So what exactly happened:

Two months ago a speeding camera too a picture of me going 145 kph in a 120 kph highway on the way to the airport. I thought no problem I’m only a little over, so no real problem.

I had to do a few things to change the registration of vehicle into my name, then there was this obstacle of a hold. Online it said I had a 20 KD fine for going over the speed limit by 20 kph. I thought no problem but it turns out because I had a previous speeding ticket from over 8 months ago they gave me two points and I had to have my license revoked for two months.

That is just ridiculous, they give out points whenever they want and I didn’t even know the point system they mentioned back in September is in place. I don’t know why they don’t just increase the fine, I honestly try to avoid the cameras so that I don’t pay too much. Putting these suspensions is stupid, I’m still going to drive, its not really going to stop anyone. But fines which stop your work and personal fines getting processed then you are going to pay and not get into too much trouble.

After a little tugging and pulling here and there I got it cleared without getting my license pulled, but the whole run around is just ridiculous!

They have a stupid system and its pointless!

I have been trying to get the wireless internet to the basement for the past few months but no luck since being two floors up and a lot of concrete really doesn’t help the signal. The reason I want to get internet down to the basement is to play X-Box Live and to stream media through my X-Box. I have connected two Cat-6 cables from my room through the pipes to the basement, and I connected to the router.

X-Box has just anounced compatibility with H.264 and MPEG-4 which is what most of my media is, so now I can stream my shows directly throw it. I know that there is the XBMC that was developed for the early X-Box with lots of compatibility, but I dont want to use the old one. This May update has done a few things I wasn’t expected such as stopping the ability of downloading HD Trailers which is really annoying. I’m currently happy with the X-Box 360 and I really enjoy the online gameplay.

The weather has been horrible for riding for the past couple of days and the dust has settled down. I wanted to go riding but I wasn’t sure when I was going to go. I decided to get a shave my head and get a shave. It was great, 5 minutes to shave the top, and 20 minutes to get the right shave it felt great.

The weather was a litte on the hot side, and there was a decent amount of traffic, but every once in a whlie I would get a nice cool breeze. It felt like it has been ages since I last rode, I really do love riding and the feeling is just amazing, even in the heat I want to ride, my mind is just concentrating on the corners, velocity, throttle, traffic, and whats coming up ahead, all that with the music blaring, it was great.

I have to say that its difficult finding the right desk and setup for your PC as well as day to day tasks. I have had this desk for over 10 years now, and I really do love it, it does the job for the space I have. I wish I had dedicated office/media area in the house for myself but I only have my room to tweak to my liking. So I was messing around my desk area since I just installed Vista and I changed the screen orientation to enjoy the length of the screen with all the different windows. I have to say that surfing with your screen in a vertical position makes it really easy to read a lot of things without having to scroll, and you can hide the windows gadgets bar to see more of the window. It has a different feel to it, and I’m doing this on a DELL 20.1 WFP screen from 3.5 years ago now, I wish I could get the same model screen and have two of them side by side, but then I don’t think it would fit on the table.

When I was in London I spent a good amount of time in Virgin listening to a lot of CDs and I picked up the ones I wanted in the end. Now I just have to sit down and listen to them. What I usually like doing is listening to a whole CD on a long drive that way I know which songs I really like without any interupption and nothing else to distract me.

I went over to my cousins place on the very dusty day, ready to start our usual marathon. On my way there the roads were so dusty that I was sliding around on all the turns which was quiet entertaining. I got there and the first thing I ask for was some Orange Sherbert but that wasn’t readily available. We started off with Friday Night Lights, and I have to say the show just keeps getting better and better! I really do love this show and the season finale was great and I’m happy NBC signed it up for a season 2!

We were then interrupted by the arrival of our other cousin! He was late, very late, and he wanted us to stop watching Friday Night Lights (The Season Finale) to chat! What Blasephomy! We stopped and he wouldn’t answer some of our rediculous questions, but it was entertaining bagering him with rediculous ideas! He was annoyed with our ritual of marathon, but all will adhere to it!

Then started watching Sleeper Cell for a bit and then we stopped it since it wasn’t that good of show, I was disappointed really. We then swtiched to something a lot better, and I got to watch the most important scene in 300! It was fantastic! I don’t know how many times I have seen 300 but I still can’t get enough! THIS IS SPARTAAAAAA!!!!

I have been looking forward to the May Update of X-Box Live since then I could stream different types of media files from my computer to the X-Box 360 and watch it on the basement. But like any update there is some bad that comes with the good, what they failed to mention when you update is that if you are outside the United States it will have a slightly constraining affect.

Everyone knows what the update was supposed to do here is what they didn’t mention:

• You can no longer download media from the X-Box Live Marketplace, specifically movie trailers which I find is dumb, why wouldn’t they stop you from watching movie trailers. I have my settings on the US as the local area with my information pointing to a US address with a US credit card and billing address. So they seem to be stopping it by geographical location.

I find this to be very annoying, and if I knew this was going to happen I would not have updated my machine, but its too late now and I’m stuck with it. I still do enjoy X-Box Live but I would have enjoyed downloading those movies and watching them in high definition.

I am making some progress with the customization and fixes on this machine. The customization is all due to the gadgets the I downloaded to the right toolbar which are very useful for me, there are some which I love and some which are cool. The machine itself is very smooth and I had a bad image of how Vista was going to be but Microsoft did put some decent effort into this program. There are still some compatibility issues that they need to work out so if you don’t need to change then you are better off waiting a little while longer, this isn’t my main machine so I don’t have to depend on it for critical tasks, I am enjoying the interface and finding out the new ways to modify it. It feels like a similar but in a different way.

I solved the sound card issue by downloading the Vista driver for RealTek AC655 and it operated smoothly after the driver update and without restarting.

The only pending issue is the ethernet card, it seems that Vista is having some driver issues with Vista products so it seems I have to wait. For right now I’m satisfied with the use of the Linksys G-Wireless adapter.

There is no real explanation that I could come up with this morning for this sandstorm. I woke up at 6 am planning to ride for at least 1.5 hours before going to work and just enjoying the day. I woke up and opened the curtains, when I saw what it looked like outside I checked my watch to make sure I didn’t wake up too early. Everything looked dark orange from my window and all hopes of me riding today literally went out the window. So I decided to watch some anime since I was up and entertain myself for an interesting day at work. When I was about to leave I felt that Toyota has already tested the Landcruiser in these types of conditions and I was completely confident in the vehicle, for some reason I think they tested the vehicle inside a volcano before putting in production.
My plan today is simple, burn a couple of DVDs of Friday Night Lights, Prison Break, and Sleeper Cell and then head over to my cousin’s place to torment him. I’m hoping he has something good to eat today as well!

Whenever I feel like I haven’t downloaded anything for a while I go on a search with anime and tv shows to see what I am missing and I go for it.

I’m uploading a ton, and I just leave them open to make sure my ratio with the private torrents get better. The amount of media I have for new tv shows which I have stored up to watch later is aroun 96 GB, and for anime its 149 GB (and growing). With the tv shows its simple, but with the anime shows its hard to keep up since there are a lot of new good shows coming out every month or two, and I don’t want to miss any.
