Review: Kiba...

kiba1.jpg

Plot Summary: In an overbuilt world, young Zed dreams of freedom and of a door. While fleeing the authority of his world, he is transported to a completely different place, a world of nature instead of machines. There he meets the young girl Roia and learns that he is a Shard Caster. He can cast Shards and control “Spirits”. Unbeknowst to Zed, his best friend Noah has also travelled to the new world. Noah and Zed become enmeshed in the ways of their new world, while growing into their new abilities.

kiba2.jpg

This is a story about Zed being transported into a different world because he is looking for strength, but not sure what kind of strength. In this anime the fighters called shard casters control spirits which is a part of them, and if they are beat they can lose these spirits to their rivals. There are four lands trying to fight to gain the Key Spirits which are special Spirits which are more powerful then all the Spirits in their world. There are a total of Six, and there is a long story to get to them. The action is non-stop in this anime but with 51 episodes there are quiet a few filler episodes which gets annoying, but the action keeps me watching and it is an interesting story. You want to know where it is going to end, towards the end the story got better so I did enjoy the ending but I think it would have been better if it was a little bit short.

shuei_bleach.jpg

I came to the realization that I have a lot of anime, and I have some old anime that I haven’t seen yet and they are in storage in folders deep deep within the cavern and tunnels of my directories. I surprised when I come across them and I make a mental note to watch them, but then I get too caught up with the ones I have right in front of me, but I still feel like its candy when I see that I have episodes to watch.

What I’m Watching

  • Kiba (Very Good)

  • Claymore (Excellent)

Review: Busou Renkin...

busourenkin.jpg

Plot Summary: One night, Kazuki Muto jumps in to try to save what he thinks is a girl in distress from a monster and instead gets impaled through the heart. The girl, Tokiko, is actually an alchemic warrior with a Busou Renkin, name of Valkerie Skirt, with the mission to exterminate Homunculi. She implants the only other successful work of alchemy than the Homunculus, the Kakugane, to take the place of Kazuki’s heart. The Kakugane resonates with his fighting spirit and forms a Busou Renkin (in his case a spear) so he can fight the Homunculus monsters who prey on humans. Kazuki joins with Tokiko to battle with the Homunculi and protect his friends and his sister Mahiro.

busourenkin2.jpg

Busou Renkin is a story revolving around a student named Kazuki who fell into a conflict between warrior alchemists and homonculus monsters. These homonculus have to consume humans to survive, and the warrior alchemists fight them to stop them. There is a darker secret which is slowly unveiled but it has lots of action and comedy, and you slowly see the deeper storyline as time progress. An action anime with a character you can’t help but like, and its an easy anime to watch and enjoy. Busou Renkin itself is the weapon manifestation of the alchemists power through the Kakugane. If you liked Full Metal Alchemist then you will find this enjoyable.

Review: Death Note...

deathnote-2.jpg

This is one of the most riveting anime stories ever told, and you are kept on your toes throughout every episode. Each one keeps getting better and better. Yagami Light discovers a notebook, which seems rather normal until he reads the content which describes it as a Death Note, a notebook of Shinigami (A Death God). And if he writes a person’s name there and he has an image of his face then that person will die of a heart attack unless otherwise specified differently. This is a very twisted and action packed anime about a young man who is given the power to kill at his will just by writing a persons’ name down. Things get very intense as he is challenged by one of the most intelligent investigator in the current century and Yagami is also on the same level of intelligence. That person is known as L, and Yagami is given the name Kira since they do not know his real name. From the start it is Kira vs. L and thing progress in a way which leaves you no idea what is the next step. This is one of the best animes ever made and should be watched by any person who remotely likes anime, you want nothing but to watch it from end to end but you are not satisfied when it finishes since it is so damn good.

Anime Experiment List...

dgrayman.jpg

I have a lot of anime that I go through, and I don’t stumble onto good anime just by luck. Its more of a trial and error process with most being good, a few being fantastic, and one or two which are horrible and I wish I didn’t watch them.

Just to give you an idea, below is my current test list. It doesn’t have to be new, it just has to be Japanese Animation and I will probably try watching it.

bokurano0001ym8.jpg

Anime Experiment List:

  • Zipang
  • Daphne
  • Kamichu
  • Solty Rei
  • Tokko
  • Kurau
  • Boys Be
  • Seirei no Moribito
  • D.Gray-man
  • Bokurano
  • Shingu
  • Black Cat
  • Kannazuki No Miko

I already have an idea about some of them as being good, but some of them I have no clue how they are going to be. Its fun watching these random anime’s and finding out they are amazing and I am then happy I stumbled onto them.

Keeping Me Up!...

kiba.jpg

I have been storing up on lots of different animes and I have had a good selection to choose from. Recently I have started watching multiple different animes and all of them turned out to be really good so whenever I get a good nights sleep the night before I end up staying up late watching a good amount of anime. I really do enjoy that I am getting a good dose but this is just messing up my sleeping patterns but I am enjoying it!

The Perpetrators:

  • Naruto Shippuuden
  • Kiba
  • Claymore
  • Death Note
Cool Statues & Busts...

captainbritain.jpg

I have been looking at some Transformer Statues and I came across this website with some really cool Statues and Busts fo a lot of different characters. I would love to have that cool office with all these things all over the place, a really nerd/geek zone. With some anime cells on the wall and the great network in the perfect home office, a place to be real creative. These statues and busts are so well made, and have so much detail its just amazing.

What I’m watching

  • Naruto Shippuuden
  • Death Note
  • Welcome to the NHK
  • Devil May Cry
  • Hellsing Ultimate
  • Claymore

What I usually like to do is save up a bunch of episodes and then watch them all one go instead of trying to watch week to week, it drives me nuts when I have a good anime and I have to wait a week or more to watch the next episode so I save up on as many as possible and watch them one go. Currently the two I’m watching the most are Welcome to NHK and Death Note!

Review: Justice League...

justice-league.jpg

I have always been a huge fan of comics, and DC comics had a great set of super heroes. When Cartoon Network started developing and airing Justice League I became a huge fan after watching the first couple of episodes. I tried following the series but I didn’t have all the timings down, and Cartoon Network wasn’t consistent. I’m happy that I managed to find the DVD set of Justice League, and they did a good job including all the features of the series and explaining the breakdown of the Justice League, how they came about to making the show, and explaining why they did certain things in the animation. They tried to get a pace to the animation and not go wild with too many concepts. The artwork resembles Superman the animation and Batman Beyond, but with a lot more characters such as Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, Hawk Girl, Jean (The Martian), and Batman. My favorite character is the Green Lantern, the funniest character is Flash, and the darkest character is Batman as usual. They had a big obstacle in front of them with this first animation since it is the first time to put so many DC comic characters in one show, and they did a great job with it. This show brings out the kid in you and every person that watches it gets warped into the show.

Review: Highlander – The Search Fo...

highlanderthesearchforvengeance.jpeg

I had high expectations for this anime even though it is an animated remake version of the Highlander story. The story starts with the life of Colin McCloud in his current situation and going right into battle. One of the main aspects of the anime from the start is the high quality of the art as well as the fantastic action. The story is simple yet very well done, and the anime goes back and forth to cover the history of Colin and his history with his rival. This anime can only be described as a combination of Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D, and the director is the same of Ninja Scroll and Bloodlust. It is one of the most enjoyable anime movies I have seen yet, and if you are a fan of Ninja Scroll then this is a must see.
