I have made the decision never to buy HDD based MP3 players at all, they just don’t work for me. A day before traveling my MP3 player seemed to be acting funky. I use my mp3 player all the time, when I travel, when I ride, and I plug it into my car stereo system. I assume this machine has been shaken around too much, I kept hearing something but I wasn’t sure even when I put my ear to it.
Then the thing just crashed and reset which was surprising, it seemed ok I thought it was just a software crash. When I tried loading some music back on it was going fine until 40% into the transfer, then it just froze. Then I heard the magic sound, which is a “clicking” sound which means the hard drive has crashed.
There has always been an argument about HDD and Flash based MP3 Players, and with this development I have decided not to buy any HDD based MP3 Player, or to really avoid them. Now I’m on the look out for a decent size Flash based MP3 Player and the Flash Drives have grown over the past couple of years.

I was driving to work in the morning as usual, everything was normal, people on the road who have no clue how to drive and just chugging along. Half way to work I something felt very wrong with the Landcruiser, and I knew that my brake pads must have ran out, it felt like metal on metal with a vibration going through the brakes. I didn’t have time to go a garage so I headed straight to work and as I was shifting I noticed the emergency brake coming on towards the end of my shift.
I remembered from last time if that comes out then I need an oil and oil filter change. So I had to do a few maintenance things to the vehicle to make sure all is good. I didn’t have time except in the afternoon to drop off the car. After dropping it off they called me 10 minutes later asking me how the hell I was driving the car, I told “Very Carefully”. Slowing down was a combination of light braking and a lot of down shifting to get where I need. They called me later telling me they replaced everything and they had to resurface the rotors and if it doesn’t feel completely right I might have to replace the rotors at a later point, I knew that it would drive fine and the Landcruiser is a champ which could take a beating like no other vehicle.

Today was just one of those days where I felt that I have finished all the reserve energy I had. I left work around 6:15 pm and I was both hungry and sleepy towards the end of the day. As soon as I got in the car I knew that I wanted to get home as quick as possible, when I walked in I headed straight to bed to pass out.
I went to sleep and woke up just before 9:00 pm and I had my lunch/dinner which was something light since I didn’t feel like I wanted to eat much. When I finished up I headed out to the barber shop to get a cut and shave since I felt that I didn’t get anything done today except sleep so I thought I should probably head to the barber since it was on my to do list. It was nice that the roads were relatively empty when I was going to the barber and it was exactly what I needed as soon as I walked out I felt refreshed and clean, a little bit more awake then I was before.

I went the other day to get my passport update so that I have new one with an updated photo (Which makes me look like a criminal). So I went to get my passport updated and they told me it would take one day, then I told them I want to change my occupation to what I do, they said that would take an extra two to three days. So I told them what occupation they could put and they had some of the dumbest requirements I have heard, except for one which was reasonable.
Occupations:
End result I just went with student because I want my damn passport and I didn’t want to wait another few weeks until they figure out what the hell documents they want.

This is a short notice 24 hour trip to Dubai to get some work done and get back, I have begun to get annoyed with these really short trips. I don’t mind if I can drive there, when driving its an exploration.
At this point I only paccked a few t-shirts and a few shirts for this trip and nothing much, its very light and simple. I didn’t want to check-in a bag so I packed it all into my carry on. I just loaded up my laptop with a few episodes of anime and some reading material and I am good to go. The airport is filled with a few people taking business trips as well you could tell from their attire and what they are reading.
I ran into an old friend and I didn’t even know he was married which was a surprise. He is traveling with his wife to take her CFA exam in Abu Dhabi, and he finished his a little while ago. There is always a surprise at the airport.

After realizing I haven’t taken any passport pictures since I was 16 yearold I decided to get some done in my rugby pullover. I didn’t have a clue where to go and I remembered somebody telling me Bushehri shutdown a while back now. So I called up a few people and I was given a number to call. I talked to him and he told me to come to PhotoKina in Hawally which I did.
The place was relatively easy to find and the staff were very easy. The man put me in a seat and started flashing a million flashes and blinded me but he took all the necessary shots. When I saw my pictures on the computer I felt that I looked like an escaped criminal, the pictures look funny but at least people will stop saying that its not in the passport. Now I will go another while before taking pictures at a studio, but they did a decent job.

Over the past week and a half I have been reducing the amount of food I intake which I think has been good. I have stopped drinking anything except water, and I have stopped eating rice so that didn’t fill me.
Eating less has helped me a lot to keep on the go since I don’t feel like passing out right away after eating and feeling exhausted. I eat just enough not to feel hungry and at that point I can get up and do other things. I do feel healthier and I want to continue this eating habit since it will help me reduce weight, its not a diet but just regulating my eating habits. And I will try my best not to eat ice cream at all, even though I love it.

I have forgotten about my passport for a little while now except when I am about to travel, and since I’m flying on Friday to Dubai for some quick work, but then I might be sent to Germany next week but that will be tough.
At this point I don’t have a passport and all my Visas have expired. So now I have to renew my Visas as well as my passport.
Time Needed:
So its going to be tough to travel to Germany next week but there seems to be a lot on the schedule these days. Then I came to the realization that I don’t have pictures for the passport and I have really changed from when I was young, the picture I had was when I was sixteen and I was getting a lot of trouble for it at airports, so I need a new picture as well.

I was laughing when I got this email from Dreamhost support last night, I was messing around as usual and I have a few web addresses trying to think what to do with them, then I was checking my normal mail and saw this from support. It seems there was something on ZDistrict that people were downloading constantly and it was causing havoc to the server.
We are contacting you to inform you that we have had to throttle the connections to your site (zdistrict.com) as it was causing the apache server you are on to run out of available connection slots. While we attempt to avoid disruption of customer services in this case it was causing problems for other users so we were forced to take action. If you can redesign your site to be less process-intensive (we only throttle sites when they are causing load in the server in addition to having many connections – if you just have static content for example that’s easy for the machine to servce up and we can just give you more connections) we’ll be happy to review the case for you. It is also possible that you have outgrown shared hosting and are ready for your own private server:
If you are interested in that option please contact support with any questions you have any we’ll be happy to assist you.
I won’t really be doing anything to adjust whatever was happening!

After finishing with my car I needed to get it cleaned up and I need to get all the paint residue removed from the vehicle. So I went to Al Falah Car Wash, and the funny part is I ran into another GulfRun Driver on the road on the way there. It was funny, I think Al Falah Car Wash will turn into the Ace’s Cafe of Kuwait, where we all meet up every once in a while.

I took my car straight in and I asked the guy to get rid of all the large smudges, and it showed especially from all the dust in the day. As soon as I took it in I said hello to a few people and kept snapping away as usual. Then I was talking to my friend about the whole race and who was a screw up, who was good, who needs a lot of improvement, what surprises we had, and how want to go back but after we recharge everything. It was one hell of an event and we all enjoyed it, now Al Falah Car Wash will always remind me of good times, other then the really good service I will be going back to meet up with people for 20 – 40 minutes. I just wanted this wash to get the car cleaned up which they did.

After the major car service I’m taking it for a detail and that is when these guys shine. I liked my car more with the GulfRun Stickers!
