The IRON MAN Suit!

IM3LSF1

Owning the Iron Man suit is something on every man’s mind, well its always on my mind. In this case you can have it, but it isn’t the indestructible armor that Tony Stark built for Billions. Sideshow Collectibles have built a 7 foot tall lift size stunning high-gloss automotive painted replica of the armor worn by Tony Stark in Iron Man 3. The Iron Man Mark 42, you definitely get to enjoy LED light-up eyes, arc reactor, palm repulser, and display base. The real thing must cost Billions to build but you can have this one for only $8’500.

Lego X-Wing

XWing1

Anything Star Wars is cool, but this is just over the top, Lego has come up with the Red Five X-Wing Starfighter. It is the most accurate piece from them yet, and it’s even better then the original Lego X-Wing Ultimate Collector Series which was released years ago.

XWing2

The X-Wing UCS was 1,304 pieces. The Red Five X-Wing Starfighter is 1,558 pieces measuring a whooping 20 inches (52cm) long, 18 inches (46cm) wide and 10 inches (26cm) high (the previous one was 13 x 8 inches). The price is not bad at all: only $200 USD. Considering that the original X-Wing UCS is getting a $1,300 price tag on eBay now, it’s peanuts!

XWing3

I know I want to get my hands on this piece and its probably going to sell out like all other cool Lego Star Wars pieces. It’s going to be available in May directly from Lego, I know I will keep my eye out for it on Amazon.

Ryu & Sagat

Street Fighter is still one of the coolest video games out there, the latest iteration on PS3 was amazing but I wasn’t good at it all, I need a lot of practice to get all the moves down and the counter moves. That said, I think Ryu is one of the coolest characters and Sagat is one bad ass fighter, he is big, and a damn good fighter. So I didn’t have to think about it when I saw this model, and the pictures don’t do it any justice at all.

Kotobukiya Colossus

Kotobukiya make some very cool models and highly crafted pieces of art for their Comic and Anime fan. In my case I have been a huge fan of Colossus from the X-Men for a very long time. I always thought that he was nearly invincible with his Adamantium Skin and size, I always felt that they didn’t give him a big enough role in the movies, not just the core X-Men team, they have others to choose from who can make X-Men an even darker story.

Well after seeing a few models from Colossus over the years, this was the perfect one, slightly more on the modern design of Colossus from the more recent X-Men and his body and head are proportionate. I love the expression on his face, makes him look even more Bad Ass. The perfect spot on my shelf I see him when ever I walk into my office. At this rate I’m going to need a museum for all these models.

Halo Pelican Lego

Halo is one my favorite games, it never gets old playing this game, I’m even excited they are releasing the original Halo with updated graphics soon for XBox 360 with multiplayer. Now it seems Benny Brickster is also a huge fan of Halo to the extent that he has custom built a Pelican right out of Halo by just studying the design. I am always amazed at the skill of some of these custom builds, I wouldn’t have a clue where to start or how to put one together, check out his flickr gallery for more pictures.

TRON Legacy Light Cycle

The first thing that they worked on when developing this movie is the Light Cycle, they made a point to modernize it and develop for this movie and I think its a beautiful piece of design and machinary. Its probably one of the cool things during the first part of the movie, and now its availble to sit on your shelf. Its 25 centimeters long and looks amazing, the riders looks like a piece of the bike, a very nice piece to have for $270.

Transformers Takara – Optimus Prime MP4

I have had this in a box for over two years hidden in my closet, I got the full set of Takara Transformers over the years, getting one model after the other. So to start it off I decided to open the Optimus Prime Convoy MP4, I have always wondered what it would feel like and how cool it would look.

I was completely wrong it looked so much better then I expected. Optimus Prime felt so realistic and heavy, he is made out of PVC plastic and metal. The build quality is better than one expects from a toy model and since I had a few others to unbox later I decided to transform him into vehicle mode which wasn’t too difficult, even though there were a few moments that brute force was required and I didn’t feel like being patient. After 20 minutes Optimus Prime was in vehicle mode and I was extremely ecstatic looking at the set on the shelf, I’m looking forward opening the other boxes soon.

Omega Supreme – Transformers

To me Omega Supreme represents the strong arm of the Autobots, the power house to push back even the mighty Devastator of the Decepticons. He is involved in several storylines, and I have found him in Transformers Comics on my iPad but haven’t read the whole thing. I have always thought that he is one of the coolest Autobots, up there with Optimus Prime, Rodimus Prime, and Ultramagnus. Now uuser from TFW5000 forum was so impresssed by Omega Supreme in the comics and Transformers: War on Cybertron Game that he took to make a detailed model unlike ever seen before. What I love about these guys is that they make the most interesting custom Transformers and some more life like then you expect, but this Omega Supreme is amazing, and can be purchased on Ebay for $3000.

Iron Man 2 – War Machine – Hot Toys

Since reading Iron Man back as a kid I always considered War Machine to be the bad-ass version of Iron Man, “Shoot First, Ask Questions Later” type of guy who would use that ridiculously powerful suit. Now Hot Toys has went ahead with a Iron Man 2 movie detailed model based on War Machine and Don Cheadle, it has all the weapons and arc reactor that lights up. I think this is an amazingly detailed model that shows all the features of War Machine, but I’m not a big fan of the moving types of toys, I prefer the stationary kind for display purposes, but nonetheless this is one cool model. It supposed to be released towards the of Q2 2010 or beginning of Q3 but no pricing announced yet.

And they have come up with some very interesting creations but this time I was amazed to see this Iron Man suit which is about 1.016 meters tall, and that is pretty big, I saw it and thought I wanted it but then I looked at the price of $2000, but that would be an amazing model to have and with SideShow items your guaranteed quality.
