Plot Summary: Inukami are demons with the apearence of a dog which protect the humans from other demons. However, Keita, a descendant of a historic Inukami-tamer family, lacked their gift, and so he was forsaken by the family. One day, an Inukami named Yoko came in to his life, and from then on, Keita’s life would never be the same. Although Yoko was really beautiful, she was a problematic Inukami that no one had been able to control, and from that moment the endless train of Keita’s embarrassments was without end.

Keita is the black sheep of the family he got stuck with an Inukami who is basically a delenquent. Basically Youko is the black sheep of the Inukami and Keita is the black sheep of the Kawahira’s Inukami. Oddly they seem to be the perfect match, and they get into some crazy adventures together. Keita is basically a heathen who is chasing other women and trying to have as many women as possible, he also gets beaten up at every moment by Youko because she feels he is unfaithful to her and he thinks that she has no right. It is a hilarious circle, this is an enteratining anime which keeps you laughing, lots of sexual comedy, and there is a bit of serious undertone to it. Overall just a funny anime to enjoy.

Plot Summary: Life on Mars is hard for those who live here. As the economy worsens, work becomes scarce and food becomes expensive and highly prized. Gram and his friends try to do the best they can but, he finds himself on the run with the most notorious pirates on Mars. The only problem is he soon starts to enjoy the adventure.

Gram joins the band of pirates and gets pulled into the battle between them and the Earth Forces. They are on Mars and they view themselves as the Robinhoods, resources as scarce so Mars is somewhat dependent on Earth. There is a lot going on politically and Gram is stuck in the middle of it, but then there is Gram’s history and something hidden in the background that he is tied to. This anime jumps right into it without too much explanation, so gets right into the anime. I thought it was going one way then it changes direction in the story line. The quality of animation is good with a good amount of humor, I got to really like characters of the pirate ship. Comedy is central to this anime, but the lack of continuity in the storyline got a bit annoying I kept watching the anime over a stretched period. I thought the ending would be better then it was, it was a good anime but there are better animes out there.

I was very surprised to find a place that makes replica swords from Bleach, it has become that famous that they are available. High quality swords usually start at $100 – $300 range and go up very quickly based on your capability to use them. These replica swords are just for show, but it doesn’t mean you can’t do a lot of damage with them especially since they are Ichigo’s Bankai Swords! I would really like to order both of them, but I have two problems; 1) No where to put them, 2) Customs.

The first Ichigo sword is 68 inches (172 cm) long and could probably do a lot of damage! And it only costs around $80 which is very little for Ichigo’s Bankai sword! The second sword is Ichigo’s Stage 1 Bankai when he couldn’t control his power initially and its 52 inches (132 cm) long which is also very large and sells at $50.

Plot Summary: In their closed-off underground village, Kamina and Simon chafe at the limits imposed by the village elder. Yet all this will change, when Simon stumbles across a fantastic device – just as the village’s peace is broken by a violent intrusion.

What an anime, I kept reading about this anime from a little while back and it was getting very high ratings. Its about Simon who lives underground and find Lagann while digging around unerground. Humans were all living underground because of problems they were having above ground, that is what they learned but Simon and Kamina wanted more. They had to battle huge robots, and the battle just began from there, Simon would never give up no matter what the situation was and they were always trying to protect everyone while putting themsevles on the line. It has been a long time since I have seen an anime such as this, the quality of art was amazing, the charisma of the characters was fantastic,and I remember all the characters very intimately. The humor wouldn’t stop in this series, even with all the bad things that was taking place you could see all the characters finding a reason to go forward and fight.  The music used for this anime was perfect and always fitting for the scene, there is nothing that they didn’t do to make this an amazing anime. This is one of my Top Ten anime of all time, and if you like anime remotely then you should be watching this one. It leaves you wanting more, and you get so attached that you miss it.

I have been asked this question a few times, basically how do I find the anime that I watch. Well it would be considered a complex formula with multiple layers to it. There are lots of sources of information and recommendations for anime, then there are the fansubs (the people that translate the Japanese dialogue and insert the subtitles).

My source of information is AnimeNewsNetwork, they provide me with information regarding any Anime in its Japanese or English name. The first thing I do is see if the story interests me, and I’m usually interested in all forms anime.

Then I take a look at the Fansubs and what they are currently working on, having a quality fansub can make or break an Anime, a bad fansub will get you annoyed with the storyline since the dialogue won’t match the action taking place and it would drive you nuts, so quality subtitles is important. So if a fansub group is working on a new project then I check out a few episodes, and if I like it then I follow it.

The only issue with Fansubs is that the smaller ones disappear after a while, the bigger ones stay like the ones from the top of my list.

Another way is to check out a few forums or groups for anime, but some anime forums are too intense. One forum that I recommend for anime is the OffTopic Forum, but only the anime part of the forum because the other part they are a bit too aggressive.

Then there is MyAnimeList which is a really well built social site for anime and those who want to follow their anime or see recommendations. One person built the whole site, and it is amazing how simple and useful the site is. I use it to get a few recommendations as well as keep tabs on all the shows I am watching.

I was really looking forward to this movie when I first heard about it, the first book I read voluntarily was called “The Life and Death of Superman”. That book moved me so much, I felt extremely sad when Superman passed away and the build up of it was amazing, I didn’t know before that how much words and a book could move you. And this animated movie was about the same story, but it was such a disappointment.

I’m happy I watched the animation because I got pulled into the story, but it had no depth to it. With this original story there was a huge build up to the death of superman and there were so many superheroes, so I was disappointed how they shortened the whole story. And I have gotten used to the animation from Justice League unlimited which was extremely well done, but in this movie it felt like they didn’t fine tune any of the graphics and animation which showed the quality of work. I was looking forward to a good story and amazing animation, but what I got was a butchered version.

Plot Summary: One stormy night, Nangou is playing a game of Mahjong with the local yakuza. Soon, he finds himself on a losing streak. If Nangou loses, he will have to pay with his life. Suddenly, a young teenaged boy, Akagi Shigeru, barges in, drenched from the rain. After watching a couple of games, he offers to replace the struggling Nangou. At that moment, a new legend was born.

I was honestly surprised when I stumbled upon this man, it revolves around Akagi Shigeru and his capacity for being a genius. He lives his life by challenging everything he knows and making sure his life is on the line every time he does something. The mental capability of this person is nothing short of insane, the game they play in Japan is called Mahjong, it is a complex asian tile game which he has mastered by playing right away. He is able to read deep into people and he has no boundary and aims for death, with his capabilities he takes out the best of the gamblers, the yakuza, and other people. He doesn’t do it for the money, he does it for the thrill of putting his life on the line and taking the life of the person in front of him, his nature in these situations is nothing short of a Demon. If you liked Death Note then you would love this anime, the animation is a bit crude but the story is fantastic.

Doctor Stephen Strange was a neurosurgeon in a prominent hospital in New York, suddenly he witness a battle in the realm of magic in front of him which he thinks is a hallucination. He ignores what he saw and continues with his life until one day he sees something no normal human can see, and suddenly gets into a car accident which renders his hands useless as a surgeon. From that point on he searches for a solution and finds none, he continues on this path until he has destroyed his life. When he has reached bottom he is shown a path which leads to Tibet and may hold his answers. This is a well made animation with a story line to boot, it revolves around Dr. Strange and his path to becoming the powerful magician, it shows the origins of his powers and how he came to be. The action in this movie is superb and quality is high, it seems Marvel are coming out with good quality animated movie to bring back the popularity of their characters, if they continue on this path then they will succeed.

Plot Summary: Balsa the spearwoman is a wandering warrior, who takes on the task of saving lives, in atonement for a past sin. On her journey, she happens to save a prince, and is tasked with becoming his bodyguard. And he is going to need one, for his own father, the emperor, wants him dead.

Balsa is on a quest herself since she has promised that should save eight souls and she would not kill anyone in the process. She takes on the protection of Chagum as the last and eighth sou, with this she puts herself totally at risk and she will care for the boy, she takes the task with the intent to protect him at all costs. The reason they want the Prince dead is they think he is possessed by a water demon who will cause a drought in the Land of the Yogo Empire, when it turns out they are mistaken. Balsa doesn’t care what others will say, she will protect Chagum with her life and the with the help of her odd family. The animation itself is very well done with a fantastic story line, and your attention is always pulled into the development of Chagum. I recommend this to anyone who wants to watch an anime with a very good storyline.

For the family guy lover this would be the perfect gift all the seasons up to season 5 part 1, you also get a lot of extras with it. I think Family Guy is one of the funniest shows on TV, to the extent that it was brought back because it was so funny after being canceled, they noticed the huge dvd sales they were getting. Now it just keeps getting better and better, Stewei and Peter are my two favorite characters.
