Over the last year I have piled up a few boxes of Lego which have been sitting on the floor for about 8 months now. I get annoyed seeing the boxes on the floor but then I realize the time commitment required for me to finish them, and I hate to leaving something unfinished. Still I’m getting more and more anxious to work on these two Lego models first, I do have other one’s as well but these two are the one’s I have to see completed first. I have the space to place them right now, or at least one of them but after that I don’t think I have anymore space to place the other ones. Need to think of a solution, I seriously can’t get enough of Lego.
Those this redfines cool, doesn’t everyone want a robot of their own, well Lesko decided that he wanted one and put 6-9 months of hard work putting together is Gundam MK-II. It seriously is an exact replica of the model, and this guy knows how to design his paper. That is one amazing Gundam, wouldn’t mind having it follow me around while I’m outside or flying next to me while I’m riding my bike.

There is no question that I am huge fan of Bleach and especially Kurosaki Ichigo, the main character from the show. I have always been looking for the perfect display piece for Ichigo only to find that Square Enix made this amazing sculpture which surpassed the usual plastic models they make, and their models are usually impressive but this one is over the top with the details.
I really haven’t been following Bleach as much I should be, so I have no clue why Ichigo has a phoenix. But in any case, it’s totally badass so I approve. The face is very detailed, even though it has no real distinct facial details, it really gives off the impression of being made of fire. If you are a fan of the show then this is a must have for your collection even though its pricey at $500 but the quality the piece is clear.
The extent some of these Professional Lego Builders go to is amazing. This is probably one of the coolest custom LEGO builds I have seen to date. The Battlestar Galactica Spaceship is amazing and totally made out of LEGO. It weighs close to 25 Kilograms and about 2 meters long which is huge, this ship from the show is actually called Battlestar Berzerk. The interior of this ship had to be reinforced with another materials because the LEGO pieces started to bend and shear from the weight of this beast.
The ship is so large and heavy that it requires internal supports made from wood and steel – and that 54-pound weight doesn’t include the support structure. The support was required after parts started to bend and shear off the craft.

There is something that I like about the Decepticons, and I always wondered why they were jet planes, and only a few Autobots were jet planes, I couldn’t think of only two Autobots, the rest were all Decepticons. These are three Decepticon models that I have put together, one is Starscream and I left him in vehicle mode, and the other two Skywarp & Thundercracker I turned into robot mode and once I got the first one down the second one was much easier.
Placement was not much of an issue I had a corner all carved out for the Autobots and Transformers, they are all in the same place but the Decepticons look small compared to Optimus Prime, or to be exact all the versions of Optimus Prime that I could get my hands on. They are all proudly displayed in the corner in my office and I’m just waiting for the day for them to come alive. These models are the original Takara models that I got from a few years ago, I still haven’t gotten the Megatron Model because I don’t like the quality of it but I know I will cave in eventually and find him on ebay.
I have probably seen Predator and Predator 2 a combined amount of 100 times over the past two decades. There is something very cool knowing that there could be an alien culture that is based on a warrior culture and I love their weapons and when they go to battle. Recently I had a chance to get myself the new Predator Berserker Mask from AlterEgoComics and after a month of figuring out where to place it, I mounted it right above my door so I can see it when I’m sitting at my desk.
The quality of the mask is amazing, it really looks like the real mask from the movie, and for those who don’t remember the Berserker is the big Predator is Predators, the one that pretty much rips people apart. There are other Predator Masks out at this time and I’m contemplating getting another one but not sure if I should get the Falconer, Tracker, or Stalker, all of them look intimidating. The coolest part is when the lights are off in the room and the red LEDs are on, looks like its really aiming for something. Now I want to watch all the Predator movies again, and AVP doesn’t count even though it was a cool concept to begin with but the execution of the AVP movies is a disaster.
Macross is one of those Animes that I followed in the 80s when I was a kid, everyone loved Robotech from back in the day. Luckily they came up with a few more storylines over the last decade with some very impressive animes. I remember thinking it would be very cool if the Air Force had jet planes that could turn into robots but for now we have the animes to enjoy and the robots to see.
I recently got my hands on the VF 256 Armored Messiah Ozma Custom from BanDai and it looks damn good and big. Its one of those types that are semi done and you have to transform him into robot mode and add the big weaponry and pieces to him. I thought it wouldn’t take more then an hour to put it all together but I was very wrong it took me over four hours and a few pieces kept falling off which drove me nuts but at the end I have a very lovely piece to add to my collection.
From the classic giant robot anime ‘The Big O’ comes a MAX Alloy of the strongest megadeus – the Big O itself! It’s the biggest model to join the MAX Alloy series ever, measuring an incredible 300mm in height and weighing an unbelievable 1050g!
Soul of Chogokin make some very high quality models and when I saw that they made the Big-O model I really had to have it. Its an exact duplicate of the giant robot from the anime series, Big-O robot with the giant arms attached to the body, they look more like battering rams then arms. I remember watching this anime in my apartment in the states, I would watch it every night on Cartoon Network on Adult Swim. Overall the model is made from a combination of metal and plastic and the details on it are fantastic, and it has an impressive stance to it, very solid.
I made this model purchase before the movie even came out, I was so excited to see the Green Lantern since GL is one of my favorite characters from DC Comics for a long time, by far one of the best. I just couldn’t wait for movie so I preordered the Hal Jordan statue using his ring, and the Green Lantern Lantern itself which came with the Green Lantern ring.
I was surprised how cool the Hal Jordan statue was, very detailed look and the green punch forming around him, I loved it. Then Lantern was amazing, it looked exactly like the one from the movi and the added bonus was that the ring fit perfectly, and if you bring the ring close to the Lantern it surprised me, the Lantern lights up which is insanely cool. This is displayed proudly with the rest of my comic and movie memorabilia. Can’t wait for the GL2 to come out, they said its supposed to be darker and edgier which is exactly what it needs to be and they have so much story to use from the Green Lantern comic books, I just can’t wait.
Halo is one my favorite games, it never gets old playing this game, I’m even excited they are releasing the original Halo with updated graphics soon for XBox 360 with multiplayer. Now it seems Benny Brickster is also a huge fan of Halo to the extent that he has custom built a Pelican right out of Halo by just studying the design. I am always amazed at the skill of some of these custom builds, I wouldn’t have a clue where to start or how to put one together, check out his flickr gallery for more pictures.
