Review: Abraham Lincoln – Vampire Hunter

Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, discovers vampires are planning to take over the United States. He makes it his mission to eliminate them.

Its just one of those movies that is so out there you think they can’t screw up the history of a man who is very famous. Introducing Vampires and Zombies to so many stories isn’t new but Abraham Lincoln was just a fresh twist on the story. It was interesting as it developed, why Abraham introduced the emancipation proclamation and even how he grew from a young man into the man that he is known for as well as being a vampire hunter. The movie doesn’t take the steps that you think it does and then he trains to be a vampire hunter and fights the south. The whole movie is a roller coaster and then ending was just ridiculous, but if you like vampire movies this is a fun one.

Review: Priest

a post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, is set in an alternate world — one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on a quest to find her before they turn her into one of them.

There is always something fun about fighting vampires and since the first trailers I was interested in seeing Priest. It takes place in a post apocalyptic world where the church’s command is law and the priests are the ultimate warriors but there is no war because there are no vampires, but that isn’t the case. You get to see the sad lives of the Priest until he has to take action and goes commando on the vampires. Fun and easy movie to watch and if you are fan of the action thriller movie then you will enjoy this.

True Blood Season 2

True Blood was a real hit for HBO last season, they made a realistic vampire society co-existing with humans and a few other surprises thrown into the mix. Season 2 is kicked off right away and they you jump right into it, no more need for introductions, things are going at a face pace. I thought season one was great, but season two turned out to be even better, they managed to make vampires and metrical creatures seem so realistic and possibly normal to live with. The story gets better and jucier, there is more to it then just what you know, vampires have a lot of politics to deal with as well as humans, they have an interesting way of breaking down their responsibilities. Season 1 was great and season 2 was fantastic, I don’t know how they can make it better, so many interesting characters so many ways this story can flow.
