I ordered some dvds from Amazon to be directly sent to me through DHL, and I ordered an mp3 player to be sent through Aramex to Kuwait. We shall see how this turns out.
I wanted to test which one would just come through! One thing is that I want to see who will deliver faster DHL or Aramex. I will be posting the list of DVDs and the one gadget that I want! I know that DHL will arrive sooner, but I just want to see what happens with customs in Kuwait. Hopefully this time it won’t get stuck for two months!
You can pretty much get a copy of any software you want in the market at this point. There are some pieces of software which I think are rediculously priced and some which I think should be bought original so that you recieve updates and support that you may need.
Rule of thumb in my opinion is that every coorporate establishment or business should be using all original software and I find it sad that there are a lot of companies that use copy versions of windows when they can easily afford purchasing original licenses. For some individuals they can justify buying a pirated versions of OS and I can understand that but for companies I find that to be an unacceptable practice.
And now there is going to be the release of Vista at the end of January with the different variations. I know there is going to be a pirated version out there asap and work arounds for the security, no matter how formmidable the security for a piece of software someone will always find a workaround or crack if they see a major benefit for them to do it or work on it.
There are few things I tend to get original since it is ciritical software for your system, and most other software is available for free:
- OS original (XP Pro)
- Anitvirus (NOD 32)
- Firewall (Zonealarm Pro)
- ConvertXtoDVD (for MKV files to DVD, to watch highquality 24)
- I get these software original for the support updates for them, except for ConvertXtoDVD since I got that for the need to burn an episode of 24 to DVD and it was urgent. I can’t do without my 24.
Ofcourse there are some pieces of software which I tend to rediculously priced so I get it through other means. I think the only major one for me is Adobe Photoshop because of how expensive it is.
I have to say that this is the coolest piece of news regarding Halo that I have seen in the past couple of months! Someone is really developing a Halo type suit for real combat and I would like to get my hands on it before Halo 3! I would be wearing this while playing Halo 3 because it makes me play even better!

Since a lot of people are taking off going somewhere and doing something over the next two weeks the net feels a bit empty. Like nobody is around and everybody is busy doing something. I’m just wondering if the internet is any faster for more downloading.
Social Networking has been an insane craze over the past 4 years, it really heated up over the past couple of years. The one that got really big because it was the first was MySpace, and it has a huge following in North America. And then other ones started coming out like hi5, Facebook, and LiveSpaces. The one that seems to be all over Kuwait is hi5 and I really have no clue why it has spread insanely.
Personally Im not much for the social networking because in Kuwait its a pretty small community, and I think blogs are a lot more useful in conveying opinions, information, entertainment, and news. I think that hi5 and MySpace aren’t as socially connecting as something like Facebook. I think Facebook is more professional regarding how people connect and they know each other, but the other two you just simply keep adding people. When I see somebody have 300+plus friends I think thats a little rediculous. I’m not even really sure how some of these social networking websites work, but I keep seeing friends who do use it. I still haven’t seen anyone use LiveSpaces, but they had a late entry into this game.
It does have some of its uses though, which connect people who haven’t seen each other in a long time. I keep hearing about long lost friends meeting up again and that in itself is a fantastic thing. For myself I dont think I would be joining any of these websites anytime soon.
This is a pretty cool idea, I just saw this product on Uncrate and I think its really a cool thing to do with your photos. I used to hang a ton of photos in and around my apartment, and in the house Im thinking of doing that but I have to choose specific pictures to put up.

The one game I am looking forward to more then any other game. Halo is so good it should be classified as a genre of its own. Forget the PS3 this is the game that of 2007. No other reason to buy another game!
Halo 1 is so good that it keeps getting sold out in Kuwait, and Halo 2 can only be found in low quantities. People buying X-Box 360s still buy Halo 1 and Halo 2. What does that say.

This is one messed up police! They tazed this kid 4-5 times, it hurts like hell. He was screaming his head off everytime they tazed him. He was being manhandled by the police because he couldnt provide identification that he is a student while sitting but then they tazed him saying he was resisting. You can read the story at the link below or watch the 6 minute video on Youtube, the story doesnt do the kid justice. Real screwed up, poor kid, I hope he sues them and wins millions!
