We waited until my cousin finished his mission in World of Warcraft Crusades, he had his guild and playing with his group so he couldn’t leave in mid-mission! So we were already off to a late start. I was starving and he said he would be done by 4:00pm but he didn’t finish until 4:40pm since they were having a tough time with this one boss, but they got him in the end.
Then we went down and we started off with Prison Break Season 2 from the beginning, and I only had enough time to burn the first four episodes to dvd, and I also burnt episodes 11 and 12 of Heroes to DVD.
Prison Break was nothing short of insane! So many characters, so many people screwing up and things going in different directions yet leading to one place! I have no clue where all this is going to go, but one thing is for sure this is one insane season and I was at the edge of my seat! I’m already burning more episodes to DVD to be ready for our next session and to watch as many as possible.
Heroes is still driving me mad! I want to see more, this one episode a week thing is just too much! I need to see what the hell is happening and how is it all connected, I can’t see all the lines, where are there more superheroes and when do they come in! Who is the bad guy!
And we ate a ton of Chinese food (Chicken noodles, Shrimp noodles, Some Special Chicken, and Vegetable Fried rice), we ate too much for our own good. Later on in the night we managed to get some 31 Baskin Robins from the one in Khaldiya but the odd thing is that didn’t have Orange Sherbert which I was really feeling so we went with Chocolate Chip for me, and everyone else had their own order.
What a night, after that I have to go back to the gym again!

I love how in Smallville they are giving the small hints of Clark having something for Lois! And Lana is getting on my nerves because she is only causing Clark trouble! Lois is so freaking and hot and I love her attitude, smart kick ass woman! Not much more you can ask for, and its her attitude which is great. And that is why she seems to be knocking Superman of his feet and leaving him speechless at times. I did get motivation to workout after riding my bike but I got more motivation after watching the YouTube video and I love the song!!

It was a good nite relaxing with the guys. It seemed everybody was exhausted from this week, I dont know what happened this week but it just feels like it drained me. Relaxing and laughing with the guys is what I needed!
I waited to watched the HD version of 24 episode 5 with Mark today since I knew he would be getting off work and coming directly over. We started it as soon as we got going! This is one insane episode of one thing after another! I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t seen it, but all I have to say is that I am going nuts and I need to see the next episode! I can’t take this anymore! I need to see more! Jack is going into his history and he is ripping things apart, I just dont know where they are going to take it next!!!!!
After that I made everyone watch Snakes on Plane, everyone had an opinion about the movie but nobody had saw it and that made me want to watch it more, maybe I was just being stubborn but its funny to me seeing people who can’t watch a bit of a thriller movie and especially when they don’t like snakes. They wouldn’t even look at the screen sometimes and tried to carry normal conversations it was hilarious, especially over dinner they thought it was too much with the snakes. I find Samuel L. Jackson to be funny especially when he is shouting! So it was entertaining for me over all!
It was a good night with a bunch of friends and relaxing, so hopefully we will be back into the routine and catching up with movies.
I finished up all the things I needed for the day and I took a nap before settling down in the basement to watch 24.
All I have to say is that I am in complete and utter shock! There isn’t any words that could convey my feelings towards 24! In the beginning to took all I had not to shed a tear for Jack Bauer!
This is the best start to any season I have ever seen. Things just went in ways you couldn’t even expect. I thought season 5 was the best season, but the way this has started I have no clue where it will go! It is going to drive me nuts waiting week to week to watch the episodes, but I will do what I have to do. Im just happy I waited a bit to see it so I could watch the next episode when it is released later in the day. I’m currently spending time at the 24fanclub.com to pick up a few items which I need for 24, and things I just want to have around.

Since the introduction of Tivo it has become common place to find DVRs in home, so much so that Comcast and Dishnetwork began integrating into their system for a little while as well now. The best part about buying this type of hardware is watching the shows on your time and not yours. I loved skipping advertisements, I remember buying my tivo back in 2000 and being able to modify it! It had a great system where you could skip all the ads and I loved that, also I started watching more tv because I could record whatever I wanted to watch and do something else! After reading the interesting article from Engadget it seems that people tend to watch non-scripted shows such as American Idol and the Bachelor live, and they like recording scripted shows such as House, and Arrested Development.
The reason they are saying that DVRs is killing television is because you don’t have to endure a bad show after the show you were watching, your DVR could switch and record something else so the bad shows which used to go after good shows used to get good ratings, but now they aren’t even getting a chance to get on its feet without good ratings right away. So the DVRs are giving bad shows no chance, but we shall see what effect it will have over time, but one thing they don’t take into consideration is the effect of a good show. One example of that would be family guy, it did so well with DVD sales that it brought the series back to television.

I have heard people giving reasons left and right why they should have things equiped at 1080i or 720p. I want to give a simple breakdown whats good for what. The main assumption when viewing either format is that your screen has a ratio of 16:9 which is optimal for either resoltuion. This is less of techinical breakdown and more for practical usage.
720P:
It has 720 lines progressivly scanned to the frame, so you see a total of 720 lines from the picture in front of you. Most sports broadcasts which are in HD are set at 720P because it shows fast moving motion very clearly. So for sports events, games, and high paced action games your better off at setting your machine to output at 720P.
1080i:
It is 1080 lines interlaced to produce a very beautiful image. The slight issue with 1080i is that HDTV sets must de-interlace the input to put it to screen. It all depends how well your screen can handle that process to produce the right image. For slow movies, and images 1080i is superior to 720P, but it may not be the best choice for movies with too much motion.
Now that 1080P is slowly becoming standard on the new LCD and Plasma screens all you have to make sure is that your DVD player and other electronic products output at that level. Even for DVDs which aren’t outputing at 1080P the screen resolution will look better overall.

This coming week is the real New Years day! Jack is coming back! At last there is a reason to live from week to week! There is only a few days left until 24 airs on Sunday and Monday. Its going to be a 4 hour season premiere between the two days and I really just can’t wait!
I know the show has been leaked but I would rather wait for it to come out that week and see it in HD format. I want to keep up with the normal place, and its all about loyalty to Jack! How could you watch the leaked version and still be a fan of Jack Bauer! Thats not possible! Long live Jack! Those who are true fans will wait for the right time! I dont know what else can happen after all this! Its going to be good! If anyone says otherwise, then they won’t be around for long.
From my previous tv series post people have recommended to me some really interesting shows so I have started downloading these series in Full. I have about 10 – 12 GBs to download so I have left my connection take full advantage of the country being empty at this point. Im also updating the list of episodes from other series if more were released.
If I’m not riding I will be watching some of these tv shows. So its going to be interesting to say the least!
