The London Eye

I have been wanting to go to the London Eye for a while now, I just haven’t gotten around to it. Except this time I thought I would have enough time, I had an appointment later in the day so I thought I had time. What I didn’t know was that there was so much construction going on in London we were rerouted about 6 times before getting to the location, a 15 minute drive turned into a 50 minute drive.

I got to the location at 2:00 pm instead of 1:00 pm, and I had an appointment at 3:00 pm. I wanted to get on but the line was long as hell so I had a chance just to take pictures around the thing, I wanted to take pictures from the top. There are a total of 60 capsules for people to enter and it takes about 30 minutes for the whole thing to revolve. I didn’t have a chance this trip to get on it, but next time I will. Then there was Big Ben, I have been to London so many times yet I haven’t been to Big Ben.

  1. What a nice collection of pictures you have taken Marzouq. I hope you get to ride the London Eye very soon; I bet the scenery from up there is just a killer. But I heard you have to book a seat first…or maybe that’s for special occasions?

BTW, those signs that read “Movieum”…are they indicating a museum of movies by any chance? Because that would be just plain cool.

  2. I also have been to London so many times and never got to try it out YET! hehehe maybe this summer

and I agree… those are AWESOME pics

You should book online for your London Eye ride and to avoid spending hours in traffic use the tube.

    It is a wonderful experience.

  4. you got some pretty amazing pictures there thats for sure

  5. ???

The perfect time to visit the London Eye is at 10 a.m. there’s no queue whatsoever. You could easily get in and out of there in less than an hour.

But the places that you really shouldn’t miss are the British museum and the Tower of London. They’re absolutely fantastic and you could spend an entire day in each of these places and not get bored one bit.

I love going to London throughout the year but I just hate it in the summer.

  6. Angelo: thanks! Yes you have to book a seat there is a normal and VIP seat(skip the line). I think I would go there during sunset next time! I have no idea about the museum!

    Ansam: Thanks :)

Jewaira: I did, but was too lazy to book and didn’t mind walking aroung there to get the shots I wanted!

esda3wa: That is what I am thinking!

    Laialy: Thanks :)

???: People keep telling me the best view is at sunset so you see the normal lighting and then you see it when people turn their lights on! I will make sure to check those places out! Thank you! I tend to prefer London durin winter, Jan – April and October to December! :)
