I had high hopes for this anime, because it was one the best story lines that I saw in my early days of anime in the early 90s. Fist of the North Star was around when anime was picking up in popularity. It was bloody, raw, and hardcore. It was a legend. So I had high expectations for this three DVD series. It was a 50 minute episode per DVD. The animation was great, they did a combination of drawing and cgi to depect the wasteland and the enviroment. I have to say that this didnt satisfy my expectation for this anime, it had a lot to live up to. I expected a better story line, even though it was just as bloody, and just as much chaos. But I was expecting something on a higher level then what I saw. If your a huge fan of the Fist of the North Star, then watch this anime, but other then that I would pass on it. It wasnt a bad anime at all, but it just didnt do the original Justice!

Plot Summary: In the desert wasteland of a devastated Yokohama, lawless superhumans known as Alter Users terrorize the land. The remaining champions of morality and order have formed a special task force called HOLY, mandated to bring these mutants to justice. However, HOLY may be as terrifying as the mutants it vows to destroy. Kazuma, a lone and powerful Alter User stands up to HOLY as an advocate for the defenseless in a land polarized by power.
This is an anime which starts off with the usual story of people who are different with super powers. This starts with Kazuma who lives in the lawless desert, which is littered with Alter Users. He is one of the few Alter users who does good for people, and these Alter Users sprung up after the devastation to the area, they seem to be an after affect of the damage dont the area. Kazume is taking care of a little girl, and his friends when the HOLY group starts putting down all the Alter users that they come in contact with. HOLY is made up of a bunch of Alter users who are employed by humans from the other land which is considered the “better” world. Kazuma is ill-tempered and acts with his heart and brute strength alone, no matter how many times he gets beat down he gets back up to take some more, and fight more. This is an entertaining anime in the beginning but the storyline wasnt as good as I thought it was going to be. It was entertaining, but not enough depth to the story to stretch it for the length it was stretched. The ending was just stretched out instead having a fast strong ending. I liked it, but not something I would really recommend that much, there is better out there.

Plot Summary: Renton Thurston is a 14-year-old boy who lived with his mechanic grandfather in a backwater town. When a young girl named Eureka riding the original LFO, the “Nirvash typeZERO”, asks his grandfather for a tune-up, she inadvertently brings the attention of the military to the garage; as a result, the garage is destroyed and Renton is forced to deliver a new type of interface– the “Amita Drive”– to the Nirvash. Plot Summary: Fourteen years after defeating the immortal warrior Himuro Genma and thwarting the Shogun of the Dark’s evil plans, Kibagami Jubei continues to roam all over Japan as a masterless swordsman. During his journey, he meets Shigure, a priestess who has never seen the world outside her village. But when a group of demons destroys the village and kills everyone, Jubei becomes a prime target after acquiring the Dragon Jewel – a stone with an unknown origin. Meanwhile, Shigure – along with the monk Dakuan and a young thief named Tsubute – travels to the village of Yagyu. And with two demon clans now hunting down Shigure, Dakuan must once again acquire the services of Jubei to protect the Priestess of Light.
This is one of the series that I really enjoyed and wished that they made more episodes! This series came out years after the original Ninja Scroll Movie came out years ago. The storyline doesnt follow the original story completely but it does have the same demons fighting to get the Dragon Jewel. Jubei is the main character, who is an extremely skilled swordsman taking out demon after demon protecting Shigure. Jubei is pretty funny, and he is roaming around with his rat pack trying to accomplish their mission. The storyline is great, and the animation is extremely well done, they did a really good job with the dubbing. I really recommend it for those who like ninja story lines with amazing animaion.

Plot Summary: The year is now 2041 AD. A new enemy called Zeravire suddenly appears in the solar system, destroying all military installations it comes across. However, a wealthy man named Klein Sandman is already aware of this planned invasion and had been secretly preparing his army for battle. His trump card is Gravion, a giant robot that utilizes gravity as its source of energy. Meanwhile a young man named Eiji secretly enters Sandman’s base in search for his missing sister. It is there that he meets another young man by the name of Toga… These two must now fight together with four other individuals aboard the super robot, Gravion to fend off the Zeravire threat.
This is a cool Mecha anime with an interesting story. You have a group of people with a leader who seems to have technology to fight an Alienrace that is trying to annialate the human race. And the human race is completely dependent on them since they dont have the developed milatary technology to fight them. Sandman is their charismatic leader who has a bit of mystery surrounding him. Eiji is a loud, arrogant, stubborn guy who is looking for his sister who he last knew was in Sandman’s castle. So he joins them and becomes part of the team, but he is still searching for his sister between the fights. Its one entertaining anime and there is a lot sexual comedy involved since Eiji, Toga, Sandman and one more are the only men in a huge castle filled with female mechanics, maids, cooks, and female fighter pilots. If your looking for an entertaining mecha anime then this is what you should see, it doesnt have a deep story but its entertaining.

Plot Summary
The traveler Kino and a sentient motorcycle by the name of Hermes are dedicated to seeing the world. Together they visit many countries and city-states of the world but always observe a near sacred rule: they will remain only three days no matter what happens or whatever they encounter. As Kino and Hermes follow their journey, they will experience and explore the many varied aspects of humanity.
This is one interesting anime, I kept seeing that people like it and it had a motorcycle. But it turned out to be deeper then that. Kino is traveling with her Motorad, which seems to be concious. Kino doesnt spend more then 3 days in any one place, its just something that she seemed to have developed. And no specific reason for traveling, but Kino is a pretty experienced traveller. This anime explores the different type of human nature and human society. At first it starts off a bit and slow and you dont trully understand everything, but towards the end you appreciate all the travel done and you get a perspective of different societies that could arise and how people could develop. Its pretty freaky at some points how people are. Overall I thought it was cool anime. But it isnt for everyone, its anime that gets you thinking and requires you to get into it to really enjoy it.

Plot Summary: Yugo the Negotiator has never lost a case. He has vowed to complete any mission he undertakes, no matter what. A woman came to him one day asking for him to save her father who was being held hostage by a rebel group trying to overthrow a Middle-Eastern government. Aided by his many contacts, Yugo heads to the Middle East with no idea where to start, but he’ll discover he’s not alone on his mission.
Yugo is a different kind of anime then what you are usually used to. It revolves around the story of the negotiator, and his capabilities. Yugo is a special kind of negotiator, he has a 100% succcess rate, and he accepts missions on certain criteria and money isnt part of it. What is very interesting about this anime, and it got me to follow it is how much Yugo gets involved in the negotiation, and what he does to make sure everything goes smoothly, putting his life on the life is acceptable for the right cause in his mind. Its interesting seeing how he adapts to different cultures and how he gets involved in it. I think this is a good anime to watch, different story, but the dubbing isnt good. I wish they developed the story lines a little better.

Plot Summary: Ban Mido and Ginji Amano are a recovery duo infamously known as “GetBackers.” Ban possesses two special powers: the “Snake Bite” (his hands have a gripping power of 200kg) and the “Evil Eye” (anyone who looks into his eyes will be locked into a powerful and nightmarish hallucination). Ginji, on the other hand, has the ability to generate thousands of volts of electricity from his body. Together, they run a freelance business of recovering anything lost or stolen from a client – and they claim a 100% success rate at their job.
This is one amazing anime that I didnt get enough of. Ban and Ginji are the best of friends and they are running there recovery service out of a coffee shop that they try to freeload off of. Whats great about this anime, is that every character you meet in this anime has a story which ties into the central theme. And its great how the story keeps going around and what people do. There is a lot seriousness to this anime which you get pulled into, specifically the story line and what happens, because friends become enemies and enemies become allies it all revolves around the matter of business. So its great watching this anime and see all the mini-plots in the main plots! Each character has a different power, and I looked forward to finding that out and how they fight each other! I think its very well done, and an anime which I got pulled into greatly. I didnt get enough of it, even with 10 dvds I felt like I wanted more of this! I really recommend this anime series for those who like a litte fighting with a great story line intertwined with comedy!

Plot Summary: In a crime-ridden future Japan, Kyohei Tachibana is a peaceful student at a culinary school, dreaming of going to France for advanced study as a patissier (pastry chef). To afford the trip, he accepts a part-time job as private cook to a strange group of women – Sei, Meg, Jo and Amy. To Kyohei’s astonishment, they turn out to be a band of violent mercenaries, and he finds himself in the line of fire.
This is one interesting anime, since you follow different characters from the beginning of the anime. Its a science fiction type anime with some comedy, and mecha in the mix. At first your following Kyohei for the beginning of the series, and seems comedy oriented, but there is a deeper plot in the background. Something that you dont get see for a while. Your following this band of mercenaries expecting Kyohei to be some sort of savior or deeply involved in it. But after developing a lot of the characters and their relationships in the series it takes a strange drop because of plot line taking a strange twist (very Akira like), but its still a good anime. They could have done a little bit more work to smooth out the changes, but overall good. Its more like a real life story in that its not always a happy ending.
