So I was hungry after a long day at work, and I was happy I got some Chinese food. Some chicken chow mien, manchurian chicken, and spring rolls. I was happy I was eating that plus watching anime, I couldn’t have asked for anything more relaxing for then that.

The food was good and I was really enjoying Chrono Crusade since the episodes are getting more and more intense with the story picking up pace.

Then I was watching E! and they aired the True Hollywood Story (THS) of Friends, which brought back a huge amount of memories. I have to say that I love friends, and I still love watching the show if it is on. I do have all the DVDs from all 10 seasons, but I still haven’t seen Season 10 and I’m just waiting to watch it later. It brought back a lot of memories and I will watch it in due time. The show was fantastic, and I still love the whole cast.

The other day I misplaced my keys and got stuck at work for a little while so I was wondering where I could have placed it. So I passed by the starbucks that is walking distance from work, since that was last place I didn’t check. I checked into two offices but I didn’t find them.

When I went over to Starbucks there were some English people sitting in the chairs, and I asked one person if its ok for me to check the chair for a lost key and he told me to go ahead. I check the right side as I was standing and found the key. I dont know how it got in there, but I was happy to find it. But since that little incident I went to Toyota and made two new keys for the Landcruiser so that next time I wont worry too much. We have one copy and now three, and its they are all nice and new. I need to get me a small light key chain, and I have something in mind.

I get heartburn from certain things that I eat and its a few specific types such as greasy pizza, shishtawook with too much garlic, or a low quality burger. These are the things that I usualy avoid, fresh pizza like the thin crust kind or just fresh ingredients, but when its greasy like from Pizza Hut or Dominos it really has a bad effect on me so I avoid them. The other day I ordered shishtawook which had extra amounts of garlic, and I really enjoyed it.

When I woke up in the morning I got this painful sensation in my chest, and I drank a lot of water but still didn’t do much. I went and got myself a cold 7up and that helped a bit. I could feel it, right there with a light burning sensation I didn’t know if it was going to let up or going to get stronger. I knew that is was from the shishtawook and it was completely my fault so I’m not going to do that next time, but damn it was annoying.

I didn’t have any medication to take for heartburn so I went over to starbucks and picked up a Tall plain Mocha Frappachino and I have to say that it felt like the fires of London being put out. I felt so damn good after that. I try to avoid anything that causes me heartburn, and one of those things is things with lots of dough such as pizza or za’atar sandwichs or things like that. It just sits on your chest and doesn’t lighten up, so it isn’t the best feeling in the world.

As Mark has already posted I lost a very important bid, probably the most important thing I could ever bid on.

How events took place: (All Kuwait Time)

11:00pm Saturday night:

I get a call from my friend in California. He says a charity at Stanford University is having an auction. One of the items is to play a role (even if its for one episode or one minute) on 24 and you get a signed script from the producers of the show.

He tells me this happened last year and the person had a blast and highest it went for was $3500. After thinking about it for 3 seconds (not thinking about whether to bid or not, that was already decided, I was wondering if I would take a bullet for Jack Bauer or be shot by Jack Bauer, either way I thought it is the best thing humanely possible)

So I said sure, there was going to be an online bid first and that was pointless since it was going to start the live bid at that.

Then it was emails and he sent me the link (24 Role Bid) to the bid that went up to $7500, I said damn but I’m still not out so I raised my limit to $10’000 and went to sleep. The bid would start at 7:30am Kuwait time.

7:30am Sunday Morning:

It started, the bidding was going crazy, it kept going up increments of 200 and 400.

I raised my limit to $13’000 since it reached $11’400, I told him GO FOR IT!

Then it was between my friend, the Partner of the Aspen Ski Company, and the Wife of the CEO of Callaway Golf. It just kept going, so then I raised my limit to $16’500.

Then at the women bid $20’000 right away, and then she jumped on herself and said $21’000. It sold, and I was shocked, I lost… 10 mins after that she walked up to my friend and said, “She wants to have Jack Bauer’s babys”

I was pissed. I was ready to go overboard for this one, I was going to spend what I’m saving up for a bike to get this role! And bamn, all gone. I know some people might not approve of this but to hell with them. Its Jack Bauer, damn it all. I have a lot of things I want to say to that woman, but if I saw her I might kill her! Damn it!

So after a hectic day at work I wanted to go and I looked at the watch. It was 5:30pm, I really don’t like it when the sun sets before I get home, but the workload didn’t permit me to leave at the normal time. When I decided to go, I couldn’t find my keys. I usually put my Landcruiser key on the desk next to my wallet, sunglasses, and pen. This time I really couldn’t find it, and the other possibilities was that it would be at my boss’s office or my colleague’s office which both were locked so I was out of luck.

After searching for 20 minutes I decided to give up and call home because I know they have a spare. I asked them to send the driver with the spare to my work. So while I was stuck there I finished up a couple of needed emails which just helped me finish a few more things. I was really annoyed that I lost my keys, I’m going to be searching for them, but I never thought I could lose my keys in Kuwait, this is a new one for me, but I’m lucky I was at work not at a random place. It felt really funny and every friend that called was laughing their heads off that I was stuck there. None of those bastards offered to pass by, and I told them that if ever they get stuck I will go back to sleep while they are stuck there! hehehe

While I was sitting downstairs in my basement watching anime I had the sudden urge to have ice cream. I don’t know why but I really wanted to have some 31 Baskin Robins. So I got the Landcruiser and headed over to the Baskin Robins in the Co-op. I was happy to find it open at 8:30pm on a Friday night. Its one of the few Baskin Robins that has Orange Sherbert but I wasn’t feeling that. I tried something new which was the Strawberry Cheese Cake which was pretty good, but then I went to my usual 3 large scoop serving of Chocolate Chip. And damn it looked good. Anime and Ice Cream, how can I complain. I was a happy man.

I woke up early this morning looking forward to riding but when I saw the wind factor and the amount of sand flying around I came to the conclusion that I would probably be blown off the bike so I decided to go back to sleep or at least lay in bed for a little while longer.

By the time it became 11:30 am I got up and had a few things to take care of but I mostly wanted to get a large amount of anime and gaming done today.

Then I headed to the basement to get things started.

Accomplishments:

• 3 hours of Lost Planet, not all at once since it does get a bit tiresome since sometimes I have to repeat. Its a hell of a lot of fun controlling those big robots, and still have a chance to beat them if your robot gets destroyed. I like how the life bar of the player is and it depends on the amount of thermal energy you have to rebuild your life bar. It isn’t difficult but you have to be persistent and it needs some tactics.
• 11 Episodes of Chrono Crusade, I’m really enjoying this anime and storyline is good with lots of action and just the right amount of comedy and drama. I like Rosetta since she keeps things interesting, and Chrono seems to be the character with a lot of power, but only when extremely needed. I still have 13 more episodes to go, but at this rate I will finish them soon.

It was nice just to play video games all day and watch anime, it was relaxing. I just kept on switching between the two.

Heading over to my cousins I had a couple of DVDs in my motorcycle jacket. One was Heroes Episode 17, the other was Stargate Atlantis, and the last was the first episodes of Friday Night lights.

I have to say that the last Episode of Heroes was insane since now there are new players and characters in the show which have made it that much interesting. I really wasn’t expecting it to get this much more insane, but it did and I’m loving it. I wish I had more episodes, I can’t wait to get the new episodes.

Then we started watching Friday Night Lights and I knew it was a good series, and I really enjoy football. I was expecting the series to be pretty good but it turned out even to be better. I was annoyed I only managed to burn only two episodes I should have burnt more episodes. Its one hell of a show and I love football so its a great combination, from the start there is drama and action. Also it helps that there are some hot looking girls in this show not just one so its going to be interesting.

So I went a little while trying to clear one level in Lost Planet and I had a lot VSes (Big Robots) around to fight with but damn there were so many monster that kept showing up. It was all about the approach, and I kept figuring out which monster hides where and towards the end I was figuring out which weapon was most effective. There were times where I had to eject from my machine and runaway as well as shooting the monster. It was a game of cat and mouse, and I was getting killed numerous times. After playing for hours on the same level I thought it would be best to stop playing for a little while and come back later since I knew all the places of the good VSes and where the big monsters where staying. When I tried to get up, I couldn’t my knees were stuck and it hurt like hell to get up but I did.

I went upstairs and burned some DVDs to watch later at my cousins pad and I decided to get a shave and my head shaved. After doing that for 25 minutes I went back downstairs and finished the one part that I repeated 5 times to go to the next stage. I did it very well and I went through it strategically without sacrificing too many of the VSes. i was happy with my results and off to the next boss which I paused to watch some anime. I just started Chrono Crusade which I plan to finish since I have the box series and I know its good, but I haven’t had a chance to watch it and I know its good.

Then I got on the bike and head over to get my haircut and then later on to my cousin’s pad to watch some of the DVDs I burnt.

Now this was an interesting event. My Landcruiser has almost no modifications to it what so ever with a light amount of tint, its more for this unbearable heat then anything else. So atleast in the summer I can touch my steering wheel after having the car on for 10 mins with the A/C on.

My vehicle registration was about to expire so I need to get the police vehicle check done. They usually take a look at your vehicle if its in working condition and your insurance and thats about it. This time the cop said my windows are tinted so I should remove them, and even with a little “help” they were saying that they would get charged for letting this vehicle through. I said thats rediculous and why are they concentrating just on the tint when they are letting banged up vehicles and smoke coming out to pass but not a light tint. I said you can see inside the car, this is for the damn heat but they still wouldn’t let it through. So I removed it myself to get it over with and it was hell to remove it, but I didn’t care. And I told them after they sign-off the paperwork I’m going to get it tinted right away and then he looked at me and he just signed my paperwork.

Then I went to Llumar and got my landcruiser tinted again, it was just two front windows they didn’t even notice the back and front were tinted. This whole process was just rediculous, the car is perfect working condition with almost no modification and so I was really annoyed. They are focusing and dumb things when they should be taking care of other more important things.
