A Challenge Issued

I don’t know how this exactly happened but one thing lead to another and I have several challenges ahead of me to accomplish by the first weekend in July. This was instigated by M.F.W. during one of our work meetings, somehow the subject got diverted to what we can or can’t accomplish if we set out minds to it and who is better at what, and I was thoroughly insulted by him on several levels so the challenges arose from that.

Two Challenges to Accomplish by the 1st Weekend of July 2012:

  • Weight Loss & Strength Gain, who will win, and I currently weigh 112 KG
  • Wakeboarding, who has the best skills and points will be awarded, tricks and all capabilities

I’m honestly taking this very very seriously, I won’t be losing at either. Luckily I have a lot of weight to lose so I’m going to take this to the extreme. Gonna hit the gym until I collapse and going to regulate my food to a degree, my issue isn’t really food its lack of movement and that will be something I will work on.

Wake-boarding is one of the sports that I love and I consider myself to be ok at it, not horrible but with the gym workout I’m going to increase my agility and endurance so it will help with Wake-Boarding and then I will take the risks of bodily injury to perform some crazy tricks, in my head they are crazy but can I do it.

Now I’m going to start this coming week and jump right into it. I’m going to start this off on my own and then probably look for some professional help with the gym then get some world champion wakeboarder to train me for 10 days. M. F. W. I will destroy you!

MISSION ACCEPTED (Insert Mission Impossible Theme Song Here)


I’m not one for massages but every once in a while a good foot massage does wonders. I read that a lot of muscles and nerves in the foot tie in with different muscles and organs throughout the body, and certain people with experience and skill can read it when massaging your feet.

Recently I decided to get a foot massage treatment because my feet were aching, and I found a good place while traveling. When the woman was massaging my foot she asked if my lower back was acting up recently, and it was, I kept waking up at night with my lower back stiff and killing me, so I end up not sleeping at night. She kept pushing on my foot and told me that my back will be a bit more relaxed today but I need to work on my back or else it will get worse at a later stage. She told me that I had an acid build up in my back and that I need to stretch more and soak in bath salts once a week to help. I need to reach my toes while stretching, I don’t think I can do that without pulling several muscles.

Recently I have been feeling out of shape and after this reflexology session I realized that I do need to get in shape or things are going to get much worse. But that foot massage was damn good, felt like I was walking on jello.

Ridiculously Out Of Shape


I have come to the very clear conclusion over the last two weeks that I have reached the worst physical shape that I have ever been in, not as in gaining weight but as in endurance or any physical activity what so ever. There are a few factors that have lead me to this conclusion.


When I was walking the long walk in Dubai Terminal after landing with Wataniya Airlines I felt like that became a very long corridor and I was walking very quickly and quickly running out of breath, when an old gentlemen passed me as if this is normal walking pace, then another gentlemen over took me while I was trying to catch my breath. That was a very apparent indication as to my health is not in the best of shape.

25th & 26th Weekend

During that weekend I ran into several limits of my physical capabilities. As I was tossing some of those balloons at young children feeling like a very big man, and any victim that I can see, I ran into a problem. I pulled my shoulder muscle and my back felt out of whack, I felt like a really old man who could barely move, that was a very sad feeling. The second day I decided just to watch and laugh, but towards the end of the day our neighbors kids ran out of people target so they decided to target us, I never knew that 7 to 11 year old kids could be so evil, they ran after us with those foam cans and some of my friends suddenly became ridiculously fast and I was running for my life when the kids caught up with me and pounced on me. I felt like a deer between cheetahs, never in my life did I think I would be slower then a 7 year old kid, thats a new low.

The Solution:

Simply enough, there is no way around this, I need to get back into shape, I’m going to start it realistically but I’m going to start it and stick to it.
