Up Coming Movie Trailers

ROBOCOP – The reboot is looking AMAZING, I have been a huge fan of Robocop watching it countless times when I was kid, he was the ultimate supercop. Now this reboot is coming and this trailer looks good, Alex Murphy is back as Robocop, and I’m liking the people in this movie and the twist on the story. The best thing is they didn’t change the OCP logo, got to love when they honor elements from the original 1987 movie.

I’ FRANKENSTEIN – From the creators of Underworld and the main character played by Eric Eckhart, I know I’m going to enjoy this movie and the trailer looks pretty damn good. Been a while since we have seen a good fantasy like this, I enjoyed the Underworld movies but the later ones were ridiculous, and I did love Van Helsing, this one looks to be better then them.

JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT – A reboot to the Tom Clancy character Jack Ryan, third time’s the charm played by Chris Pine, and this character was previously played by Alec Baldwin & Harrison Ford. Lets see how this plays out but I’m liking the espionage story, looks complex with lots of action, just what I like.

MACHETTE KILLS – Come on, this movie needs no introduction, if you loved the first one you will love this one. You can not mess with perfection

The Walking Dead – Season 4 Trailer – Insane

Things have really changed from what it was, and season 3 ended on a high note, and this glimpse it season 4 says a lot. You could tell some people died and some people are barely surviving. I love this show and can’t get enough of it, I can’t believe that its only two months away. I hope they have a two hour season premiere, that would be fantastic.

OlympusHasFallen

A few movies came out this week that are going to be worth watching this weekend. There are a lot of blockbusters on this list, if you haven’t seen Olympus Has Fallen then you really have to watch it. There are a few unique and interesting movies on this list, the two that caught my eye were Syrup, a movie based on a book from my favorite author, and Trance, which looks like an interesting movie like Memento. And a few comedies thrown into the mix like Admission & Identity Thief, easy and funny for a laugh.

Review: Snitch

Snitch1

A father goes undercover for the DEA in order to free his son who was imprisoned after being set up in drug deal.

Snitch2

What a man would do for his son, and Dwayne Johnson goes all the way in this movie. This is a more serious tone to what Dwayne Johnson usually plays and it seems he gets a little deeper then he expected. This movie has a nice storyline, a bit slow but the intensity builds up towards the end. A deep story with great action, and I liked the character Dwayne Johnson played, if you like him then you will like this movie.

Show Are Back On January

Its about a month since all the shows went into hibernation for the month of December but things have kicked off again. Its nice to see a few funny episodes inbetween all the serious shows I have been watching. Some shows I’m going to leave to pile up a bit before catching up with them, and the rest I will enjoy like Go On, Guys With Kids, Chicago Fire, Person Of interest, The Big Bang Theory, too many good shows out there. The odd one though in this mix is The Transporter, new show but it feels weird that Jason Statham isn’t in it, like he got replaced with a crappy double, but I will give this show a chance.

Starting 2013 With Some Movies

HitAndRun

Start of the year with a lot of good movies to watch this weekend, Dredd is at the top of list, an action movie I have been looking forward to watch, the remake is better then the original from what I heard. A few good action movies to enjoy like Looper, Alex Cross, Premium Rush, & Resident Evil Retribution. Where The Trail Ends is a cool adventure documentary following this extreme off-road bicycles across the globe, and Halo 4 Forward Dawn is based on the Halo franchise, any movie with Master Chief couldn’t be cooler.

Review: The Bournce Legacy

An expansion of the universe from Robert Ludlum’s novels, centered on a new hero whose stakes have been triggered by the events of the previous three films.

Edward Norton is one of my favorite actors and I thought having him onboard would be perfect to play opposite Bourne. Jeremy Renner played an interesting Bourne and I was looking forward to seeing how he would play it out since he was pretty good in the Avengers as Hawkeye. The movie is filled with action but I was expecting the story to have some sort of ridiculous plot that we would figure out later, to lead to some discovery. But half way through the movie I was getting distracted, it just didn’t keep my attention, and the ending was one long ridiculous action scene which was pretty pointless, and when the movie ended I thought “Really? Thats It? Nothing Else?” I was a bit disappointed and with this Bourne movie, I wanted it to be a lot better. The action was fun but it couldn’t cover for the lack of a coherent story, if I wanted senseless action I would have watched Expendables 2 again.
