Review: The Internship

TI1

Two salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital age find their way into a coveted internship at Google, where they must compete with a group of young, tech-savvy geniuses for a shot at employment.

TI2

The tech savy age of Google, we use it as a verb at this stage of our lives, it is an integral part of it and seeing the insides of Google is always fun, and from the perspective of Owen Wilson & Vince Vaughn I knew it would be hilarious. Vince Vaughn is still my favorite from Old School, that movie is comedy gold, and I was hoping for the same from this one but it wasn’t exactly the same. I find Owen Wilson slightly annoying trying to play the sensitive guy all the time. It was a fun movie and you get in a good amount of laughs with their antics but not comedy legend, something you would watch again, a good comedy if your looking for a laugh but not over the top hilarity that I was hoping for.

The Internship – Trailer

Vince Vaughn & Owen Wilson are back it again, the last time since the Wedding Crashers, and this one looks hilarious. Everyone is always curious about how things work in Google, and this time around these old guys are becoming interns, and the funniest part is they don’t get their humor but they will get the job done. One of the funny movies to watch for this summer.

Review: The Delima

Longtime friends Ronny (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Kevin James) are partners in an auto-design firm. They are hard at work on a presentation for a dream project that would really launch their company. Then Ronny spots Nick’s wife out with another man , and in the process of investigating the possible affair, he learns that Nick has a few secrets of his own. As the presentation nears, Ronny agonizes over what might happen if the truth gets out.

I’m always waiting for Vince Vaughn movies and this wasn’t a disappointment, as usual he carries himself easily with all his parts. This time acting opposite Kevin James I knew it was going to be funny and it turned out to be even funnier then I expected. What Vince goes through to try to figure out how to tell his best friend and business partner that his wife is cheating on him is a long hilarious roller coaster and I loved how it played out the whole thing. For a good laugh this movie was just right.

Review: Couples Retreat

Four couples head to the couples resort of Eden for friendly activities and couples therapy that they weren’t expecting. Now this is a comedy that I have been looking forward to, set in the Islands of Bora Bora in the Atlantic Ocean. Just from the previews with Vince Vaughn I knew it was going to be funny and it didn’t disappoint. Each one of these couples has issues to work through some more then the other, and Jon Favreau turned out to be the perfect combination to work with Vince Vaughn on this movie. A really good story to tie into a very entertaining comedy, there were a few specific scenes that I was dying of laughter.
