Marina Stop...

dsc00908.jpg

I was packing on Friday morning after my early morning meeting and it was a late afternoon flight so I decided to go visit some family before leaving. I called up one of my friends who I remembered was going to go Marina for an late morning breakfast so I decided to meet them up after my stops. It was such a nice day to be out and there were lots of families, and lots of kids running around. I got a something called to drink while I was with the guys and the whole conversation revoleved around Halo 3 for the 40 minutes I was there, then I had to head back to pack up. The day was cooler when I got up around 8 and it got hotter towards 11 but still it is getting nicer to be outside these days.

Anxious…!...

bostonacousticpro60.jpg

I have had my Landcruiser for over eight years now, and I still do enjoy driving that machine. Everything in that machine is bone stock from the day one except for the tint, thats pretty much the first thing I do to any car due to weather abnormalities in Kuwait. Now that I have ordered my sound system for the car I’m getting caught up with the idea of the new sound system and how it will sound, and what I will have to do to make sure it sounds perfect. Will I have to adjust the amplifier and will I need to do with it? Will the install go perfectly without any hitches? What could go wrong and what I can do to make it doesn’t happen?

jblamp.jpg

All these questions pop in my head because this is the first time I have done a modification of this sort in Kuwait. Since I do have some knowledge about sound systems and with the help of some friends I would take the plunge and try it out. The problem in Kuwait is that these installers are usually only asked for very low quality, so high equality work is probably not available. I’m taking a chance with these guys, but I’m putting in some precautions and I will be over their heads for the three hours of the install.

Aside from that my package has arrive in my mail box from Monday so I am getting anxious waiting for the package to be shipped to Kuwait. I wouldn’t mind paying extra to have them all here in a day or two. The wait is annoying me, but everything will be here in due time. For now it seems I will be a bit preoccupied with work.

Halo 3 and more!...

halo3_valhalla.jpg

I can’t stop saying and I won’t stop saying it! They have literally made the game that moves machines. Every person I know who has tried this game has gone out and bought it after only a few games online. The game play is fantastic and you don’t want to stop playing because its so much.

myhalo3ranking.png

So the other day it was about 4 of us arab guys playing online, and some of us were talking Kuwait on a 16 person team and most were Americans. The moment they heard us, everything started from there! Probably the some of the funniest sessions ever played, so many of them were shouting “Durka Durka” “Lu lu lu lu lu”, and at one point a Saudi Guy started playing with us who was just making us die of laughter while playing. Some people take the game to seriously, but most enjoy playing the game.

In multiplayer we aim to gain as many medals as possible and gain rank as fast as possible. Well that is some of our goals, some of the guys just play to have a good time. I play to annihilate the people in front of me, and I do like when I find the adversary online who is a challenge to kill. The best part is working together to achieve a task, not just to kill as many as possible.

This game has converted PS3 Owners to XBox 360 owners!

Pizza Express – Cat Fight or somet...

fight.jpg

I don’t even know how to describe this sort of situation. After a long day of milchas and running around with other tasks during the day I went to Dahiat Abdulla Al Salem Pizza Express the other day with two my friends since we wanted something quick to eat before heading home. When we sat outside there was a table of guys about 8 in total, and another table about 5 girls sitting together in the other corner. Everyone just seemed normal, and I think I knew two of the guys at the other table but I completely forgot their names. We were all sitting outside since the weather was pretty nice, everyone was pretty much minding there own business.

We placed our orders, and then we got our drinks 5 minutes later. Then something caught a few people’s eyes since a lot of people were turning their heads. I turned to look what was so in that direction, then I see a girl wearing body tight clothing from top to bottom in and low cut jeans, and extremely blond hair even beyond platinum. She was Kuwaiti from what we could tell but nobody had a clue. She had a decent body but wearing that sort of thing in Kuwait just attracts the wrong type of attention. Nobody said anything so we kept talking as we were, then she left and came back 10 minutes later with someone (family, friend, or other) who was also wearing body tight clothing and jeans, also huge blond hair. The main difference is that this girl/woman could easily be four times the other girl’s weight. You could see the look of shock on people’s faces, and again they all went back to what they were doing until she said something. Something looked off about her, and it showed later.

She was standing at the door of Pizza Express and her thinner friend walked inside, while she was standing at the door she shouted to her friend that this place isn’t happening and the food doesn’t fit her style. She said it out loud and in a very weird tone close to the table of 8 guys and our table, when she said it we laughed a bit. It was then that her friend pulled her into the Pizza Express and she started shouting nobody had a clue what was going on. She came outside and threw a glass at the table full of guys and it shatter close to one of them. He was lucky it didn’t hit him, everyone was in shock and she started cussing the guys out and then she turned to our table and started cussing us out as well. Then she started cussing out the table of girls as well, this woman went ballistic and her friend was holding her from one arm, if she wanted should could have easily flung her friend. At the other table the guys didn’t do anything and then the manager came out and tried to calm her down but still nothing was stopping her. Then an older women who could easily be her mother looked her in shock as she was walking into Pizza Express, then the girl turns around to the women and calls her a whore and daughter of a whore in more words then one, she was completely shocked.

At this point three police officers walked up to the two girls, but they didn’t do anything to them except calm them down a bit. They talked to them for over 25 minutes before they disappeared somewhere. Some people laughed at the whole thing, it was just nuts. I know I laughed, I couldn’t believe what I just saw and the guys were laughing too. The older woman asked the guys why they didn’t do anything, she saw everything this girl did, the guys said what can they do, they are girls, and they would never lower themselves to that level. What they did was right, and I thought that was the best possible reaction. The thing is when a women is that dirty, and she is prone to violence in Kuwait she is 10 times worse then any man who would even come close to that level. At least with a man you could take some action, what would you do with a woman like that.

*Note: This is the first time in four months I have gone out to eat dinner in Kuwait, no wonder I don’t go out for dinner in Kuwait.

Milcha… Milcha… Milcha.....

dsc02415.jpg

This was a pressure built up over the summer and over Ramadan, the next couple of weeks are filled with milchas (engagements) and I have a card for almost everyday for the next three weeks. It was an insane day, it felt like work because I just managed to get home and get a quick bite to eat before having to head out an hour later. When you have a milcha know there is going to be traffic where ever your heading because a lot of people are going to be invited there too. I met up with my family and headed to each one with them, except for the last one. You spend the first 10 – 20 minutes either waiting because of the amount of people or saying hello to people you haven’t seen in a while.

dsc02416.jpg

Its funny in Kuwait you have friends that you know well but because of work and other things taking up your time you don’t see them as often as you used to, so you start seeing them at all these milchas, one after the other. And no matter how organized the people are there is always going to be a huge amount of traffic. It was like running a marathon, and it was fun seeing people you haven’t seen in a while and just catching up. I’m just happy men just have to wear dishdashas it simplifies things for the guys having to run around.. These are things that I love about Kuwait, even though you are exhausted at the end of the day, its well worth it.

Halo 3 Marathon!...

halo3team.jpg

We were 6 players in total, 3 in one location and 3 at another. We were all playing online as one team in a Big 16 person battle, and sometimes we kicked ass and sometimes we had our asses kicked. Most times we did a lot of damage to others, we had a really diverse team with lots of explosions going off and people shouting left and right. It was insane, and fantastic really. Halo 3 is joining people of different interests all together for the best online gaming experience since Halo 2. Halo 3 really has surpassed both Halo 2 and the original Halo in its game play.

haloservicetag1.png

We had a bit of a lag problem in the beginning but that was rectified after connecting the wire directly to the back of the XBox 360 instead of using the wireless. The gaming was intense, team play was important and we really took over the game against insane odds. There isn’t enough hours in the day for us to play Halo 3, and work only gets in the way of our gaming. The only thing we stopped for was some food from McDonalds and later on some ice cream from 31 Baskin Robins.

Moonlighting...

248am.jpg

It seems my services have been needed and I will be moonlighting over at 248am.com for about 10 days. Mark has been banned from using the internet due to spousel requirements, and a few people have stepped in. I view Nibaq and K.theKuwaiti as my competition on their. Also I shall be causing havoc over there, Shawarmas will be thrown, there will be casualties.

Entertainment To-Do List...

movietheaterscreen.jpg

You always have things you want to do, but this is just an entertainment To-Do list that I want to go through but I just don’t get the time to do any of it.

  • Finish
    • Halo 3 three times
    • Stargate Atlantis Season 3
    • Prison Break Season 2
  • Watch
    • Friends Season 10
    • Joey Season 1 & 2
    • Las Vegas Season 3 & 4
    • Star Trek Enterprise Season 1 & 2
    • Battlestar Galactica Season 1 & 2
  • Watch my stock of Anime
    • Naruto
    • Bleach
    • Code Geass
    • Claymore
    • Gundam Seed Stargazer
    • DGray – Man
    • Initial – D (All of it)

This is a long list that would take a lot of time, and I know I’m leaving out a lot of anime and There isn’t enough time in the day to go through all of these. Its just a to do list to finish up, but I keep downloading more stuff to watch. I think I’m downloading faster then I’m watching stuff these days.

Pure Exhaustion...

sleep-deprived.jpg

The past couple of days I have dead tired by 6 or 7pm, I could barely keep myself awake. I don’t sleep after work because it feels like I’m going to pass out for at least 2 -3 hours because how I tired I am. I have waking up early for work and finishing up all that I need.

Then going to sleep at 9:30 pm is just perfect, even though I want to watch a lot of stuff that I have saved up I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore. A few more good nights sleep and I can go back to my normal sleeping schedule, which is basically very little.

A Needed Mini-Vacation...

cafelaptop.jpg

When you have long weekend sometimes you just want to relax and catch up with the smaller things, and that is what I managed to do on this mini-vacation. The weather was good, the streets weren’t too crowded, and I didn’t go out much since I had so much entertainment on tap to catch up with.

  • I managed to get a good amount of riding done, even though I should have done more.
  • I watch copious amounts of Anime.
  • I played Halo 3 as much as humanely possible but I’m still no where close the rankings of other players because they don’t seem to sleep and play on XBox Live non-stop.
  • Visited some family
  • Caught up with some TV, but not enough (Too much Halo 3)
  • I managed to watch some NFL late Sunday night, and I watched them all the way through.

I cleaned up a lot of things such CDs, papers, and all the things I don’t need to keep. I still have a lot to do, I was keeping papers for no reason really and they all started piling up. Its a lot more organized now then before but I want it cleaner.

Overall it was just a pleasant vacation, but some week too the rest of the 3 days off to go for a longer vacation somewhere. I don’t feel like traveling right now and I just wanted to enjoy the time doing the doing normal day to day tasks. I stayed up late most of the days either watching anime, or online, and there was one night of NFL but I still managed to do a few things in the afternoon.
