Laid Back Couple...

Image087.jpg

What is the usual couple like in Kuwait? I was wondering that because a few people I know are married or getting married. And some of these people are bit free or a bit conservative just differing on a few things. But for the first time the other day I went over to my friend’s apartment who is newly married and his wife as out so it was safe for us to come over! Hehehe! His place was nice and simple, it needs a little bit more furniture or some simple accessories but that’s the best part! Going around and picking these things are fun in my opinion.
When I was in Marina mall on Friday around 1pm it was so much fun seeing normal people, and lots of couples without the usual riff raff that I try to avoid. I was pleased to see that it felt like a normal place unlike the usual packed full of guys type mall. And everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and it felt like I wasn’t in Kuwait for a bit! So I think I will be visiting at these times if I wasn’t at the Beach! I’m happy to see things like this because it gives a sense of normalcy in the hectic life of a couple in Kuwait. Whenever I see two newlyweds together going out, and doing stuff it’s really cool. A friend of mine got married about 4 years ago now, and sometimes I see him and his wife at Johnny Rockets and they are have a good time. With people like this in Kuwait there is always hope things will improve.

Messy Morning!...

So I’m off to a messy start. I woke up this morning tired as hell, because I just couldn’t get off the computer at night! I watched three episodes of Blood + (anime), and I just wanted to know what the hell was going to happen next and I have about 23 episodes I haven’t seen. But after I saw that it was 2:00am I knew I had to sleep to get up at 7:00am. I went to bed started reading my book, and I think I passed out around 2:30am.

When I woke up this morning it was hard as hell to move, my brain was issuing commands but nobody was acknowledging them! I was in a dilemma, but I also had this weird urge to have a mango. I don’t know why but I wanted a mango for breakfast, so I forced myself out of bed and went hunting for a mango when my eyes were still not used to the sun light! And I found one, went back to my room like Smeegal (Lord of the Rings), and just destroyed the mango, but I also put one in my pocket hehehehee. And I went at that one as well, to say that things got messy is an understatement! Its as if I woke up from a trance, and I was thinking “what the hell am I doing”. I got in the shower and I was laughing at how I was acting in the morning. And went to work, now that I am at work I got a lot of things done and I felt very productive. So then I was thinking I could probably go to Safat Alghanim and check out a few electronics and nobody would really miss me, just when I was thinking of leaving I get a call telling me I have to go to a meeting at 12:30pm! Damn it!!!! Almost escaped!! hehehehe!

Drive Out!...

Sunlights.jpg

Holy Crap today its hot as hell!! Its windy and sand storms everywhere! All these posters for the candidates have fallen into the streets! Its insane! I thought the temperature might go down because of the wind and sand storms, but I was wrong!!! It was 48C in the car when I was driving just now!!! Its getting hot! Damn! I have the A/C in the landcruiser at full while I waited inside the office for the car to cool down a bit! The steering wheel was still hot, but driveable! Im going to retint the car and this time Im going to tint the windshield! Instead of the cheap stuff I have on it right now! This is rediculous!

Usernames! Confused!...

Ed---Ein-Fall.jpg

I have so many usernames and passwords, that I get really confused! The other day I was thinking and total came to about 26 different usernames and passwords. And I am so paranoid about security that I change them every couple of months. And then when I want to access certain places I havent been to in couple of weeks, it takes me a couple of trys and then I might need to do a password change and end up forgetting that new password! I wonder how many people go through this.

And I dont like using the automated login for Firefox or other programs, because I think someone will get to it. And on top of that I will really forget the passwords! I have been thinking about writing them down, but then that means somebody could find it. It keeps going round and round. What solutions have you guys used? I might try a different combination of things.

Review: Dr. Abdul Mohsin M. Jafar...

Why:

I was cleaning my ears with the ear buds after taking a shower, but I pushed a little too far in. So I felt a weird feeling and stopped what I was doing hoping it would go away. I just felt this uncomfortable feeling around my left ear. So I went about my day and everything was good. The next day I went swimming in the pool and everything seemed to be ok. At one point I went under water and tried to go deep, and when I did that I suddenly felt as if somebody kicked me in the head. I couldnt move because of the pain in my head while I was under water. I was about two meters under water, and I felt as I couldnt move. I knew at that point I need to get up. So I did, and I could feel the pain in the left side of my head and around my left jawline. My family was around the house and I didnt want to bother them so I just said I was tired, because it showed that something was wrong but I didnt want anyone to worry. I went to my room and didnt see anything coming out of my ear, and I could still hear from both ears, but I was worried. And I asked my family if they knew a good ear doctor and I asked my friends. Next day my friend got back to me and told me Dr.Abdulmohsin Jafar is a good doctor that his mother went to before and some other members of his family. So I decided to go.

Waiting Room:

So I found out that he is open from 11am to 1pm and 4:30pm to 8:30pm at a private clinic in She’ib. I came into the waiting room which isnt too big, but there are comfotable leather seats, not too soft but better then the plastic seats in hospitals. About 13 seats in total and there were four people before me. There is no appointments. Its a first come first serve basis, and it did go as first come first serve with no problems. I got there 4:45pm but I didnt get to see the doctor until 6pm. I had to pay a first time registration fee of 20 KD which was fine with me. There is water located in the waiting room, tv, and some magazines, but your better off bringing your own reading material.

Doctor Meeting:

When I went in the doctor was very nice, and he is scruffy look. He is a bit short and greying hair, but a young guy. Very nice attitude when talking to him. He was educated in Canada and certified in the UK and the US. So he is fluent in arabic and english. His english is american, so anyone can go to him. We went to the examination room, and he put a long tube in my right ear to see the healthy ear and then from there he looked at the left ear. I told him everything I did and what happened with the swimming. He told me my ear drum isnt damaged at all, the left one was just irritated. But the pain was caused because the I push the wax down to the inner tube and it expanded under pressure from swimming. That is what causing the pain, but the pain in my jaw line might be because of an infection. He told me he usually puts a liquid to help shrink the wax, and tells the patient to come the next day. But he will try helping me now, and if he cant he will put a liquid and I should come the next day. He proceeded to do what he does, and I felt some pain which he told me I will, and he was talking me through it. And he explained to me everything he was doing. And I was extremely happy he helped me and got everything cleared. I lost my balance for about 3 mins which he told me would happen. I felt the pain decrease dramatically! Just a little pain left, but at least I could think with a clear head. I would recommend anyone with any ear problems to go to this doctor!! And I paid another 20 KD for the consultation thats it. I would have paid anything to make the pain go away!

Dr. Jafar is an Ear, Nose, & Throat specialist. He also performs Facial Plastic Surgery, but not at his clinic. He performs the surgery at Muwasaat hospital or Al Haady Hospital. In the waiting there were 4 girls who had nose jobs, but I dont know if they look good or not, because they had their face completely covered so I couldnt judge his work. But everyone seemed to be happy with the doctor’s work form this point of view.

Location:

He is in a building which is extremely easy to get to. He is in She’ib. Go on fahaheel Express way keep Qadsiya Club on your left, and Sheikh Sa’ads house on your right, and the first right after the bridge after Qadsiya club its the first building on your left. You really cant miss it. And its a first come first serve basis.

My Morning...

Things have been interesting the past couple of days.. I have had an ear problem which has been solved yesterday thanks to good doctor that I will be talking about later. But before I was sleeping around 11:00pm and I was having a hell of a time getting up at 7:00am.. I barely could drage myself out by 7:45am to shower and go to work by 8:30! I thought I was getting a decent amount of sleep! Then last night I spent hours upon hours surfing online and I completely forgot about the time until I saw 2:10am! I just kept looking for more deals for things i didnt need! And when I alarm went off today I was suddenly fresh at 7:00am! I wasnt tired at all, I felt real good and I even managed to watch some anime before going to work. Now thats a nice start to the day!

Golden Eye!!...

goldeneyes.JPG

On the plane to London. I can’t believe I was watching James Bond: Golden Eye!! Now this movie brings back memories. This was one of the best Bond movies! The old computer screens, they were huge! And Pierce Brosnan is the man! From the scene in Severnaya I wanted to look for my N64 and start playing with 4 players! The exchange between Bond and Moneypenny is fantastic! And that’s the first time I saw the z3 back in its golden days! And how could I forget Onotopp! And the scene in the bathroom with her and Bond! Hehe! The whole movie feels like I’m going through the N64 game its fantastic! I remember playing a lot to unlock the characters in the multiplayer part of Golden Eye!

n64-GoldenEye007s.JPG

And who remembers the rumble pack! I used to always run out of batteries!! I always wanted to be the little midget because he was so hard to hit! I was damn good at that game! Because of playing that game so much it has prepared me for the likes of Halo 1 and Halo 2! Which Im pretty good at too! I remember I had all the maps and location of weapons memorized! hehe

My Office and Birds...

I am sitting here in my office having one of those quick meetings with people in and out of the office. Catching up with work and so on. But recently over the past couple of days birds seem to love my window or they are delirious from the heat. Im not sure which!

Im sitting here and then suddenly a bird comes flying into my window, and he gets back up and starts pecking at the window. I feel sorry for these birds, and the windows are reflective to keep some heat out. Maybe its because of the reflectiveness of the windows, but it has happened too often. Twice on sunday and once on monday! I feel for these birds, but some of them act real funny after each visit! And yesterday was a pegion which looked like he had a screw or two loose. Adventures to continue!

Apple Store in NYC...

Since I was in New York for a bit I wanted to go see the new Apple Store. And I was lucky, by chance I was there for the opening, but I thought I would avoid the lines and go a few days later! It is one of the most unique stores I have seen. Your going underground, but you dont feel like your underground. And at the time I was there the elevator got stuck with the people in it so I couldnt even use the cool looking elevator!

I dont have any apple products, but damn that MacBook looked good! And they were selling a lot of them, but the problem is the price they charge for upgrading! I was thinking of getting the black MacBook and upgrading the ram, but they wanted to charge 300 for an upgrade to 1 Gig Ram! I thought that was rediculous, but still it was hard not to buy the MacBook!! The Matt Black MacBook just looked so cool! And the place was huge! I just playing around with different Macs, and enjoying the atmosphere! You could hear music bouncing around in every direction and every type of music! Sometimes you feel the ground shake from some of the sound system that people were buying! And the lines at the cashiers were crazy! You have to wait a while to buy something! And I havent ever seen so many accessories in one place! It was huge! And all the apple people flying all over the place answering questions, and there was an area in the back called the genius bar if I remember correctly and they were working on the apple products and I think explaining to people how to use different things! Now thats an Apple Store!! If your ever in New York City then its really worth a visit! Pictures are worth a thousand words so I got a lot pictures!!

To say this place was packed is an understatement!
