THE Computer

Abusive use of my machines over the past year and a half I have reached some limitations with them. The one machine which is handling all the tasks is the ArmorJr, and its doing it quite well but I use it for every day use as well as day to day use, but it does have some limitation with its interaction with the other machine due to speed. I’m planning to build a machine meant for applications and can handle multiple processes and the prices of a lot of parts have dropped dramatically. My main bottle neck currently of the machines is its network capabilities as well as handling multiple processes, but there is only so much you can expect from a mid-level equipment. I have even taken a few parts from the Maximum PC’s recent Dream Machine 08.

  1. The motherboard looks like a mini 3D structure of Kuwait City ;-)

  2. You have chosen well for the password. I like your choice for the hard drives best. I am testing velociraptors in my office lab and they seem to have amazingly good performance. The last time we tried it, I ran an infinite loop sql query for over 4 hours and they held well. The only thing, I would suggest changing is pick up a Corsair power supply over a Thermaltake. The voltage fluctuation and thermal efficiency (in BTU) is lesser for a Corsair Power Supply.

  3. Damn it… I was resetting a database password and typed in wrong…. I meant you have chosen well for the system configuration.

  4. I look forward to seeing this one come to life really soon.

Do you order the parts online or get them through Hawalli by order?

  5. Bo

Why not wait for i7 and x58 its just around the corner

  6. Great specs, but not as great when compared to the high-end Mac Pro.
