Facebook – The Abuses...

Facebook

I have always been a bit paranoid to a degree to lay out all my information on any social networking websites, and now this is all coming true since they changed the user agreement contracts, and nobody really did anything about it to stop them. The worst part is that your profile can never really be deleted, the information is always there, and as stated below all your comments are stored in a Database that they can query later and take a nice look. Look at the ridiculousness of the employees by reading the points below, its insane how much information they have stored up and people don’t realize. Facebook is even blocking those companies that are trying to provide a service in which you can delete your profile and everything associated with it, so they want to keep your info. Facebook is morphing into this scary blog with world domination in mind, at one point they will cripple all the world’s governments.

  • As of a few months ago, Facebook records and archives information on whose profile you view. (Apparently this was already publicly known.)
  • Facebook has 200-220 million active users, and more than 300 million total accounts, including disabled accounts and potential fakes.
  • At one point, Facebook staff widely used a “master password” that unlocked access to anyone’s account. Use of this password has been “deprecated,” i.e. discouraged, implying the password might still exist and work. What was the password? “With upper and lower case, symbols, numbers, all of the above, it spelled out ‘Chuck Norris,’ more or less. It was pretty fantastic.”
  • The Facebook employee is aware of at least two coworkers being fired for abusing their access to profiles; the employee herself also inappropriately access profiles.
  • Facebook employees can “just query the database” to find your Facebook messages.

Botamba Blog Aggregator...

botamba

Just got listed on this new Kuwait Blogs Aggregator which seems to be very easy and fun to read. You can easily submit your blog with image your would like associated with it, I chose the usual Z as the symbol and some really interesting blogs on there. And I really do like the name to Botamba, the blog listing is done through icons on the right, I have a feeling thats going to grow big and really fast, I don’t know how they plan on handling a lot of listings at a later point but for now its a good start.

Kim Peek – The Man Who Inspired &#...

What is a Savant?

A savant is a person with a learning disability such as autism who has a particular gift for mathematics, remembering facts or figures or for music or other forms of learning, but finds day to day tasks to be difficult and confusing. Kim Peek was a savant, or in his case a mega savant known for his knowledge, capabilities, and out going attitude even though he suffers from autism. He has recently passed away at the age of 56 with such an inspiring story, with his father as his friend and care taker. I have posted the videos describing his amazing story.

While Rain Man was a fictional narrative, screenwriter Barry Morrow was inspired to create the story after meeting Peek at a convention in the early ’80s. Morrow was charmed by Peek’s ability to memorize everything he heard, and went on to write Raymond Babbitt, the character that earned Dustin Hoffman an Academy Award.

Kim’s father, Fran Peek said of his son: “It was just unbelievable, all the things that he knew. He traveled 5,500 miles short of 3 million air miles and talked to nearly 60 million people — half have been students.” As the years went on, the younger Peek became a “mega-savant,” having become a genius in an impressive 15 subjects ranging from literature to sports to geography. As MSNBC says: “NASA scientists had been studying Peek, hoping that technology used to study the effects of space travel on the brain would help explain his mental capabilities.”

Super Snake vs. Godzilla...

Godzilla seems to be annihilating machine after machine, the Japanese knew what they were doing when they created this monster. Even with the 200 bhp more in the Shelby 500 Super Snake it is no match for Godzilla. Just watch the video.

Angry Girl Go Smash!...

Who said girls don’t get angry when you ignore them and play video games all day. My solution is to get the girls in on the game but it seems this guy totally ignored her and she took matters into her own hands. If that was my X-Box I would be pressing charges, but the guy is hilarious at the end.

Toy Cars Destruction...

There is something very entertaining about explosives and there is a danger as well but this gentlemen has taken it to new hieghts. Slow motion capture of the destruction of his diecast vehicles with an amazing musical score to boot, the video is fantastically detailed and well done but I think that a lot of explosive material was needed to destroy the little machines as it did, for those don’t know don’t try but enjoy the video.

Pocket Camcorders 2009...

There have been a lot of HD pocket camcorders released over the passed year with lots of specs and details, and press releases. Luckily Gizmodo took the time to test all of them in real life situations and came up with some very interesting results that I agree with. The main criteria for judging this little machines was smoothness of video during motion, image sharpness, noise, color reproduction, and quality of sound. The usual hardware specs is pretty similar between all the machines but the details here are very well thought out and tested.

Ranking:

  • Flip Ultra HD
  • Flip Mino HD
  • Kodak Zi8

Flip has really made solid cameras and I have used them in different situations, and I have both the Mino HD and Ultra HD, but great pocket camcorders, great quality of sound and picture which are very reasonably priced, under $200. They are capable of a few improvements to make them even better cameras, but I think they have kept the amazing products they have and slowly develop it.

Review: Sirius Satellite Radio Online...

SiriusSatRadio

Out of the Satellite Radio companies I used to prefer XM but now I’m a huge fan of Sirius but the best part is they merged and a large selection of channels is available to Sirius Satellite Radio Online Users. It’s great how they made the service modular, if you have a Sirius subscription then you get the online service for free, but if you don’t then you can receive it for about $2.99 per month which is very low for the amount of channels and quality.

What I Listen To:

  • Sirius XM Hits 1
  • 20 on 20
  • Sirius XM Chill
  • BPM (Dance)
  • Hip Hop Nation (Rap/HipHop)
  • The Heat (RnB/HipHop)
  • Sirius NFL
  • Howard Stern
  • Blue Collar Comedy

Real Usage:

  • You can listen to it through your iPod Touch/iPhone, there is a laptop application or launch from a browser for it, you can listen through music systems or table top systems such as Sonos or Grace Radio.
  • The quality is fantastic, and integartes with lots of systems, I listen to NFL channel during the games and mos to of the time BPM Dance channel in the back ground. Over the years it has only gotten better with more quality and more channels.

Pigeon: Impossible...

A rookie secret agent is faced with a problem seldom covered in basic training: what to do when a curious pigeon gets trapped inside your multi-million dollar, government-issued nuclear briefcase.

I love animation shorts like these, usually there is always one just before a Pixar movie but this one is really good even though its not from Pixar.
