The Walking Dead – Season 4 Trailer – Insane

Things have really changed from what it was, and season 3 ended on a high note, and this glimpse it season 4 says a lot. You could tell some people died and some people are barely surviving. I love this show and can’t get enough of it, I can’t believe that its only two months away. I hope they have a two hour season premiere, that would be fantastic.

Review: World War Z

WWZ1

United Nations employee Gerry Lane traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to destroy humanity itself.

WWZ2

World War Z is based on the best selling novel by Max Brooks, I remember reading the book and it was one rollercoatser of a book, I couldn’t put it down. There were parts to the story that just pulled you in, page after page, and it was very different then your usual Zombie novel, it was a completely different take to a degree that I thought what was going on was real. I had very high expectations for the movie and there was a high budget for it with Brad Pitt in the mix. Right off the bat I liked the movie but it could have been so much better, honestly it didn’t follow anything of the novel except that Zombies over run the earth and seem somewhat unstoppable. I would have expected them to be able to get the meat of the story even the way the book presents itself is unique and this shows the talent of Max Brooks, too bad it didn’t get ported to the movie. But I enjoyed it and had a few shock moments and if you want to watch a good zombie movie this is it, but I was hoping for much more.

WWZ3

Closure. Limited – Zombie Wars – Max Brooks

Set in the same terrifying universe as his million-selling World War Z, Closure, Ltd is among the short stories found within this collection. In it, Max interviews the head of a company dedicated to finding emotional closure for survivors of the zombie war by assassinating their former zombie attackers. Written in his trademark style, these tales are a combination of horror, drama, and socio-political commentary.

After leading his last book World War Z I’m just waiting for his next book, and this short story book picks up where the other one left off. When I started reading it you jump right into it again, he is so obsessed with zombies and its just so good you honestly believe that zombies are real and his books are the only way to fight them and go on as the human race. A very fun and easy read, if you get into it you can finish it in a few days, took me two weeks and I was taking my time. I honestly wish there was more and he takes a very different route with this one, introducing vampires. This time around you get their perspective and how the vampires fared against zombies and how zombies would react to them as well. His talent is getting you to believe the stories that he is writing are real and is happening right now. If you read World War Z then you have to read this as well.

The Walking Dead – 2nd Season

The world we knew is gone. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months society has crumbled. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living.

The Second Season started just a bit slower then the first one but just as nerve racking. The show never disappoints honestly and towards the end it just keeps getting better and better as the episodes are released. This season was 13 episodes and as we got closer things got more insane, and now that I want to know whats going to happen next the season ends. And unlike a lot of other shows, they do kill off main characters here and they do change drastically so things start to take a different shape from episode to episode.

I don’t want to ruin this for anyone or mention anything that could spoil it for people. But this season is suspenseful and damn good, I can’t wait for the third season. I can’t blame so many people jumping on the Zombie band wagon, this show just did it right. If you haven’t seen Season 2 then you should, its really worth it.

Review: Highschool Of The Dead

Plot Summary: Takashi Komuro is a normal highschool boy, until an infection breaks out that turns people into zombie-like creatures. Along with his friends & the school nurse, they fight their way out and continue their journey to find out what exactly has happened to the world.

This really took a page out of World War Z, a couple of students stuck in school with a few zombies coming in only to find that it is a world epidemic. They all start off in different groups and you see the characters of people in this situation, where kids have to decide to kill to live or just die if they don’t try. The anime is fun and I do love seeing people with sorts and weapons, but this anime takes a turn for the funny and kinky, its serious and funny at the same time. It shows some people doing what they have to do to survive and some hold on to their humanity and some don’t, and then there is the kinky part and it shows up pretty early in the show but its just a fun quick series to watch 12 episodes, I was hoping that we would see what exactly would happen and how they would fight these zombies to an end but it seems they left that part to be continued.

Review: Zombieland

A gun trotting Woody Harrelson in a land filled with zombies, what more can you ask for in a movie. I knew from the moment I saw the cover of this movie that I had to see it, and its as gory as you expect it to be and Woody Harrelson plays the funniest cowboy redneck character with a gun killing zombies for fun. Then there are the other characters who make it just as funny, even with all that gore I was laughing my head off. Just the exact type of movie you would expect right from the name, you won’t be disappointed.
