Making Driving Fun Again.
That is the main description after driving this car. Toyota wanted a sports car that is affordable and fun, a long time ago there were a lot of affordable sports cars, but once the performance race came into play they just kept getting more and more expensive. The idea behind this machine is to keep it simple and fun, putting in the bare minimum into the car to make a driver happy. I got my hands on the car a while back and had my fun with it, it has to be a manual to be enjoyed.
The machine is underpowered, there is no question about that, don’t expect it to push you back into your seat like a jetplane, but it does give you the rush of driving a fast car, especially because of two simple factors. The car is spunky, if you are driving the manual version you figure out it’s sweet spots, and this car should only be sold in manual because that is the true way to enjoy it. Secondly the car handles like a go kart, stuck to the ground, you can throw the car around, its light and it feels like your driving a toy car, but it holds on the corners and I love that about the suspension.
Toyota built this car in mind with people who want to modify it. It has to be modified, there is no question about that, everyone who has ever wanted a Toyota Supra wanted to modify it, and the GT-86 was based on the rich history of the AE86 that is a legend in the Japanese Automotive circles. This machine will bring back the days when Fast & Furious first came out, there will be no one GT-86 the same as the other, and the parts to modify the car is relatively cheap compared to other sports cars.
This machine needs a power upgrade to be a bit more fun, but when you upgrade the power you also need to upgrade the suspension and brakes to match. The best part of the GT86 is that is honestly very easy to drive and handle, at 200 bhp that is the case, but when you add the much need 100 bhp to get it to 300 bhp this car will handle very differently. So other modifications need to be done to get it back to the ease of driving and amazing stock handling that you get used to.
The interior of the car is simple, and that is the best thing about it, I honestly love the start button on the car, its like you are ready to race, and the AC is great but the sound system is basically crap and you need to modify that. This specific one has a modified head unit but other parts need to be modified such as the speakers and the bass to get it to the quality that you want.
You can literally modify this car any which way you want, but one thing is a fact, this is the perfect car from Toyota and nobody makes one like it. This car was abused during GulfRun, and I abused it for the three weeks that I had it when I took it from K, thanks K.
Finding the right automotive performance parts supplier is always a difficult process. In my case I’m always doing something with my M6, and a good supplier is always a difficult task to go through since you don’t trust them and slowly keep increasing orders.
About 10% of online automotive parts retails are crap, you get a bad apple once in a while and I have dealt with a few. During GulfRun we got informed that FVD Brombacher is opening up in Kuwait and I was excited because this is a German parts supplier and its always good to have more in Kuwait, FAST is also a good supplier from Audi in Kuwait, and Kromozone from Chevy as well.
But in my case I have a German car and recently ordered several parts from FVD Kuwait. Complete new brake system from Brembo through FVD Kuwait, he sorted out the details and including shipping came out cheaper then the online parts seller in the US, which shocked me. Also picked up DOT 6 Brake Fluid through them because of how much I abuse my car I want to make sure my brakes last. I was looking into some other performance parts but he convinced me not to get it, it takes a great supplier to tell you not to get something which will affect him negatively but he won a customer for life.
They provide the parts but don’t install it, in my case I take it to the dealership for installation at BMW, they have a few good guys. A few dealerships do installs like Audi, Chevy, BMW, and Porsche they each have their specialty.
If you are looking for any parts for any European or Japanese car, these are the guys to talk to.

Meet a man who designed his house around his car, this is probably every man’s dream to have his favorite machine drive into his living room.
Lamborghini is celebrating its 50th anniversary in style, and that includes a gathering of 350 ‘raging bull’ branded cars, which would take the tour starting from Milan up until Bologna, the end-point being the headquarters of Lamborghini! You know what, not all Lamborghinis were welcomed to join its 50th Anniversary Grand Tour. The brand had allowed only the modern and vintage model entry, that too with a valid license plate.
Thanks to the filtering, the fleet of supercars from the brand has been an interesting mix: 350 GTs, 400 GTs, Miuras, Espadas, Jaramas, Urracos, Countaches, LM 002, Diablos and Murcielagos. The five-day long tour from May 7 to May 11 would pass through breathtaking landscapes of Lombardia, Toscana, Lazio, Umbria and Emilia Romagna, stopping over in Forte Dei Marmi, Grosseto, Roma, San Giustino Valdarno and Bologna, where they will arrive on May 10.
So many beautiful machines in this event, out of the 350 beautiful Italian machines participating there are a few that are participating from Kuwait. How much better could it get to have a high speed escort across Italy being led by a Lamborghini Police Car. I spot four cars from Kuwait in the video, three together in the middle of the video and one orange one towards the 3/4’s of the video. So many beautiful colors, and some of the machines are a bit over the top but still fun, loved the sound of the exhausts in the video.

I tried this car the first time around for three days in February, this time around I had a chance to drive the car for exactly 17 days and it is a beast, and I can’t blame anyone for loving this machine. Infinite have an amazing machine on their hands, excellent navigation, simple controls, very comfortable and spacious interior.
Things That I love:
Honestly I was very surprised how much I liked the QX56, it surpassed my expectations. I am extremely loyal to Toyota because the car just lasts after taking so much torture from my use, but this machine is a beast and I am seriously impressed. I am keeping it in mind in the coming future for an SUV choice. And I wouldn’t buy the Lexus over the Infinite, doesn’t make any sense, its a better car, more options, more powerful, and for a lesser price.
This is the type of car that people either love or hate, and in my case I was slightly confused. I was in Dubai/Abu Dhabi for a few days and I asked for a Audi Q7 but to complications they gave me an X6 instead which is an upgrade with 300bhp V6. I wasn’t sure about it but I always wanted to try it, and it was an interesting machine to drive. For being the lowest model the car still moved, it had all the options on the interior and black as night windows. I haven’t driven an X5 in probably 8 years at least so this was a new machine to me, and I was always curious about the X6 M, people always had an opinion about the X6, they either loved it or hated it, it was always a passionate reaction.
The car was comfortable and the standard BMW amenities which did the job and on a long drive it was pretty comfortable honestly. The Navigation was really good and this time around you can go directly to each menu from buttons around the circular joystick, you don’t have to navigate all the menus to get to where you want. I think BMW have gotten better at that then before. I still find Audi a bit easier to use, but still the BMW system is really good. The car felt a bit weird, like you were driving a sports car but a bit higher and every time I bumped my head into the door frame when getting in, its an SUV with a compact form, just didn’t feel right. It was an interesting drive, but I would never buy this car.
Finally Drifting is becoming an event in Kuwait, thanks to the guys of the Kuwait Quarter Mile Club & Drift 965. There event is held just off the 7th ring road, and it isn’t too far honestly in a flat location which is perfect for tire burning drifting.
The first event I went to was about two weeks ago, and I took my Caddy to test out my drifting skills, which in this case was a definite zero. I tried my luck and probably did a 4/10 but the tire burning the I did was about 10/10. I have always admired drifting as a sport because it is a fine line between control and chaos and some of these guys knew how to walk that fine line. Every week the event keeps improving, they organize better and there are more facilities, and more people show up. Honestly you can tell that these guys love what they are doing and putting a huge effort to make it happen.
There are some pretty good drivers out there and I think these guys are trying to give people a chance at drifting, and slowly keep on improving it. There are a few professionals there, and some guys compete regionally, but I think there are a lot more ameatures learning (like myself) which is pretty good, giving people an oppurtunity to learn and have a lot of fun. I managed to get a few good drifts in but my skills arent at the level that it is in my head (Insert Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift Music). But still it was a lot of fun and you have any interest in drifting or motorsports you should check them out on Saturday from 1-5, it might change to night drift within the coming month, and that will be interesting to see.

I think this is one very sexy machine from Ferrari and it looks good on the track, one of their latest supercars or hypercar as the new term goes. But what kind of name is LeFerrari? Honestly sounds like something off a menu at an Italian restaurant. Enzo sounded strange and interesting, couldn’t they find something to match how impressive this machine is at 949 bhp and 0-62 mph in under 3 seconds and a top speed more then 217 mph. One very futuristic looking machine I would love to get my hands on it or see how it feels to sit on the cockpit. Please change the name.
For being R/C cars these guys did a really good job with the sound effects and other machines like the helicopters, very cool, wish I could do something like that.
There has never been a Mercedes that I have wanted as much as this one! A tank with a leather interior, fully loaded machine, I seriously can’t believe that Mercedes is offering this vehicle, it will easily be upwards of 100’000 KWD but what they are doing with it in this ad makes me smile like a kid in a toy store.
Seriously this add reminds me of the transformers movie, feels like this machine will be the next Autobot standing next to Optimus Prime and kicking major ass just because it is such a bad ass. Damn what a beautiful machine!
