24: Live Another Day

24 is coming back, not the full series, but a short action packed series compressed into 12 episodes. People who have seen or were obsessed with 24 knew how it was as a show, hour to hour with tensions high. They are bring back Jon Cassar who is the original executive producer/director from the beginning of 24.

They always had this idea of someday doing a feature film, they talked about it so many times over the years. I think they all agreed that ’24’ compressed into two hours is not ’24.’ … What they’ll be able to do is go in chronological order of the day, but skip hours. Jack Bauer coming back to our screens and even he is excited for this show, I don’t know what to expect but I know its going to be good, and its slated for release on May 2014.

Star Kiefer Sutherland also expressed his enthusiasm for the new season in a statement from Fox back in May. “The response to ‘24’ is unlike anything I have ever experienced as an actor before. To have the chance to reunite with the character, Jack Bauer, is like finding a lost friend. The story ideas from Howard Gordon are exciting and fresh, and will not disappoint … Make no mistake, my goal is to knock your socks off. See you soon.”

24: Complete Series – A Must Have

There is no question as to the importance of having this boxset on your mantel and watching the whole show. I have watched every season except season 8 and I’m planning a marathon soon to watch it, I honestly don’t want to think the show has ended, I think thats one of the reasons why I haven’t watched season 8. Everyone said its one of the best seasons yet, and I’m still crossing my fingers for the movie. If you have or haven’t you must get the Box Set and watch it, and if it comes out on Blu-Ray you should get it then too!

Bruce Lee’s ‘Green Hornet’ Screen Test

This screen cast brings back memories, there is no man on earth that isn’t a fan of Bruce Lee, every Martial Artist after him could never surpass what he did. He brought martial arts to a new level, that exceeding normal expectations, and his speed is amazing in the video. Jackie Chan is a different kind of martial artist, a lot of people compare Jet Li to Bruce Lee because of his speed, but even in this Screen Test Bruce Lee is extremely cast. What surprised me honestly is his grasp of the english language and your talking about 50 years ago which is a different time. What’s also funny is the man refers to them as “Orientals” which could be considered political incorrect in these times, and that old man kept moving after Bruce Lee made his move. For such a short life he has had an impact on the cinema and martial arts world that nobody could compare to.

Shows to Download

For a while now I have been a bit busy not being able to keep up with all the shows but as of a day ago I decided to go through the list that has been piling up. I really don’t like not having a complete show to enjoy or having part of it if I like the show. Some are completing and some shows are new additions like Community and Justified. Just the right shows for the summer but 24 I’m going to watch one shot in 24 hours with no disturbances in 10 days.

The List:

  • 24 – Season 8 – Planning on watching one shot over the next weekend, I couldn’t watch it week to week the first few episodes were insane and this is said to be the best season yet
  • Supernatural – Season 5 – Starting it back up again since the season finished heard its a great season
  • Community – Season 1 – A new comedy that people keep telling me about, a guy going back to community college and some insane people to deal with
  • Justified – Season 1 – A new cowboy detective show who’s actions speak a lot louder then any words, looks pretty good
  • Strike Back – 6 Part BBC Army/Special Forces Drama/Action looks pretty good

Jack’c Time Is Up

This very sad moment has been officially announced, season 8 is the last season of 24, no longer will we have the moments of Jack Bauer sacrificing himself to save everyone else, doing what others can not do. At least they are ending 24 on a high note, and I honestly wouldn’t want it picked up by another studio unless its the same people and crew working on it.

I watched the first few episodes of 24 at the season premiere and it was so good that I decided to wait and watch the rest of them one shot. Waiting week to week for this amazing show kills because I can’t wait to know what is going to happen next or what Jack is going to do.

This will bring 24 the feature film on track based on their previous comments, now lets see how long that’s going to take, its rumored to be taking place in Europe.

24 Might Ending At 8

After 8 long excruciating and stressful days for Jack Bauer this may be the last for him. Hearing this news shocked me because this is one of the best seasons of 24 yet. Studio executives at Fox are in discussions and some decision will be out in the next few days. It will end on top with this season as being a great season. Fox might shop it around to other networks if it is stopped. The main part for them is that ratings have dropped and the cost to make the show has gone up.

I honestly don’t know if 24 would have done as well as it as if it came out Pre-9/11. It touched on a lot of sensitive subjects, vulnerabilities, paranoia, and things such torture, espionage, terrorism, and beauruacracy. It has had high and a few iffy seasons but still a fantastic show and I’m still crossing my fingers for another season.

They are still moving forward with with the movie, the script being written up by Billy Ray (State of Play, Flightplan) and Jack is taken to Europe. Fox is excited about the movie and the possibility.

Now let us see the outcome

24 – Movie

It seems that 24 is hitting the big screen, from all the high tv ratings it seems that it might do well as a movie. They hired Billy Ray as the screenwriter of this movie, he usually does those very complex stories not the gritty Jack Buaer rips someone’s head off type of story. I’m hoping that the movie comes together as good as the tv shows does, I’m assuming it will be a long movie to get the story across. I’m still not sure how 24 hours will be equated in the movie and it will have high expectations from the fans.

24 – Season 8 – The Kick Off

Watching 24 one shot is the only way its done, I had 4 full episodes to watch but I had to find the right time to watch it all in one stretch. Late night was the only time I have a free at the cost of sleep, and it was well worth it. Jack is back at full throttle following leads, someone is trying to kill the president of the Islamic Nation but there i more to it then this plot and weapons grade material is at stake. For the first time CTU has been moved to NYC with a whole new set of parameters and setup to the original, I like the move and the possibility of this storyline. There are some interesting new characters, I’m still not too much of a fan of Freddie Prince Jr. but since he is leaning towards Jack I’m liking the guy and I’m happy Chloe is back, she is the perfect partner for Jack but a few of the other characters are annoying me and as usual you can’t have 24 without having extreme emotions towards a few of the characters. I’m not sure if I can wait week in and week out for each episode, I might go nuts.

24 Season 8 – New Promo Trailer

The new promo for 24 season 8 is nothing short of ridiculous, I can’t wait for this show. I’m going nuts waiting for Jack Bauer, the next for hours are going to be insane. They have taken this show to another level, Jack will be operating out of the New York CTU office. The story arc will involve Jack Bauer contending with assassination threats made during a peace conference between President of the United Statres Allison Taylor and President Omar Hassan of the fictional Islamic Republic of Kamistan. January 17th is around the corner, going to be four hours of pure insanity. The music fits perfectly with 24, it makes it even better then the original song.

24 -Season 8

I’m getting worked up for 24, things seems to be getting interesting. The new backdrop is the United Nations which is different then previous shots which were mostly American Government backdrops. Now a few of the cast half fallen off the grid, but there are a few new cast members, seems its going to be interesting. I posted about the 24 Season 8 Trailer previously but this also adds to the mix, what exactly is going to unfold, does this picture mean anything, the flags, or is just a picture. With 24 you never know what they might have up their sleeves, I just want it to start already.

24, Season 8 Cast — (L-R): John Boyd, Katee Sackhoff, Mykelti Williamson, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Freddie Prinze, Jr., Annie Wersching, Kiefer Sutherland, Anil Kapoor, Cherry Jones and Chris Diamantopoulos.
