Companies are suing each other left right and center, all I know is that I don’t want my product not to be available because of these crazy patent wars, everyone is suing everyone, but this is an excellent visual map of the Patent Cold War by Reuters. Apple is shooting in every direction possible, lets see how this all works out.

Episode 1: Jax, Sonya, & Kano Part 1
Brand new live action MK series featuring Michael Jai White, Darren Shahlavi, Jeri Ryan and Tamoh Penniket!
Mortal Kombat is one of those games which we will never forget, I just remember the screen shouting “FINSIH HIM” and I loved the Mortal Kombat movies no matter how tacky they were. Then there was the recent game released in April which was pretty good but I only played it for a few hours and didn’t go through all the different characters and levels as I usually do. Kevin Tancharoen received the go-ahead from Waraner to shoot the web series of Mortal Kombat which he named Mortal Kombat Legacy.
Episode 2: Jax, Sonya, & Kano Part 2
Mortal Kombat: Legacy takes place before the events of the first tournament and tells the background stories of several characters from the franchise, culminating in their reasons for participating in the upcoming tenth Mortal Kombat tournament, on which the first game was based. Its 9 episodes of a very cool breakdown of the characers and each episode is dedicated to each character don’t follow each other in a story line. Now the 9 episosdes will be released in Blu-Ray but for now you can see them all here and I for one enjoy them very much.
Episode 3: Johnny Cage

It no news that I am a huge fan of Moleskine products and almost every notebook they have come up with, I haven’t had enough material or things to write and draw in all the books I have from them but still I can’t help picking one up whenever I see it. At last Moleskine has decided to open an online store, after such a long time to find each and every Moleskine is now so easily available on their website and I didn’t realize there were so many different kinds of Moleskines, I was very much tempted to make a purchase while surfing the site but I will myself from clicking the purchase button.

We have all reached a point with our Blackberries when we wanted to throw them at the wall. I got the Blackberry Torch when it first came out and I gave up fixing the issues that it had, my email never worked on it. I didn’t think of purchasing another Blackberry really until there was a lighter one and with solid operating system. Recently my Torch has been restarting on its own and with the announcement of the new 9900 I was looking forward to trying it.
Initially I’m not too fond of the Bolds but I needed a thinner Blackberry and wanted to move on from the Torch. I was hoping that the new operating system would be vastly better then before, and I liked that it booted so quickly. I got to playing with it right away and started moving things around, and I liked the OS and the feel of the phone. Its a solid phone but not too heavy, very good for a 5.0 MP camera since other phones have surpassed that now. I especially love the rubber on the outer edge on the rear of the phone and the carbon fiber back, gives a very clean and light look to the phone. It has more of a brushed aluminum frame then it does a chrome frame, thankfully I hate chrome so it isn’t too bad once you see it. Overall its a very nice phone built by RIM with a nice and smooth operating system, I’m going to put it through it’s paces once I’m done transferring one phone to the other. Got the phone for 243 KD unlocked from outside of Kuwait and that includes delivery, if you are looking for a new BB and you want it light then this the phone for you.

The first of the ISPs to come to their senses from this debacle, after a little digging both from the commercial and technical side Fasttelco are not applying any Data Caps, none what so ever, not even throttling torrents at this point. At first I wasn’t sure but from two different sources I thought it might be true, then I thought to test it out to verify the information. It seems something official might come out soon but at this point this is what I have managed to dig up and I hope they continue on this route.
I have started a 200 GB download plus one steam update and several other machine updates to test my Fasttelco 4MB Connection. I’m at 42 GB since I heard the news and it still fluctuating between 380 KBs to 490 KBs which is pretty good and I hope it holds at that. So it seems to be true at this point, I’m running Torrents, FTP, Software Patches and normal surfing, and everything seems to be working.
I was initially singled out by Kems for being an abuser even though I have been a loyal customer even at their very expensive days, and when they increased their prices. But it seems they seem to be stuck on Caps and continuing to apply it.
QualityNet has removed the meter from their login screen so you can’t tell if you hit your daily cap or not but they won’t clearly answer if it has been removed. I managed to hit the caps every once in a while whenever I go on my downloading binge.
As I said before the MoC is just as much as fault as the ISPs, and the announcement made months ago by the MoC and the Member’s of Parliament is just BS as usual and I didn’t expect much from it. It sort of “I will believe it when I see it” type of situation. Even when you tell ISPs that the MoC said they were supposed to stop all sorts of Caps from 1st of August as promised from the front pages of Al Watan Newspaper, Al Aqabas Newspaper, and Al Rai Newspaper, they just tell you that it was just an article in a newspaper and no law has been enacted and the ISPs were not contacted. The MoC promised to lower prices to ISPs so that in return they would lower their prices but that hasn’t happened yet either.
More will be forthcoming in another post.

The most important part for online gamers is to lower the ping of your connection, this the case with XBox Live, PSN, World Of Warcraft, Starcraft II, and any online game. Fasttelco partnered with a company in Europe that runs game servers and now have a dedicated link from Kuwait to thier game server farms, the service will also reduce the ping time for games played on US game servers. Surprisingly the biggest gaming server farm is located in Northern Europe and they host all of the Blizzard servers, I hope that they have connected to that company to provide this service.

I usually like listening to music online and recently gotten into spotify, the one annoying thing that I found about Spotify is the advertisements in between songs. Right now I’m just enjoying and experimenting with Spotify to see how I would use it, and I’m liking the service but its a bit strange to me.

Windows:
Mac:
The other main option that you do have is to pay $5 per month for the “Unlimited” Upgrade which is unlimited music and no advertisements or the “Premium” Upgrade which is the same as “Unlimited” except you can access Spotify from your Android or iPhone, but until you feel like upgrading these are your best options to listen to your music without interruption.

Everyone was very excited when Apple started mentioned their cloud service but I’m still not sure how they plan to use it. I for one hope that I can sync all the different machines and iTunes across the iTunes Cloud but I don’t know how that is going to work at this point. With the launch of iCloud all Apple users get a free 5GB not including what they pay for, and streaming pictures aren’t counted against your quota.
iCloud Pricing:

I for one listen to a lot of music and I enjoy streaming music because I get to listen to new music, but now there are so many different types of companies to choose from. Mashable went ahead and put together this inforgraphic which compares all the companies and provides you with the best breakdown to fit your needs, and cloud streaming isn’t even part of this mix. I enjoy streaming some of these services, but still prefer to keep my music locally for now.

I have always wondered what are the speeds of the fiber optic cables reaching Kuwait and the land based cables reaching Kuwait. Whenever we face an issue with slow internet they blame cut cables, even when it isn’t the case, they just find it convenient to say that. I just came across this website which documents a very large majority of all the fiber optic sea cables in the world, their speeds, when they were connected, and a lot of other information. You can tell what is landing in Kuwait and the speeds. This is supposed to be the sea based map, I hope that it incorporates the land based fiber information at a later point, at this point in time we have a higher dependability on land based fibers coming from Saudi Arabia then we do sea based fibers, and Kuwait is in need of a lot of bandwidth.
