It was an interesting and relaxing night! A lot of people managed to show up which was great and we got an early start to a relaxing night. I also got Pyro back which was great, the exhaust is nothing short of fantastic!
We managed to watch a couple of things which was cool:
- Justice League
- Sicko
- Afro Samurai
And some good food in between all that, and we had a large supply of KDD ice cream from one of the participants! It was great!
Today was one of those nice chills nights! Things were just flowing from one thing to the other! At first we had our Ghost Recon session as expected, and then we watched a little Justice League! When we were online in Ghost Recon even hosting our own session we were getting our butts handed to us by a bunch of kids! It was ridiculous! They got us every time!
After that we had a nice bite to eat, and we popped in a movie which I thought was just going to be good but turned out to be surprisingly good! I will be reviewing it for sure. It was a nice night, and these are the nights I look forward to! Got a few things to do this weekend but it seems to be a relaxing one for sure.
As usual I went to cousin’s Dewaneya but there is always something going on when we go there and why always on a Saturday. I went there and I was happy everyone else was there, but this time I texted to make sure and I was taking my time getting there. The one thing I wasn’t expecting was the A/C to be broken, and it was really humid, really really humid.
I was there for about 30 minutes and from there I exited since I was feeling a bit tired. It was nice being there but next time I would prefer the A/C to be working.
This past week everybody seemed busy and I wasn’t sure who was going to show up and who wasn’t but we started watching Justice League, and we kept watching episode after episode. I remember I really enjoyed the series but I didn’t get a chance to watch all of them or keep up with them. So I was happy we had the discs, it was as good as I remember and I didn’t even mind watching some of the ones I saw again. We will be enjoying this series.
Later in the evening we started playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warriors online with about 12 other players and on one level we did pretty well. On another level we got annihilated, literally we were nailed to the wall always hearing one of our guys getting shot.
After that we decided we will need more training and we need to practice on a few maps. Some of these people knew these places inside out, I decided to use the grenade launched, at least taking them out with me if they kill me.
It was a nice night but we didn’t get a chance to watch the movie we wanted to, so its saved for another day.
I usually can tolerate my cousin being late for the dewaneya, and he is usually very late, but this past Saturday night it was slightly different. I was exhausted from a long day and not getting home until 7:41pm and just getting a quick bite before heading towards the dewaneya, I was tired but thought I should better go to see everyone. When I get there I notice I was the first to be there like usual but after sitting there for 10 minutes I find out that my cousin left Kuwait early this afternoon and decided that everyone should come to his dewaneya even though he wasn’t there. I drank two cups of tea to keep me awake enough to drive home, and so I headed straight home after talking to him. I got there 8:57 pm and left at 9:10 pm which wasn’t early enough. He shall be thoroughly punished for his actions, and I’m going to do something about him not notifying me. This is just unacceptable! This could mean war!
This has been one hectic week but I have been looking forward to Wednesday night to chill with my friends and it has been worth the wait.

- Mark brought along Dead or Alive 4 and as usual I kicked everyone’s butt in it no matter what character I picked so we stopped playing quickly because we had other games to play, this was just no fun because I was too good
- We Played Ghost Recon Advanced Warrior with 4 players on X-Box Live against other players and we were having a great time, sniping and fighting other people. We were hearing the funniest comments from some of the players, it was hilarious! We were busting up laughing but still shooting, its really fun playing four players online, but we tried not to kill each other but that happened.
- Then had a bite to each while watching a movie.
Nice easy night and a good time, but still feeling exhausted, I need to rest this weekend.
After the nice ride I decided to head over to my cousin’s place to watch some Jericho. I keep hearing that its a great show and I had about 22 episodes of it, except for episode 7, I can’t seem to find episode 7! So I burned 5 episodes onto DVD and I headed over to my cousin’s house a little later then usual. I went straigt to the basement and got everything ready, my cousin wasn’t in his usual place.
He came down after a little bit and we started watching, and of course had our usual Orange Sherbert as we were watching. Later in the evening my other cousin decided to join us for dinner and he started watching Jericho with us. I was happy he was adhering to the rules of no talking, and it didn’t help that I was being a little … physical.. with whoever was distrupting the show, zero tolerance. I got them both hooked on Jericho, its a great show and they should have another season, it has a bit of Lost in it where you aren’t sure of everyone there and your trying to piece everything together but its much better in my opinion.
I passed by my cousin’s Dewaneya like every saturday, always looking forward to it at the end of the day! This time I decided to take my time and not show up at 8:00pm instead I showed up at 9:00pm and I’m happy I wasn’t the first person there. I have been annoying my cousin about his unfashionably late arrivals at this dewaneya, I think after a few years he has gotten a bit of the hint!
This night was a very good night, for the first time I wasn’t feeling sleepy by 10pm, its probably because I slept early! We were only a few guys eating dinner but just as we were finishing more and more people showed up and it was fun. Conversations flying left and right, covering multiple topics, and a good amount of fun. I wish I could stay longer but having to wake up early is a killer. Always good to go to a dewaneya with a good bunch of guys.
I went to my cousin’s dewaneya last night and I was exhausted. It felt completely numb after the ride and taking a shower. I got to my cousin’s dewaneya and as usual he is late, I sat there for a little while and I called him and texted him. As usual he is late, the funny part is I always arrive around 8:00pm to 8:20pm and I watch a little tv while I’m there. I have to say that MBC action is one of the most entertaining channels on tv that I know of. Another person came in and after a little while my cousin showed up, as usual he is 35 minutes late, and last time he was 50 minutes late! He is horrible at organizing his time and he sleeps in some times as well and I love nagging him about it, but I also enjoy going over there. Its a dewaneya with an interesting bunch of people, and a lot of good friends. Whats funny is the development of this dewaneya over the past 10 years, it has grown with us and gone through the stages same as us. It has a lot of our history, and I have to say the food is also good but because I’m so damn tired every saturday I don’t even have the energy to stay up and eat. So I drove home dead tired, but its always nice going there even though the guy is always late!
A friend of mine just emailed me telling us that he is Maui for work taking out some clients. He works for a software company in the states, and the first thing I texted him when I saw the pictures was “I see a hurricane coming your way very very soon.” He is playing on the PGA golf course with some of his coworkers and enjoying the weather. And he texts me back “Getting a littlle hot where you are, isn’t it!”
A visit to a tropical Island would do very well right now.
