Its Hammer Time!...

I think this, a promotion for A&E’s MC Hammer reality show, is one of the scariest things I’ve seen in a long time. I can’t imagine calmly shopping in a clothing store and then being swamped by dozens of dancers in Hammer pants running and dancing while “U Can’t Touch This” is cranked up on the sound system. I’d rather be RickRolled.

I loved MC Hammer when I was a kid, I don’t think there is anyone who didn’t try to dance to Hammer Time. This is hilarious, I would be laughing my head off to this amazingly choreographed stunt, and look at the old guy pulling those moves.

Recent Full Downloads...

There is only one conclusion with all this, I’m pretty much a download junkie. I have been downloading all the recent TV shows a consistent pace but sometimes some of them fall off the way side and sometimes I don’t know why but I might not have all the seasons of a show I was following. This is what happens when you migrate your data so much, and over the past couple of years I have had a few major migrations. So this time around I am trying to see which shows that I want to have, I don’t have Entourage so I’m downloading the whole thing, then there are a few shows which I don’t seem to have the seasons even though I remember watching them like Dexter, I have kept Prison Break and Heroes on hold so I can watch it one go. There are a few other odd shows that I want to download like Red Dwarf and MacGuyver, I’m trying to look for some other old school shows. Archiving old shows is another task which has increased my download list. Just one note for those reading the download speeds, this is based from a Server hosted in Europe which we have managed to configure for our downloads and not the speeds in Kuwait, it would be phenomenal if those were the speeds but that isn’t the case.

  • Battlestar Galactica Season 4 720p (23.49 GBs)
  • Dexter Seasons 1 & 2 BlueRay Rips (23.31 GBs)
  • Entourage Seasons 1-4 (12.77 GBs)
  • Heroes Season 3 720p (27.98 GBs)
  • Justice League Complete (16.21 GBs)
  • Prison Break Seas 4 720p (24.72 GBs)
  • The Spectacular Spiderman Season 1 (2.17 GBs)
Battlestar Galactica – End of Seas...

I have been watching this show religiously, but recently I came to a bit of a stump so I haven’t seen it for a while. This week I decided to finish season 3 since season 4 which is the last season of the show has come to an end. I started at episode 6 which is where I stopped off and remember why I was so addicted to the show, I couldn’t stop and everything pretty much went to hell by the last episode.

The Spoilers or my notes:

  • The cyclons are ridiculous that they are still keeping up
  • What the hell is going on with that baby and what does he have to do with everything
  • Gaias Baltar is a prick but he deserves to live
  • Starbuck is back, I thought she was gone
  • What the hell is going on at the end, those four are cylons and how could they tell just from the music, I hope this is explained somewhat in season 4 because that is going to drive me nuts
  • Cylon number Six or Tricia Helfer is a ridiculously hot cylon/human, I love how she is always looking good when they come to interogate her and she does give off that hot/evil/I am innocent look

Fantastic show, I just hope that season 4 satisfies my expectations as I don’t even know what to expect!

Jay Leno has Stepped Down...

Its been so many years and now Jay Leno is stepping down from The Tonight Show. Conan O’Brian is stepping in for him on the show but it isn’t going to be the same. I preferred Jay Leno over most of the other late night presenters. He has this way of being a straight shooter and a way of pointing out the obvious, but Conan is a little bit of Klutz and David Letterman is a bit annoying. I think Jay is going to enjoy the vast amount of cars that he has collected over the years.

V – ABC Trailer...

Damn this crazy show from the early 90s is back, who remembers V! After watching that TV show I had a fear of lizards and white mice for a while. Lizards taking human form and they have the ability to eat humans whole in one go. Seems that ABC is making the pilot for this show, and this is the trailer. It looks pretty good, and some interesting actors, but if they don’t do this right they can really ruin it, so I’m crossing my fingers and hoping for a great show.

Review: Fringe...

There have been very few shows that have set itself at the top such as this. Fringe is the best Sci Fi Drama show to air on television period. The characters are very interesting, the storyline is fantastic, you never have a dull episode. Every time I watched an episode I enjoyed it immensely but at the same time I was left with more questions, where was it going, who is in charge, what was going on, what can happen next. The best part is that what ever was happening is usually explained to a degree or is a part of science that can be explained, but such advances in human test subjects that you only here of in secret testing facilities. All this is packed into one hell of a show, the season finale left me wanting more, I didn’t even know it was the season finale until it was too late, what a great ending, I really can’t wait for season 2 to start.

Knight Rider Cancelled, At Last!...

At last the torture will end, NBC has decided to cancel the damn show. What did they think when the story line was horrible and a car which can defy the laws of physics and morph into other retarded car. I know that a lot of media companies were bringing back old shows and were doing a decent job, but this show was an embarrassment. They ruined the memory of Knight Rider, I even have all the songs of the intro and the days when Hasslehoff was cool.

TV Shows March 2009...

I have gotten caught up with a lot of TV shows over the past couple of months. There are a lot of good shows and some shows I haven’t been able to watch since I got caught up with the others. Since I have managed to watch a lot of shows, I’m just going to write quick opinions about the shows, if you want more info you can click on the name to find out more information.

Current TV Shows – What I’m watching on a weekly basis

  • Fringe – Best of the new breed of shows, keeps you on the edge of your seat.
  • 24 – Jack – No more needs to be said
  • Lie To Me – A great new show about a man who can tell if your lying from your facial expressions
  • The Mentalist – A man helping a federal agency with all the cases they face
  • The Unit – Special forces unit and this season is the best season of this show
  • Smallville – I am hooked on Smallvile and can’t wait for Clark to fly
  • 90210 – Drama in a Beverly Hills highschool, always fun
  • Burn Notice – A secret agent trying to piece together his life while stuck in Miami, action packed
  • Trust Me – Two guys in an advertising agency who always have to complete their tasks and facing competition internally and externally, pretty damn funny

Funny Shows:

  • The Big Bang Thoery – I laugh so much it hurts, really
  • 30 Rock – Alec Baldwin is hilarious
  • Chuck – Chuck just can’t seem to stay out of trouble, a very easy and light show to watch, and he has a bunch of funny guys he works with.
