Review: Cromartie High School

Plot Summary: Folks, meet Takashi Kamiyama. Enrolled at Cromartie High, where everybody is a delinquent, Kamiyama is apparently the only non-delinquent in the school. Logically, therefore, he must be the toughest in his class – by the rather twisted logic that only a really tough rabbit would lie down with lions. Thus begins a story that parodies every cliché of tough-guy anime that you’ve ever heard of, and some you haven’t. Oh, and Freddie Mercury is in it, too.

This is an odd anime since its story line revolves around other anime’s story line. Its about Takashi Kamiyama who is a good student enrolled in a delinquent school, and each of one those students has a story but Kamiyama just wants to study and they all start forming different groups in the school. Some of them get tied up with Kamiyama because they find him to be different. This whole anime revolves around cliche’s and copying parts of other animes and makes fun of them. The animation itself is very different and this just makes things funnier and funnier. Its a weird funny anime which is different then most, and either you like it or don’t. Each episode is only 12 minutes long and its supposed to be short and sweet. This anime isn’t for everyone but I found it hilarious and I really enjoyed it.

  1. iCromartie high isn’t a easy anime to recomend to anyone
very few would like it or understand it

did you see the live action movie ?

  2. If you love similar ten-minute short anime shows, i highly recommend an anime called Comedy by Studio 4C, but beware, it’s everything but comedy, and it’s very artistic and deep. See a watch an episode here:

I recommend Keroro Gunso, it’s hilarious, I’m sure you heard about it. But it’s not a short ten-minute anime, it has full episodes, and the main character is a gundam fan, he’s a frog who’s supposed to invade earth but ends up doing everything but that, including collecting gundam figures. The episodes of the anime seems to be endless, they have reached over 123 episodes.

  3. forzaq8: yeah I saw that action movie it was hilarious! I liked it a lot!

The[M]Code: I have heard of Keroro Gunso, but not Comedy. I will check them out for sure, there are alot of other animes to check out for sure! Just not enough time!!
