Come On It Was Funny, Why Was It Cancelled
  • Up All Night – Didn’t Know Where It Was Going
  • Don’t Trust The Bitch In Apt23 – That Went Out Quick
  • Animal Practice – This Was Axed Early On
  • The Office - Season 9

The Office – The Last Season – The End Of An Era

TheOfficeS901

For 9 years Dunder Miflin Paper Company has been recording the Office of the Scranton Branch and still nobody has explained to them why. Things just keep getting better, and I know there area a lot of people addicted to it, I for one can’t get enough of Dwight, the guy is an evil genius.

TheOfficeS902

But all good things must come to end, there are four episodes left to air, and this week they recorded the last show, the set of The Office has shutdown. Honestly it has been a great show, even when Steve Carrel left I thought they weren’t going to do as well but between all the characters and amazing story they really managed to end the show while they are on top. I just got used to watching them all the time, they talk to the camera like they know its there. But now there are only a few left and I’m not sure how they are planning to end it.

What I’m Watching Now!

TheOfficeS9

The list of TV Show never end, and this is the full list that I am some how trying to keep up with. I think one or two have slipped off of the list but this is the jest of the TV Shows I’m following, that doesn’t even include the anime, that is a totally different and long list as well. Right now The Walking Dead is topping the list with Arrow and Young Justice for the animated shows with the Green Lantern. Comedic TV Shows are back in full swing and I’m loving it, summer shows are almost upon us but I’m still enjoy the current line up on the shows, let me know if i’m missing anything.

Show Are Back On January

Its about a month since all the shows went into hibernation for the month of December but things have kicked off again. Its nice to see a few funny episodes inbetween all the serious shows I have been watching. Some shows I’m going to leave to pile up a bit before catching up with them, and the rest I will enjoy like Go On, Guys With Kids, Chicago Fire, Person Of interest, The Big Bang Theory, too many good shows out there. The odd one though in this mix is The Transporter, new show but it feels weird that Jason Statham isn’t in it, like he got replaced with a crappy double, but I will give this show a chance.

Summer TV Wrap Up

Newsroom

The unexpected Aaron Sorkin TV Show which caused some drama, a controversial drama about a news studio and its people, with the main news anchor as the main character. This is one very intense show that pulls you in from the first few episodes, I ended up waiting at the edge from week to week to watch the show. It takes shot at every political party, trying to put the truth out and ruffling a lot of feathers and it just keeps getting better and better. For a summer show its amazing, I can’t believe that it is only 10 episodes and we are going to have to wait until next summer to watch where this is going.

<

Suits

The second season turned out to be even more intense then the first one, and honestly I didn’t think that they could do better. Harvey was in a battle for his life in some of these cases as well as within the firm. Mike as usual was the genius that helped piece things together with him. The characters get more intertwined and it was a hell of a season with every episode worth watching. i just can’t get enough of Mike as a smart ass, its fun seeing his genius play out in the show. If you haven’t seen Suits then you are really missing out.

Franklin & Bash

These guys just do it again, keeping things funny and interesting in Enfeld & Daniels. This time around they take a more direct roll within the firm and things get a little more crazy with Franklin’s father tries to take over the firm. The season finale was funny, these guys make for a fantastic combination and Pendy there assistant is just hilarious. Its annoying that we have to wait so long for this comedy to come back

Falling Skies

Season 2 just took one hell of a twist, they made it through, they got deeper into the fight against the aliens. The 2nd Mass start hitting them where it hurts, they make progress to find their base or the new capital. The story gets more complex and even more interesting then last season with the introduction of the overlords, you get to see some intense battles new alien weapons are introduced and they are disgusting. Just as they take the fit to them, the season finale was one hell of a cliffhanger, I can’t wait for next season luckily the show was renewed for another season from 2nd episode of season 2
