The release of the GoPro Hero 4 caused a lot of waves, it is probably the most bought action camera on the market, it dominates that market segment, and you see it every where. Now with the release of the GoPro Hero 4 everyone wants one, but which one do you get?

Rhino makes some fantastic camera rigs, sliders, stabilizers, and go pro accessories. And in this video they done a very simple and straight forward comparison between the Black & the Silver, and its not as one sided as you would expect.

Lucy – 2014

A woman, accidentally caught in a dark deal, turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.

The concept of human brain develpment turned into a movie has been done a few times, but with the voice of Morgan Freeman and the acting and action capabilities of Scarlett Johansson it is bound to be a potent formula. It’s a movie that pulls you in and your on one hell of thrill ride as Scarlett Johansson turns from a ditzy club goer to a merciless warrior with super human capabilities. The action scenes are great and she kicks ass in them, and then there is her cold demeanor which she pulls off effortlessly. Loved the pace of the movie and the story, but then it just gets a little too weird and science-eee at the end. The conclusion should have been a bit less time travel and more ridiculous action, still a fun movie to watch.

Batman – Assault On Arkham

The film is set in the universe of the Batman: Arkham video game franchise, and occurs after the events of Batman: Arkham Origins. The story focuses primarily on theSuicide Squad, particularly Batman villains Deadshot and Harley Quinn, with Batman in a supporting role. In the film, a Suicide Squad of six criminals is dispatched byAmanda Waller to break into Arkham Asylum, where they must contend with the asylum’s inmates and Batman as they attempt to complete their mission.

This is by THE best direct to video made by DC Comics, or any other company for that matter. There are a lot of DTVs made and the creators get to have a good amount of experimentation in style and the quality of the animation itself varies drastically, but DC Comics is usually on top of their game with their Direct to Video Movies. For once they didn’t stick to your typical storyline, and the bad guys played a much deeper role then just Batman himself, the Suicide Squad had a colorful array of characters who carried the movie in a more comic book style then seen before, and that made it that much better. The combination of action, artstyle, humor, wit, voices, and characters took this movie to another level, now DC has set the bar so high it’s going to be hard to beat this movie. One thing to keep in mind this movie is not for kids, and I will leave it at that.

Justice League: War

The world’s finest heroes found the Justice League in order to stop an alien invasion of Earth.

The one thing I love about the DC Universe is that they are always coming out with these animated movies and at very high pace. These aren’t theatrical releases but each o

What I Liked

The animation style was very clean and with the right combination of animation and CG. The story was high octave and very well put together for a short movie. We got see the characters at different stages, so you could meet them individually first except for maybe Superman. Then there was the bromance between Green Lantern & The Flash it was great and hilarious, hopefully this is eventually translated in to a live action film. Batman was great in the movie and as dark as usual, the one who puts the plans together. Cyborg & Captain Marvel had a great rythem going together, and I just wanted a bit more from Captain Marvel, he is always underplayed in these movies, Wonder Woman was of course the badass. The humor in the movie played out perfectly.

What I Disliked

It was a short movie so there were a few parts of the stories that were forced together. Darkseid’s introduction didn’t play out smoothly and he felt more like a video game villain that you reach at the end of the game.

Overall it is a good addition to DC animated library and if you do like comic movies then this is one to enjoy.

Valvrave the Liberator

Thanks to the development of the Dyson Sphere, The majority of the human populace lives in space. The Dorssia Military Federation, and the Atlantic Rim United States exist as major Military countries, while JOIR is a neutral principality, the story follows Haruto Tokishima as a normal boy going thru high school in T.C (True Calendar) year 71. This all changes when Haruto meets the humanoid weapon Valvrave.

Finding out that your population is under attack with no hope of getting away, and the Valvrave are their only hope. I really like the precedence of the story and how it develops. There are more players who show up as the story progresses but season two is a hell of continuation with a crazy ending. It’s not as good as Lelouche The Rebellion but still pretty good and fun to watch, got to enjoy how the Valvraves develop in the story and their pilots.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

With the 70s behind him, San Diego’s top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy, returns to take New York’s first 24-hour news channel by storm.

If you even like Will Ferrel you will love this movie, from beginning to end I couldn’t stop laughing, I can never get enough of Will Ferrel movies but this one had the perfect cast to support him and make this one hell of a movie. Ron Burgendy shined in Anchorman 2, I thought Anchorman was hilarious that it couldn’t be funnier, but they topped it off with this one. I loved the character played by Steve Carrel, he perfected it, I could feel a bit of Michael Scott from the Office coming through with him in that suit. The best part is the insanely ridiculous battle scene at the end, just the amount of famous people who were in it was enough, you could tell that people joined in because they were enjoying themselves making this movie, if you haven’t seen it then watch it.

I Frankenstein

Frankenstein’s creature finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.

I was extremely looking forward to this, I loved the original Underworld, it was seriously bad ass and this looked to be like one hell of a movie, and I am fan of Erin Eckhart he was in a few movies that I really liked The Dark Knight, Olympus Has Fallen, Battle Los Angeles, Thank You for Smoking. This had an interesting start and things were developing then the bad guy of the movie turned out to be the bad guy from Underworld, the story took twists and turns where it didn’t make sense what so ever. It was an interesting fantasy type movie, and they were trying to bring the Frankenstein story to this age, but it just didn’t make sense. Erin Eckhart is a good actor but he needs help choosing scripts, he has had a few hits and misses, this was a miss for sure. It got a one out of five because it has Eric Eckhart and the Yvonne Strahovski (Sarah Walker from Chuck).

Robcop 2014

In 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy – a loving husband, father and good cop – is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.

I have been waiting for a while for this movie, and it was worth the wait, it brought back good memories and they did Robocop justice. I wanted more robot action but I loved the plot of the movie and how it developed and bringing in Michael Keaton as the head of OCP was genius. I even loved the role played by Samuel L Jackson, it was like watching an angry News Commentator going at politicans in the middle of the movie. Joel Kinnaman was the perfect guy to play Alex Murphy, he had the same feel that the original guy did and he played it perfectly. I can’t wait to see the next Robocop after this one, it was just this good, and hoepfully next time around it’s against an army of robots. If you loved the old one then you will love this one.

Review: Thor The Dark World

ThorDarkWorld1

Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

ThorDarkWorld2

Thor is back swinging his Hammer between the seven worlds after the insanity in the Avengers. But there lurks an evil that they do not see and they will rain hell on Asgard. Loved the action that started from the beginning of the movie and the relationship between Thor & Jane picked up where it left off and it is a lot of fun. One hell of a movie and I love what Marvel keeps doing with their movies.

Review: The Hunger Games – Catching Fire

TheHungerGamesCatchingFire1

Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark become targets of the Capitol after their victory in the 74th Hunger Games sparks a rebellion in the Districts of Panem.

TheHungerGamesCatchingFire2

Jumping right into the story it picks up right where it left off with Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark as champions and the districts building hope because of what they did at the end. There was so much to the story to tell, over 2 hours and 30 minutes with a lot of twists and turns that brings Katniss & Peeta back into the fight with other champions as their foes, but with more on the line then they even know. It was a slow development in the beginning but it was building up, the characters all back in play with a few new interesting fighters. The fight in the dome felt a bit accelerated this time around, the bad guys in the dome didn’t feel that bad and died too quickly. I wanted so much more from it but the cliffhanger at the end of the movie honestly left me unsatisfied, I know sometimes there are movies that need sequels but this one felt like it was missing a piece. I’m not going to ruin it for anyone but you have to satisfy the person watching the movie even if you have a cliffhanger at the end.
