The tables have turned over the years, I remember growing up when the family would be giving us kids money. When we were very little we weren’t sure of the value but as growing up we really knew what we were getting. Now that I have been working for a little while I can’t help but give to the little kids. I always gave to kids that I did know and there were times there were a bunch of kids all together, and I would ask them who their parents were but I would give to all of them.
Some of those kids are so damn adorable and especially the way they dressed up. And if there are kids that are special to me I give a them a little extra. The nice part is seeing all these kids dressed up the same, you knew they were from the same family.

I met up with my cousin later on in the day and we had a relaxing time planned out. Our plan consisted mainly of Prison Break since we had to catch up, but that changed in our case. I showed up Halo 3 and he thought the single player was good, but then I told him lets play multiplayer. He wasn’t sure about it, but I told him he would like it. Before I knew it were playing for over an hour and he was addicted, its fantastic especially when you play on big teams of 8 vs. 8. There were some games we didn’t know what exactly how to plan it out or what the rules are but we played as we went along which was great. He got better literally exponentially (He was really bad in the beginning). It was really a hell of a lot of fun, and you could easily lose days playing that game because its so addicting.

We also managed to get a movie in and watch a few episodes of Prison Break Season 2. Since last year due to some complications we held off on finishing Prison Break but over the next couple of weeks were are going to finish it for sure. Riding by day, and gaming by night this is a nice vacation.

Its funny how the first day of Eid went, it was a very nice day but ran around quite a bit.
Started off going to Eid Prayer after getting a few hours of sleep.
Then played Halo 3 for a two hours before passing out for two hours, and then I got up at 10am and headed to see some family.
I managed to go and visit about 6 houses in total in a few different areas, and it was one hell of a fun drive in between all of them. I manage to get a rassberry frapacino as I am going between family because I really wanted one during the day.
I loved driving fast in the semi-empty roads since a lot of people were still asleep.
I got home by 2 pm to go to someone’s house for lunch, and I finished up around 4:10pm to head home and go for some quality riding.
I got on the bike by 4:25pm and I was out going nuts on the roads, with the beautiful weather and sunny feeling.
Got home by 6:00pm, took a shower and went straight to the basement for a solid 3 hours of Halo 3 Multiplayer, and I was very happy with my performance! A friend joined up with me on Halo 3 online, I kept him with me on Halo 3 teams while I would rip people to shreds, I’m damn good at this game! I don’t always win but I’m always number 2 or 1!
Then watched a movie with a friend and had some pizza, then I ended the night with some anime and Gossip Girl!
A real full day of entertainment, it really did feel like a good day!

First off Eid Mubarak people.
This really only happens in Eid, everyone goes into a frenzy doing something. I found out it was Eid from my barber, he gave me a call telling me it was Eid tomorrow and to come by asap. It was 6:40pm, and I waited for prayer before heading out around 7:10pm on the bike over to the barber. The streets were insane, I thought it would be relatively empty like the days during Ramadan. The traffic would start usually around 8:00pm but I was mistaken and there was lots of traffic.
I was really enjoying myself during this ride with the cool weather but everyone was just insane. I could tell at least 30 – 40 cars were squeezing the middle lane on purpose so that I couldn’t get through and it was really annoying me but I was thinking let me get through this traffic calmly and then I take off from all these idiots.
I got to the barber and I had two cold 7-ups because it felt damn good to drink a cold drink. Really hit the spot, and my barber had so many customers. Because its one day early everyone wanted to be fresh for the next day, I didn’t really mind but he told me to come by since he won’t be sleeping because of so many appointments. I got a quick shave and cut, 13 mins I was out and ready to go! Now that was quick, 3 min head shave and 10 min work on the goatee, and I found that to be funny.
What a start to the Eid weekend, I’m just happy I could take a break from work for a little while. But I have a feeling that something is going to creep up on me. That aside this is going to be a nice Eid vacation and the weather is getting nicer which is good.

I have huge piles of motorcycle, off-road, computer, and technology magazines that I haven’t read over the past couple of months. I also find it very hard to throw away old magazines that might have reviews or technical information that I find useful. This doesn’t include the piles of CDs, Books, and DVDs that I have, but the magazines have been going overboard. Recently I decided to sit down and flip through magazines to really see why I’m keeping them. Over the past few days I have gotten rid of at least 17 magazines which is pretty good to start with.
If I find some article or items that they have reviewed that I would like to keep, I would go online find the same information and bookmark it for later reference and then I get rid of that said magazine. Things are cleaning up but I have ways to go, and I think during this vacation I will do a lot of in room cleaning and storage. I need reorganize all the mini piles I have all over the room, and get rid of all the CDs that I can digitize but for now I’m going through the magazines.

It was just one of those times where I needed to go to the barber. It has been a hell of a lot of things popping up for work, family, and other things over the past couple of weeks and I haven’t been to the barber for at least three weeks. A shaved head is something simple but the difficult part is the goatee and cleaning it up right. I haven’t shaved for a while so the beard was really annoying, and getting very prickly so I knew something needed to be done but time was an issue.

Then Wednesday night right after isha prayer I called the barber and told him I’m coming right over and I don’t mind waiting if he has someone on the seat when I get there. It was one of those times where I needed a break from all the things I was doing and the barber was the perfect venue. I got there and I was happy to find lots of parking, and I went straight to my usual seat. I was happy to be in my seat, the familiarity felt fantastic and I was happy thinking about the feeling after the shave. As soon as he started shaving my head I felt the comfort of having a clean top, and I was feeling good that this prickly annoying beard was going to banished for another week to 10 days. The whole thing was really relaxing, I even told him to take his time since I was in no hurry and I only had to be somewhere later. One thing is for sure, it felt damn good once he was done. I even drove home feeling good from the cool breeze hitting my clean face from the open windows.

I was tired after futoor so I decided to take a quick nap before having to go to some social obligations. I thought I could at least get in two hours of sleep before heading out. I asked my brother to wake me up when he gets back from prayer, and I put the alarm to wake me up after an hour and a half. It was a mistake, I won’t be repeating anytime soon.
I only got an hour worth of sleep before my brother got back and started his wake-up tactics. At first he told me to get up I told give me 20 minutes, and I will be up. I didn’t receive those precious twenty minutes, instead a ball was bounced off my head, and pictures were taken with the flash one, and he tried pulling the covers which is the worst thing to do. I thought that was it, until he was telling me again to wake up and I felt cold water being poured on my head and went down my neck. My system went into shock, but I was so damn tired that I didn’t even bother to react. I got up after that point to head out, but to say I was a tired zombie while sitting in the car was an understatement.

We are two thirds through Ramadan right now, and it feels like its flying by. The one thing very different about this Ramadan is the heat, I got used to the cool Ramadans of the past. A lot of people are even saying they won’t be in Kuwait during the next Ramadan because of the heat, now thats going to be interesting for sure. A lot of people will be flooding to Lebanon during that time for sure since its much cooler and nice during the hot periods in Kuwait.
One thing I am happy about is the change of weather and how things are cooling off a bit these days. Its nice to be outside albeit a little humid but still its nice sitting outside. I may have to switch on my boiler after keeping it off all summer long so that I may use hot water again, these days its lukewarm.

Now the question going around the question of the day is what is your Eid plans. It seems that this holiday during Eid is long enough to take the whole week off so people are making plans and they want to go to different destinations. Most flights to Egypt, UAE, and Lebanon are pretty booked, and it seems the majority are going to these places for their vacation and everyone is trying to take some time off. I like Kuwait when its empty so that I may enjoy some riding, and there might be some scuba diving plans if I can get my Padi license in time but its going to be tight.

This has been one of those strange chill weekends, I’m still getting used to the idea of having a two day weekend. Its been a while since I’ve had two day weekends so when it comes to the weekend I think I have one day off, then the next one turns out to be off, great! This weekend was the weekend of qabgaat, there were lots of them and we were running between them, and it was great seeing a lot of friends and catching up. There was one qabgah where I spent over 45 minutes at the door just saying hello to people who I kept seeing at the door and it was a lot of people for sure.

I managed to get some sleep on Friday, and then I had to go to some meeting on Saturday morning and night for other work, and it was a bit exhausting. In between all that I managed to watch my shows and enjoy them thoroughly. It was a bit of a multimedia weekend as well, I managed to sort through a lot of TV shows and Anime, and move them to the NAS (Network Area Storage) since I completed them from a little while ago, and freeing up some space. Organizing my data is always a good thing, I feel I have made an accomplishment, but I’m in need of a large hard drive for my HTPC but since Ramadan started its been difficult to go to Hawally. The traffic isn’t during the day but right after futoor all the way to 11:00pm and I really dislike traffic. So I’m just sorting things from my end on the PCs and also sorting through all the things in my immediate area.
Also the weather has been getting better and better over the past couple of days. Its making me want to ride very much, and the cool breeze is an amazing feeling.

So after looking around for a good work phone I decided to go with the HTC Touch because of my requirements and the features of the HTC Touch fit my requirements.
Some people were asking me why I didn’t get the Apple instead of this, I think the main reason I would be too entertained by it. A few other reasons is that there is no Arabic Support, I have to use a third party software to integrate with Outlook, and its a bit bigger then what I need.
