I had a rediculous amount of meetings today, but I was looking forward to having some of my friends and coworkers over after work. We all came straight from work, it was funny we were all tired but looking forward to a relaxing night. We were all talking to each other about work, but we had a few things we wanted to do and at the top of the list was play some Risk. But we also popped some Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires into the Xbox 360 and once we got into that it didn’t stop it was nonstop strategizing and fighting, decisions, and then we ate a little and decided to play some risk.

Playing Risk was hilarious since I was pissing some people off because of my erractic tactics, but I was enjoying that the most. I didn’t care if I was to win or lose it was just entertaining watching them getting worked up about me! hehehe! We were all laughing at the different reactions we were getting from people with American Dad playing in the background. As soon as a few of us were out, we got Dynasty Warriors going again, while people were playing Risk it was a good night, we needed it.

And I’m currently downloading 720p episodes of 24 and Prison Break! I can’t wait!

Last night I was operating on low battery, its like when your phone keeps beeping for a charge but you keep it on and you keep making phone calls. I picked up a lot of movies last night from Hawally, so I found a new guy who is got some clear movies and I always ask for DVD copies. The one thing about that area in Hawally is that there really is no parking, and its like a bumper car situation, two cars bumped me and both were women drivers and I was parked! I didn’t care and told them to go ahead since I knew the landcruiser would be fine. So I flew home to meet up with Mark to watch 24 before the guys get there.

I have to say that this episode pissed me off in a good way! This where things get interesting, there are multiple story lines developing throughout the story and you don’t know where any of them are going to lead, and there are a few people that I hate in the show and I want to kick their ass. There is nothing more that I can say, I want to see the next episode!

Then we watched a few movies, but it seemed everyone was tired and I was the one staying up even though I got the least amount of sleep, maybe its because I wanted to watch the movie.  The dinner was the funny part, everyone ripped through it which surprised me, I kept going at the fried shrimp with the “special sauce.” And my cousin kept eating Kubbah with lebnah, there was also a good amount of chicken so everyone was eating. And everyone had to leave early because of work, but only a few of us remained to watch the other movie. It was a good chill night, but I think I will be relaxing only a little this weekend.

I have been running around a bit from work, and I got home around 5pm and I had a late lunch and I had to leave by 6:30pm to go to a family event at my Uncle’s place and I like my Uncle a lot! So I was there for about an hour and then I had to go to a good friend’s Milcha at the Sheraton and so I left and got there around 8:30pm and I stayed there for 45mins! I was really happy for the guy since he is really a good man and the girl is lucky to get such a nice and good guy, and his family is very nice too. Inshalla alah kaatibluhum kil khair!

At that Milcha a friend and myself got really hungry and I really didn’t feel like eating at a buffet so we decided to go get a bite to eat somewhere close which isn’t crowded and we went straight for The Burger Hub next to Al Seef Palace. I have never been there before but I always pass by. My friend knew the owner who was behind the counter in a chefs clothing. I am extremely happy and supportive of businesses which are started by entreprenuers and they put their heart into it. He went into the kitchen when it was getting crowded and I have to say that is one of the tastiest burgers I have had in Kuwait, medium rare slowly cooked with the right amount of condements! Nothing overwhelming the other, it was great. The french fries was good too, and there were a lot of other burgers but I wasn’t sure what to choose so I chose a regular cheese burger with grilled onions cooked until medium rare and it was perfect. It disappeared from my hands quickly and it was very juicy! I’m just happy that there are people who are willing to put some real effort into their business and I hope more people start business like him in Kuwait.

Then Im home watching some Black Lagoon to finish up the good series soon.

I got a call this morning around 4 am and it had a distinct ringtone so I thought it would be important. I picked up the phone to find out a friend of mine had been in an accident. So of course I call up my friend who is still under the influence of morphine and vicoden at home watching 24. I asked for details and what the hell happened.

He was walking out of work into the company parking lot, its an open parking lot shared between two buildings which is a Biotech company (his) and HSBC. He was walking just stepped off from the side walk and his coworkers and friends were waiting for him in the car to go to lunch. As he stepped off the side walk into the parking lot a car came flying down road and over his foot and he hit his face on the windshield while the sideview mirror threw him to the side. All he could rememer was his face getting hit and nothing else. His foot was fractured and not broken, his ribs are bruised, and he has a very fat lip from the windshield which bled a lot. He was taken to the hospital and the police were all over the place. The doctor said he was lucky his foot didn’t shatter because that bone is really strong, but it will take him a while to recover.
Now for the driver, she was driving over 25 mph in a 5 mph parking lot in a Audi A6 2004 model. She has had 4 prior written warnings from security for speeding in the parking lot and she was banned from parking in the parking lot, but some how she was parked in there that day. He was crossing in a cross walk area which gave him the right of way and he didn’t even see her when looking around for any cars.

At this point I was happy that he was at home watching 24 and all drugged up, and I even think he saw the episodes already but that can only help him. This all happened in San Diego so I know that the driver will have nice lawsuit on her hands. I’m just happy he is ok and it could have been much worse but I’m happy he is going to sue. I’m just really pissed at that women, but it made me happy that he sounded ok, and was more then happy to watch 24 for a couple of hours. This all took place in San Diego.

FYI: He was walking and she was in the car. 

My friend Nate called me up a week before Christmas saying he found something for me and wanted to send it to me. So I gave him my mailbox and completely forgot about it. He said its something that will make me laugh when I see it. And as time when by I completely forgot about it. When I came back from work today I saw a box and I literally had no clue what it was. So I looked at the sender address and it said South San Francisco and I remembered that this must be Nates box. I was extremely curious to what in the box so I ripped it open only to find something that made me bust up laughing.

It was a statue of A.W.E.S.O.M-O, its a show in series four of South Park where Cartman convinces Butters that he is a real robot and he should be his best friend. He wants to be his best friend so that he can take a video that Butters has of Cartman playing as woman and jumping a Justin Timberlake cardboard stand! I was laughing so hard fromm that! It reminded me of my college years, and we used to watch South Park during breaks or in between shows since it was so short and damn funny. It takes a specific sense of humor to enjoy South Park, and I loved especially watching with my friends! I can’t thank Nate enough for making me laugh and remind me of the good old days! I dont think I will take AWESOM-O out of the box! It will remain on my shelf! or maybe I will!

The desert is a beautiful place! We went to a bunch of our friends at a Mokhayam (Camp grounds) which they setup a couple of days before Eid. This was the first day of the year going to our friends mokhayam for lunch. 1/1/2007. I have to say that day was a beautiful day, it was cold and sunny with a cold breeze. I was driving my landcruiser with some good music, and then when we had to turn to the sand area with no roads I drove that SUV like a rally car! It was a lot of fun!

I have to say that camping does take a good amount of preparation, and the guys have a really good job of organizing the whole thing. They even put up a volleyball net, but it was too damn cold to play. Some people brought their buggies, I got on a yamaha Banshee for the first time in a while and I remembered why I enjoyed that machine so much. Flying around in the sand it was a fantastic experience! I really enjoyed it riding in the dirt! There was also some skeet shooting going on, and they even had this machine which would launch the discs. I have to say that the guys took care of all the necessary activities. And there was a nice hot duwa in the middle of the main khaymah (tent) which they were using to make the tea and that was some damn good tea. They showed me a little gadget which is used to get the temperature and other weather details and the lowest it had was 0 degrees on 31/12/2006. It must have been damn cold on other nights as well.

Need a break! Time to relax in front of the water! Away from too many things! So I decided to head towards the water!
So Im meeting up with some friends to have some fun in the sun! Even those of them who work at the banks! hehehe! Some of my friends are going to work and coming straight back from the shalaih!

That means nonstop water and tv! I wonder how cold or hot the ocean is right now! How great is this, its towards the end of October and you can still swim!  And ofcourse Im going to take a million pictures!

This is just a funny picture of my friend Hamdy in the states modeling a helmet I bought in september while I was there! Its a great helmet from Scorpion and the eyes thing weirds people out! Its the Scorpion Rivet in Silver! It looks better in real life because of the non-glossy look! I love it! And it was funny as hell that he was walking around in it all day long!

And yes thats my Seagate Hard Drive on the table.

Hamdy is my best motorcycle riding partner! We have been riding bikes together for the past 5 years! He knows how I ride, and I know how he rides! He is also one of my closest friends! Good times! Cant wait to go riding with him again!

After this long week I just wanted some time to enjoy myself. Friday is my day to relax with my friends even though I have work thursday. And this thursday is probably the busiest, but I didnt care I just wanted to clear my mind of everything work related or required for me to think. I wanted to just chill and enjoy myself. I got my hands on some Krispy Kreme, I not sure how exactly but I saw it at home when I got back from futoor and decided to take it. And when my friends saw it, people complained that it has too much calories but they still kept eating. It was a good time to start off. I wish others could have made it, but they had their own reasons for not making it, hopefully next time.

Me and my friend started off by playing some Halo 2 while waiting for the others to arrive. And he wanted to challenge me and I told him he is out of his mind. Im pretty good at Halo I know there are those who are better out there, but I have yet to meet one in Kuwait. Only time will tell, but after winning 25-1 we decided to play a Co-op game which turned out to be more fun.

Then when more people showed up we watch two pretty good movies and got some kubah, samboosak, mini-pizzas, mini-za’atar sandwichs, mini-cheese sandwichs, and labnah all over the place. It was pretty light and we were all just laughing at some of the parts in the movie. People coming and people going, but we managed to finish two movies and it was a relaxing night, even though I know I have to be up at 7 am I dont care. I enjoyed the night and its 1:30am. Aaah Goodtimes! Ramadan Mubarak people! Smile today is a good day!

I got up after taking a nap. I wanted to get there by 9pm. I checked mp3 player, put on the underarmor for my legs, then the jeans. I went down stairs to the batcave! Put my jacket on, then switched on the bike, put the helmet on and gloves. Made sure my mp3 player was working right.

Then I rode off into the night! The weather wasnt too bad, at least I wasnt feeling the heat which burns. But as long as I kept moving it was cool. I took the 5th ring road which was filled with traffic and I was flying through it, trying to get through slowly and without being hit! It was like a obstcale course! I was happy that it was flowing! And Nibaq mentioned that he saw me flying through traffic! hehehe!

Got to the starbucks fashionably late because of traffic, parked the bike in front of starbucks. Got down, ordered a cool drink went upstairs to the 248am Meet. And a decent number of people showed up, and last put some faces to names. It was fun, but we need to do it earlier next time! Not enough time to sit with everyone and get to know them. It was pretty cool, and enjoyable. Then when I was leaving, I gave Nat a quick ride hitting about 220 Kph on the road between traffic, and I think she liked the rush. And I will give Mark a ride at another time! Great to meet everyone, hope to meet up again!

The ride back was fun since I took the sea side the whole way back, and everytime I passed a van or suv full of kids they would stare at the stop light or wave like crazy when Im passing by, and I always wave back. It was nice and cool for once for a bit! Maybe the humidity helped a bit! At the last light before heading home this suv full kids wanted to see me take off so I had to oblige with a light wheelie, and then I got home parked the bike and cleaned my visor. Took off my gear, showered and time to pass out!
